I do NOT recommend using this shop, I went in to get my front brakes done (a little over $600). When I got my car back my front passenger caliber was broken (which they said was not their fault) so then I spent another $400 fixing that. Well fast forward a couple of months and I get a flat tire on the side of the road. They crossed threaded one of my front passenger lug nuts. Which then caused the stud to break off in my lug nut. I took it to Christian Brothers Automotive instead this time. Which was then another $100. Thanks Brake Check!
Time to get my oil change and EVERYWHERE in town was over $100. I got done for less then $60 and was in and out pretty quickly. Not to mention the nicest guy. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Meet John at the receiving end gave him the keys he took my BMW X5 to the bay for alignment then Santi a go did the alignment very nice and humble guy did a great job he knows what he’s doing.They charge $99+tax with three years warranty with unlimited alignment which is I guess not bad if you go with market price.
i got to tell ya, ive been a mechanic for 20 years, i watched these boys tackle one of the hardest alignments, and all i can say is i was impressed, somewhat shocked this is my new place for oil change and alignments. GOOD JOB YALL.
65 bucks for one time alignment, or 99 for 3 year unlimited alignment. i walked out with 3 year alignment and oil change 145 bucks, i even left a tip for the boys.

Brake Check has great service and personable personnel. You got to love every other oil change is half off. I would highly recommend them. No bull. No overpricing. No up selling.
“Car was too low to get on the lift”. Not only have I been to several brake checks before that have never had this issue, but when I looked at the lift my car could clearly clear it. Guy just didn’t want to do his job, don’t come here.
My first of many returns. Was super impressed with this place it's a 10 star for me. I've found a gem. I would like to give a big shout-out to James Genzel for going above and beyond. I'll be returning for my brake job and front end alignment. I just moved here from Dallas and I'll definitely be praising this place.
I used to get my oil changed here but the last time I had it done my car started making a weird sound. They told me motor was about to blow up in my car. I took it to 3 other mechanics and they said no its not. I used to love going here but I paid for the 3 year alignment and about a year ago they told me my inner and outer tie rod so replaced it then they tell me again I need a new one I said sir you just changed it a year ago he looked dumbfounded and so oh ok. Will not go there again.

The manager and the man that worked on my vehicle was a blessing to me, not because I got my car fix free, but because of their customer service, and honesty, The manager assured me that everything will be alright, that blessed hands was working on my vehicle, a man who knows what He is doing, and no one has every brought their vehicle back due to an error.... I can't thank the guys at the College Station shop I would give them 6 stars , we have used Brake Check when we lived in Katy and they are always great and super helpful. And now we have another great store close by. John the manager at College Station was the best they have definitely earned our business as we live an hour away and will come here for my truck and wife's car.
Needed brakes on my Durango. We are new in town so I looked online and decided to try Brake Check. I stopped in and after talking to John, he explained their system. They would bring my truck in for a no charge inspection and estimate, then I could decide what and how much work I wanted done. They did the inspection, gave me an itemized estimate and went over it to clarify any questions that I had. I approved what I wanted done, and they started the work immediately. Before long the work was completed, and the total bill was exactly what they showed me for an estimate!! Prompt work, friendly staff, estimate exactly matched the bill, znd all work done the same day. Very satisfied and impressed!!
Always friendly and gives us options as to what we need now and what will need soon. Setting an appointment might get you in and out of there quicker but we have never a problem just pulling in and getting the work done.
Got in fairly quickly. Small waiting area (fyi for those with kids) but there's a fast food place right next door to pass the time. Also has a tv. Desk attendant kept us informed and was friendly. I've also been to the one in Temple and they too were friendly. Brake check must know what they're doing treating customers with respect. Other businesses could follow suit.

Went in to have them assess warped rotors. They gave me an estimate that included replacing all 4 rotors (only two were warped) for $170 each and would have charged me for new brake pads despite mine having a ton of life left. They removed the extra rotors and brake pads from the estimate only after I asked about necessity. They were also very dismissive when I noted how often autoshops try to overcharge me as a woman. I later did the work myself for $150 total (two new rotors and brakepads) and saved over $1000 from their initial estimate.
Overall seem nice and the free assessment is a great option but would never get any actual work done there.
Fast friendly service people here are awesome and the price is definitely worth it John knows what he’s doing and he’ll break everything down for you before they start doing any of the work and the mechanics were nice and friendly as well I won’t go anywhere else from now on
James and the guys at the College Station Brake Check are knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I’ve been coming here for 3 years and I’ve always received the respect I give. They have never tried to beat me out of any money as I’ve experienced at other auto shops in the area as a female. 10 out of 10 Absolutely Recommend!!!!
Love coming here. The staff is very friendly and do the job in a timely maner. They always let me know when I need to get something checked with my regular mechanic even when it's out of their job area.
I had an appointment scheduled with them for 1:00 when I showed up nobody greeted me and when I finally talked to someone and told them I would be paying cash they told me they didn't accept cash and wanted to charge me an extra 40.00 to balance my tires after rotating them. I was under the impression that if you got your tires rotated they had to balance them from being unbalanced while driving.
I also thought it says on the paper money ( bills ) that this is good for all debts public and private. I will be contacting the BBB and reporting them
I went there for an alignment after new wheels installation. The front desk or the manager is super nice. He asked for details about my visit. Very quick work with high quality. The price is great too!

Nice spot for quick oil change. Professional and average prices. On weekends they are short staffed so be prepared to wait longer than usual. The employees were friendly and courteous.
