Last night, we were referred to new era by Allstate at first they communicated quite a bit. Told us they were waiting on a phone call. We had to keep calling back last phone call was someone will be there within 30 minutes (that was a lie) after three hours we get a different person and kept trying to get payment and we said no one’s even showed up yet. Original payment that was quoted was $145 granted we had a A more complicated case, but we explain that from the very beginning. After explaining numerous times in three hours later We are informed we were missed quoted instead of $145. It was gonna be 1100 and who knows when somebody would’ve come out. This company can take a flying leap I would not use them especially when you’re on the side of the road and need help as soon as possible. We ended up sleeping on the side of the road and we’re figuring this out ourselves. Terrible terrible We will also be telling Allstate the same thing. Thanks, new era towing for a lovely start to our vacation. This company sucks. The communication is terrible and they lie.
Since my initial review was removed, I’ll come and put it again expecting it to get removed. Probably the most rudest stuff you will ever come across then they wanna price go you an overcharge you and then give attitude to the point where I had to have police called just because one of the ladies decided to hang up on me and continuously kept doing so and then played victim. Once the police arrived. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy, then proceeded to tell me at least my vehicle is not the one behind the gate, taunting me and then lied to the police about it I will definitely be reporting it and have already made contacts with doing so
Initially it was difficult to get someone on the phone. I called a few times, but I did get to talk to Barbara. She was cool, kind, honest, direct, respectful. They had to tow my expedition out of a spiral garage in downtown and did a hell of a job. Barbara had my back after I had put myself in a tough situation. Her and Mike took their time towing my truck out, with Barbara walking down 6 floors to ensure my truck was okay. Sits good with me. Thank you both!
Horrible experience!!! Towed me in a spot that was 24-hour parking. With no clear signs stating otherwise. Then called. The lady who they transferred me was overly aggressive off the jump. Then she hung up on me and wouldn't answer the phone, so I had to use a different number to get them to answer. Finally, they gave me a price for me to get it back and was told 721 for truck and trailer. I get there, and she tells me oh sorry that's 721 for each unit." So 721×2 then they say, "Oh well, they removed the drive shaft, so you can either pay our mechanic to put it back on or call loves. Worst experience, even while they are screwing you, they treat you like crap!!!
They towed my car for me 2day n they were fast the price was cheap compared to other places I called Barbara at nite who answers the phone was so helpful I recommend towing wit them n they use a flat bed ty new era towing I'll use yall again 4/8/2025
If I could give zero stars, I would! This towing company is absolutely terrible. Their staff is beyond rude, both over the phone and in person. They have no regard for customer service and treat people with complete disrespect.
To make matters worse, they left my 77-year-old mom standing out in the rain for an hour, a situation that could have been easily avoided with a modicum of courtesy and professionalism. They showed no concern for basic human decency. The level of unprofessionalism is shocking. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
It is appalling that they are still in business. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. Avoid this pathetic business at all costs!
Dangerous and Aggressive never hire these guys for your property they will get you sued and they don’t know how tow with care! Look how they towed this truck on the highway.
These guys are outstanding, went above and beyond. They hooked me up $$ and had my work truck loaded up in less than an hour after I called, and brought it to a mechanic they recommended that was just as awesome as they were! Fast, professional, and reasonably priced
Karma is a funny thing. If you find yourself in a bad situation or in great difficulty, there’s a very good chance that your attitude and your actions put you there. I cannot imagine that it is a happy thing to deal with people who have had their cars taken. But dealing with the staff of this fine establishment I can only wonder what did they do to deserve this. And it makes me glad that it only cost me $238.65 to get away from that place and it makes me want to be a better person so I never have to deal with them again. Their rudeness, incompetence and general nastiness were enough to make me wanna take up religion, because dealing with the staff at this fine organization was a foretaste of Hell. I can only wonder what I did in my past that was bad enough to force me to have to deal with these people. I wonder if there’s some kind of bonus for being snide and obnoxious?

Sean showed up and was fast and expeditious on getting my truck loaded and helping me assist him with loading the truck so it's safely got tied down and loaded. Great conversation with the driver taking the truck to my house. He placed it exactly where I wanted it to be which is greatly appreciated. I just want to say my experience with new era Towing was great.
My 65 year old physically disabled mother needed to go to the ER today and had her car towed by this unprofessional company. My elderly father moved his car onto a grassy area because my mother could not walk due to her disability. In 10 minutes of going into the house for my mother and her medications, their car was told without warning. My parents thought someone had stolen their car. Called the cops and found out this sorry company had the vehicle. When trying to get the vehicle out of tow, these fools has my mother walk from outside the fenced area to get her vehicle. I get that sometimes people take advantage but that wasn’t the situation in this case. I hope that your parents are repaid, twice over, the gratitude and respect you showed my elder parents. Despicable!
Rude service - employees talk down on you as if your incompetent. They are not understanding or compassionate of your situation.
They are quick to judge and most definitely seems like the incompetent is New Era Towing. It's one thing getting your vehicle towed, its the obvious you just want answers, New Era towing definitely doesnt help the situation! Horrible SERVICE!!!! They lie about the location where your vehicle is and their hours of service.
They charge ridiculously just to be able to take your vehicle out.
The lady who answers at the front desk is extremely rude, Aswell.

So let me tell you about this company the owner is just flat out rude and lied not only to me but to both companies that handled my calls for the drop off my car who happened to be Mercedes. Ma’mm you absolutely have the worst service ever and lied to the company and told them two different stories from it was raining to it was closed and neither are true. I mean looks like it was clear and dry to me. You than preceded to threaten me to drop my car because I didn’t want to do what you wanted and left me in no position and so you won. Well here is your review and the repercussions of your horrible attitude and service. I have been in touch with Mercedes Benz and have provided photos and evidence to all your lies. You could have just been honest and say you couldn’t go. Not to mention I talked to you this morning at 830 and said you would follow up and never did to your assistant calling me and saying my car was on the way and that’s funny it showed up at 110. I go to my friend’s house to drop something off and literally 15 minutes later, I come back to go home and car’s GONE. I called like over and over and their line says to call back when they open at 6 am when they just towed me within 15 minutes ago and I wasn't staying the night or anything and he’s already taken my car. So my friend takes me to their ghetto downtown lot that’s 30 MINUTES away and guess what, the cars not even there yet. Unbelievable I just want my car back!! Not operating hours my cheeks!! They are operating alright!!
After 3 local company’s, one guy saying he couldn’t do it without damaging my car I said no I’ll find someone else. Lastly, New Era Towing sent Felix in the rain, he not only managed to get my non moveable Land Rover Discovery that could not go into neutral onto the flat top of the tow truck, he left it damage less. Since my preferred auto repair shop wasn’t open, he towed it home and I requested him again for Monday. He was honest on delays and sent me updates on load up and drop off.

This company did an excellent job towing my vehicle. Felix took great care of my car as if it was his, and I definitely appreciate that. Five stars to this company and Felix for their awesome work.
HORRIFIC company. Poor and incredibly unpleasant service. The lady there is not nice at all. Make sure and know your towing laws!! Ask for a police officer on standby since they want to try to be slimy. VERY rude staff. The lady on the phone was not pleasant and even worse in person. The employee in the box said “I have the right to refuse service” AFTER taking the money. They also said on the phone pay in cash but BY LAW they have to take credit, debit, and cash. Read every law in San Antonio on your rights!! Do NOT let this place bully you they are an awful company.
Very rude and unprofessional. After 1 minute in the phone I was told I would be blocked and no one would speak to me . No help was offered and the truck was towed even though signage permitted . I am seeking corporate office information. Instead of arguing and trying to go back and forth as to why y’all have soooo many reviews of being rude and unprofessional, worry about why your business only has a 2.6 rating . Coming from a business owner with 5 stars across the board. Ratings even worse on Yelp with a 1.5. And I would LOVE to hear this recording considering SEVERAL reviews also state that the two women that answer the phones are liars .
Great experience with New Era towing!! Polite, courteous, professional and experienced. Trucks are professional grade and clean. I can tell this company takes pride in their business. Rude , office personnel are horrible. They lie , and then accuse you of being at fault.
We sat on the side of the road 3 hours waiting. The text from the company office kept replying 30 minutes. They said the driver would call. He finally called and yelled , “ this truck will only go so fast.” He final arrived at 11:00 am. He was not in a uniform , he had a knife attached to his belt and proceeded to tell my husband “fuck you”! He told my husband to wait 2 more hours for the next tow truck and drove off laughing. When I called the office I was told it was my problem and nobody ever said 30 minutes. Jokes on you office … I have it in a text.. You have one job and one job only. Get it right people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Horrible business....they make things as difficult as possible. They are working together with New Era Towing, towing people's vehicles who are just parking in a TRUCK PARKING LOT, trying to make a living and park for two days before getting back on the road, and they want to have signs in the lot that are halfway hidden in the trees saying only for 24 hours. Yes, there's a sign up further but we didn't go in that way and have parked in this lot previously with no issues. The signs that were near where he was parked were partially hidden from view because of trees. The business doesn't have a problem with trucks parking in the truck parking lot, but these people are out looking to make an easy quick buck at honest hard-working people's expenses. Then when talking with them, they say things like "it's not my fault you parked there for more than 24 hours" (even though we've never had an issue there before, so they're obviously on the prowl), then even had the audacity to say "it's not my fault you have to get to work" when we were trying to get the address to where his truck was so I could get to work. They're also charging an atrocious amount. $1099 for a truck and trailer that they towed 2.5 miles! Made us go through ALL kinds of hoops just to be difficult. He's an owner-operator and they made him have his insurance company add him on as a driver to his own companies insurance policy even though he's listed as the owner, in order to get his vehicle. Even the insurance agent said that's an odd request, I've never had to do that before. They're just making up the rules as they go. Then the owner of the towing place made him have the insurance agent change the way his name was listed on the policy, etc etc etc. These are unethical, immoral people running these businesses. If I could pass out bad karma willingly, I would gladly do so, but since I can't, spreading the word is the next best thing. DON'T go anywhere where there are signs saying New Era Towing because they are predators and don't do business with Primetime Vehicle Management. The BBB is my next stop but I already saw that they're not accredited with the BBB, I think we all can see why.
This place needs to take a customer service etiquette
I spoke with 2 different people and it’s hard to determine which one was more unprofessional and rude. I could not ask or say anything without getting a snarky comment in return.
They decided they would not be talking to me anymore or answering my phone calls and hung up.
The next day I spoke to someone and they were able to help me and gave me a pay off amount on picking up my trailer. On Monday however, the person I spoke to the day before was not there and I was given an amount 100.00 higher than I was originally quoted. There wasn’t any communication between employees or any management to prevent or avoid these situations.

You're lucky to even get anyone one the phone. Then once you do they have zero time for your questions, they yell at you, and then hang up on you.
They pick and choose who gets their car which way.
Friend went got her car NO ID needed NO Insurance, nothing but the cash needed.
I went and had to email my ID, my insurance and then I needed to wait another hour to get my car. After making an appointment!
The treatment is ridiculous, overall experience one hundred percent UNPROFESSIONAL business.
What a wonderful experience! The Driver Michael was beyond courteous and made sure to call me as he was about to arrive and when he delivered my vehicle to the shop. Additionally, he also told me that the shop I decided to take my vehicle to was a great shop and for me to rest assure that they would take care of me. What a way to make someone feel at ease!
My vehicle got towed from this lot about two months ago where I and many others had parked in prior to changing hands to a new owner(unbeknownst to everyone since there is no signage regarding this). There was another reviewer who mentioned "predatory towing" and I couldn't agree more. The signage with info they told me I was in violation of is up against the curb facing the street and nowhere else in the lot. I didn't use that entrance, and it's clearly insufficient if any one else were to. Guarantee they made a lot of money for however long they were allowed to do this. Towing services don't have to be shady, but it seems like it's in the fabric of this one.
This company engages in predatory towing. The tow truck driver said I could probably get it in 1 hour after encountering him outside. I called New Era Towing and was told I had to wait 2 hours to pick up which makes no sense given it's a 24-hour facility (according to their website + this was not after midnight). When I went to pickup, I was told I could not pay via credit card only cash/debit. Once I paid with a debit card I was handed a receipt which I had to sign stating at the bottom "If paying by credit card....". I of course, told the lady there, "I thought you said I couldn't pay with a credit card!?" The lady told me it was wrong and she would tell her boss about the error. I later googled and Texas state law says a towing company MUST accept a credit card as a form of payment. they also refused to give me the property owners contact information even though that's something I should be able to get. This company likes to take advantage of people and of course operates out of Prime Time Towing. Name changes are sketch. Probably because it's a bad business overall.
New Era will reply with lies... Don't believe them! If you read the other reviews you'll confirm my words. Barbara, the manager, is the worst human being ever. She's rude, impatient and feisty.
As other reviewers stated, she hangs the phone on you, stating she doesn't have time for your questions !!
And if that wasn't enough, when asked, she won't explain how their fees are calculated. Shady business. Will ask my HOA to switch to another towing company, people shouldn't be treated the way Barbara treats us.
By the way, please note I'm NOT complaining about being towed, but about the WORSE THAN RUDE person in charge.
