My wife and son were stranded just 9 minutes away from this place of business. I called at 7:15 on a Sunday night to get help for them. The rang repeatedly. When someone finally answered, I told him my predicament, and he hung up on me. I called back, but no answer. I guess they don't need the business.

I called this company (towing San Antonio)
Also know as Shield towing. I told them I needed a tow. This was at at 10:30pm. They said "tow truck will be there in an hour". I said "ok"
I told them exactly what year, make, model of vehicle I have. They even asked me for pictures of my vehicle. I texted the pics to them.
Tow truck never arrived.
By 12 midnight I'm call them back, and no answer. I called the original number and the number i texed the pictures to. No answer.
I Can't even leave a message because voice-mail is full. Tryed multiple time. (At minimum 10 times) No one answered.
Keep in mind they already charged my credit card $300. I had to pay up front. That was a big mistake. Lesson learned.
They farmout the job to another company.
They send a tow truck that arrived at 1:30am that could not do the job. Flatbed tow truck could not handle the hight nor the weight of my vehicle.
That driver call their office and asked for a different tow truck.
He tell me 45 minutes.
So I wait. At 45 minutes I call them ask where the tow truck was at?
They tell me 35 minutes out. So again I wait.
Finally the driver calls me, tells me another 15 minutes.
Finally the tow truck arrives at 3:30am (5 hrs from original call)
He gets it loaded. By the time we get home to drop off my vehicle, it's 4:30am.
It took a total of 6 hrs.
I don't know if these guys are stupid, incompetent, idiots , morons, or they just plainly flat out lie to you. And you can't do anything because they will charge you a cancelation fee. $169.00 cancelation fee.
Don't hire this company. They lie, and are full off s$!+. Definitely use someone else. I'm going to file a complaint with ground transportation, where they get thier permits from. Not sure if this company is just a broker, but companies that operate like this should not be in buisness.
Don't waste your money or time with these clowns.

This San Antonio, Texas towing company saved the day when my car broke down on a busy street. My automobile was safely transferred to the auto shop by their team after they arrived quickly and loaded it onto the tow truck with precision. In a time of crisis, I appreciate their dependable and effective towing service.
Around 1pm on Sunday, I called 8 different places to either get no answer or no available trucks. These guys answered and got me where I needed to be within 1.5 hours, very good communication Thanks!!

I've used their towing services several times and have always found them to be timely and professional. They've always shown up on-time, and they've treated my cars with the utmost care. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the San Antonio area that needs a tow.
They connected me to a company that quoted me a "flat rate" of 185 dollars to tow the car 4 miles. When I said that seems high, they immediately hung up on me. I then called Chacon Towing and they said it will be 100 dollars. Needless to say Chacon got my business, and not the rip-off artist. Towing San Antonio contracts with various towing services so there is no way for me to know which service/company employs the gentleman who hung up on me.
I really appreciate that one they answer the phone and didn't call me back later. And two they got there in an hour. I've waited longer for tows. The man was very polite. I would definitely use them again.
Scheduled for 11 o'clock but they arrived at 9:30. The first driver left because I wouldn't be there until the time I scheduled so i had to wait for another driver. The second driver was great though, saved the rating
Left my elderly mother in a parking lot for 5 hours!!!! I called them with her on the phone because a guy came out and said he didn’t have enough charge in his charger? (Totally incompetent) and said someone would be back in 20 minutes. Called an hour later with my mom on the phone and she is crying because it’s been 5 hours now, just asking if anyone was on their way, and they hung up on us!!!!!! They were outsource by Allstate and said they wouldn’t talk to us, to ask Allstate about any concerns. DO NOT USE! They obviously have no concern for customers, not even elderly customers stranded in the heat!!!
I’m very disappointed with this company. I was told that The tow truck would pick my car up in 45 minutes to a hour. I’ve been waiting over two hours on the side of the highway and no one has come yet. They charged me 180 to go 4 miles. I don’t think it’s right that they charge you up front for service that’s not completed. They give you a estimated time and don’t show up or call you back to update you on how long the driver is delayed for or going to take when they’re late. This company is not very professional at all during this event. I’m very disappointed that I chose them for help.
Third party service. Charged almost $200. Wanted to cancel and they were gonna keep almost half that as a cancellation fee. Tow operator was a good guy but the company that called him out, shady. What goes around comes around. Never using this company again.
Scam services. Called and was charged 200 upfront. Waited, called to check ETA, was told they were turning a minute out. Called back and was told again he was a minute out. Asked for a refund, was told since he called me and confirmed he was coming, which is a call I never got, was charged $60 for the refund. Look for a better company
Everyone I talked to or dealt with was so incredibly nice and helpful. From the initial call to the tow itself, everything was handled very professionally. Hands down the best company Towing Alamo I have ever dealt with!
I have, unfortunately, run into car problems twice in a relatively short period of time. The only thing that made both experiences positive, with all of the frustration and negativity, was Towing Alamo company and its awesome employees. Very quick, efficient, and respectful. Thank you!
If I could leave no stars I would this place is a scam all they are is a middle man. The guy on the phone made it sound like it was going to be a flat rate of $59 but when the driver finished it was $150. And the driver was over two hours late witch I had told the guy on the phone that I had to be at work by 9 he said he’ll be there at 8 so 9:30 hits and I call trying to cancel then I was told that they would charge me the $59 if I canceled witch I figured it shouldn’t be charged seeing that it was there fault so waited another 30to45 minutes and still no driver so called back again and was given a attitude said the driver going to call you right now and still nothing well just be careful dealing with these guys nothing but scammers pay cash don’t give out your credit card
Five stars go out to Towing Alamo and my driver by the name of Toby Herrera. I had to blown tires on my Volkswagen Passat about a week ago... Geico told me over the phone that it would be 60 to 90 minutes before a tow truck would arrive to assist me and Toby showed up in less than 30 minutes. Toby was propped, professional and really seem to be passionate by his job / career. We had a great conversation about his family and his children going through life. Tell me even offered to take me home right around the corner from the drop-off address. Again 5 stars all day long. Thank you for your amazing service guys keep up the excellent work.
Horrible I called, at first male was nice and respectful told me yeah wil hop on to it briefed me down mentioning it would be 125$ I said it gettin dropped off less than a mile he said yes I understand but that’s our minimum, turns out had to wait an hour an 20 minutes for tow truck gets there hes nice start driving literally 5 minutes to destination starts releasing vehicle an tells me if my card if is on file I said yes call them sure enough I just get my wallet an he tells me total is 214$ total for the tile I was he told me 125$ he said no but since I towed it an because the distance I said we didn’t even drive a mile I can see the spot from where we are where you picked it up at he said it’s regulations.... horrible company will not recommend AT ALL!!!
Unethical deceptive business practices with no appologies. This company is calloused to any critical review. The truth is they take advantage clients who are in emergency automobile crisis and compound the problem by charging TWICE as much as any reliable tow service. Do not keep patronizing these scammers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! There are so many other companies that are waaaaay cheaper. The dispatching company said the fee was $79 and they needed a card over the phone. So then they find me the most expensive tow truck driver in San Antonio. The driver charged me $125 for him to pick up my car with a $5 per mile rate for 11 miles. Let me
Just say there are drivers in this city that would have done it for $75 total cost. The dispatcher failed to tell me I would be charged these other amounts. So because they asked for a credit cart before the driver arrived I figured they’d drop the car off and go. The driver couldn’t lower my car until they run the card for $259. If you have absolutely no other choice...make sure you ask the dispatcher what the tow truck rates are.
Rip off save your money call a real company! You pay for them locating a tow service for you. $59 charge on top of toll. Call your bank and stop the hold and get your money back I did. Say they double charged you cash and card. LOL! ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!
Told me it would be 59 for 10 miles plus 3 dollars for each additional mile. It wad 14 total. When signing off the tow truck drive had a bill of 140 for special tools needed. He explain it was because he had to push the car to his truck too which I helped with from my drive port.
As a service member I am highly disappointed.I was charged for things they didn't mention and on top of that, I called at 6pm right after I got there from work and they said 30 minutes then they will be at my location. They showed up at 9:30pm not to mention communication was terrible. I had to call seven times to check on where the driver was, what was taking so long, and if they even remembered that someone was waiting on them. Upon calling the last three times phone etiquette was poor. The individual sounded the way I should have. No motivation. I was not able to see my daughter tonight due to the poor teamwork they displayed. Not only that, but now I am down an extra $100 because of pure greed from my perspective. I was charged for them to come out and for them to actually tow it, mileage and outside of 1604 fee which was basically maybe two or three blocks away from 1604 literally. A petty fee that I feel was added on just because. On the phone I was assured the mileage fee and the fee for them to come out and that was it. I am very disappointed at this "company" and this whole process. As grown men business should have been handled in a more professional manner. In my eyes this was really unacceptable. I honestly would not recommend to anyone.
I've never had a smoother transaction with a towing service. Their time of arrival was just as what they had told me which was great because I had all my kids with me! Very professional as well and will definitely keep their number in handy.
