Sevier County Iron & Metal is a great place to take scrap metal. The people working there are very friendly and helpful. I have been taking all my scrap to them for the last 2 years. I feel they pay very good. They always get me in and out very quickly. I am glad Sevier County has them so we don't have to go to another county to haul off scrap metal.
I wouldn't want to go anywhere else people are friendly and very helpful the place is very clean and they pay pretty much top price i would recommend them to anybody.
Brought a motor and transmission here got a fair price for them and the guy with tats who helped get it off my truck has great work ethic and very professional
This is my “go to” place to recycle my trash into cash! Their staff members are always professional, easy to communicate with and they all work fast to keep the wait time down to a minimum.

My kids like to collect aluminum cans and then take them. They don't get much for them but it's something they enjoy doing and take them off every few months or so. We've been doing this and using this company for years to do so. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed or management has changed but everyone here used to be friendly and nice and now they are blatantly rude. I am sure that it will not matter to them that I'm not returning since we just bring cans, but it never pays to be rude to people in business.
The guys came right out to me and helped me unload they were happy helpful and nice ppl.everybody always wants more money for nothing.but I wasn't dis satisfied with the price I got.just wish you was open tomorrow. I work in hvac so I always have that type of scrap and my hours don't leave me with much time to haul off my stuff.but this was my first time here and I will be coming back soon. Thank yall for your business.
Bring Mark and Amanda back or just shut it down. Talk about the blind leading the blind... More people are leaving with their load than people getting unloaded. "Just the Facts..."
An incredible family oriented place. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity. They are fair and honest with the pricing. I was reading the negative reviews on this place and can't help but notice they are from fake accounts. Probably competitors.

I don't have anything bad experiences. Price per lb is lower than Barnes or Morristown. Its convenient if I have to make some gas money to get to get to the higher paying yards.
Update : It absolutely is true. I check rates every morning. I've started my day in Morristown and have been paid 7/lb and ended in Sevierville at 5/lb. It's a smaller yard, I get it. But it's absolutely true.
Blatantly lied about the price and type of scrap I was getting rid of. Offered 1.80 per pound on no. 2 copper pipe. About 40 lbs after adjustment and gave me $65…( that’s ended up being about 1.62 per pound that I actually got)
Visited there competition down the road the first time I started scrapping and they were kind of rude. Then made a trip there and they were closed when they said they were open, so I found these folks and ever since every time I go they are polite even when very busy and they get to you as quick as they can. I don’t keep up with scrap pricing but thought what they paid was fair. Would recommend to anyone. You have to be pretty good for me to do that as I own my own business and no what that’s worth.
Pulled the last minute before they closed because another company closed when I told them I was coming, they were so nice to take our load for us. They will be getting all of our future loads. Thank you all.
Honest Review: This was my first time at this scrap yard. Not by choice but out of necessity as thier competitors were closed on a day they're hours showed open? Loaded up and Not sure how it was going to play out with pricing and time I was pleasantly surprised. Fair pricing done quick! Will return. Thank you
Kinda disappointed. I have a trach and therefore it is hard for me to breath. The guy at the yard made me empty my trailer full of steel roofing into one on his bins. He did apologize later and said he was very busy, everyone came at once. When I lived in Illinois last year and took scrap in, they gave a lot more cash, almost twice as much. Boy am I going to miss that. Won't miss Illinois, Tennesse is much better.
I went to scrap Max at 4 and the owner told me they were not open after checking hours it stated open until 5 so I came down to Sevier County Iron and Metal 15 minutes before they closed and they took me in help me unload in the rain and had no questions asked. Awesome customer service will refer and be back myself
I am sorry but my husband has been going to this place for a good while ya'll are the best the place down the road from ya'll they cheat people like crazy they weigh stuff without the scale on. So I am saying that we never had a problem with ya'll always great. Thanks for your hard work.

Awsome! I called to say i was going to arrive 10 minutes after closing. They told "No Worries" upon arrival they helped me sort out everything and even helped unload. surprised i went to psc the week before and tenalco had better prices. Thanks guys will be back soon!!
