The first credit card machine was used in 1950. It is the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty Six. How is it that only cash and checks are accepted? Now I have to make another trip on another day.
Trash, cardboard, and recyclables taken here. Except glass, they don't recycle that. The hours for these services are not the same as for the scales to drop off big stuff.
Must be able to read the signs.
The nice guys over by Household trash will always help you unload if you ask. Some people don't want or need help so they are not overly aggressive about it but always willing.

That said, everyone here was super friendly, these comments are trippin. Workers don’t make the rules, cmon ppl.
The men there are very helpful. The woman at the weight station is on a power trip! Very rude. Instructions and directions as to where to sort your trash is not posted clearly so when we do something wrong yelling and empty threats don’t help.
Called on a Friday and the lady that answered said specifically that they were open on Sunday and what we couldn’t bring to the landfill. We borrowed a trailer, loaded up everything and drove 27 mins. The guy “working” was extremely rude and said the landfill was closed on Sunday. Thank you for a complete waste of the day. Way to go Cheatham county.
Closed sign clearly says open. I have had the worse experience with a mr. Russell one time when he changes the hours to closing from 3:30 to 3:00 I was unaware of the changes and I asked since when he replies for ever and stirs up dust as he punches the gas pedal as he also laughed.
The attendance says he was sorry. If I could just hit a corer of the star I would.
Well this is a landfill. But everybody here is pretty much friendly and helpful. It's usually a very clean and organized place. Very seldom any waiting in line, you just pull up, and usually somebody's there ready to unload your truck your car or whatever vehicle you've arrived in. it's close to home for me and cheaper than paying a garbage man to come every month and pick my garbage up.
To the person that put the review about our hours, our new hours are from 7:30am till 3:00pm they have not changed it on the website, our facility cannot control the website. But our hours come from the mayor, and are posted on the board near the main road.
Beware the posted hours for the dump are not accurate. They closed 15 minutes early on Friday at 3pm, despite the fact that the official hours online say 3:15. I drove 20 miles to get there and found this out the hard way.
Great place, friendly people where you drop off household garbage. Never had a bad experience. I also have never been across scales, so I can't comment on them.
I checked Web Site and it advised open today. Loaded old mattress & box springs, which I had to arrange to borrow a truck.
Guess what - scales were closed. Only taking household trash.
The web site needs to be updated to indicate this information.
Inmates help is great. I feel like the guy into the scale booth makes up prices. He is also very hateful. This place would be so much better without him
Great facility. Friendly and helpful for first-timers and assistance is available unloading your stuff if you need it. They have a good website that makes their policies and procedures clear so review this before you head out. Appreciate the household trash dropoff being open Sunday for those of us too busy during the week to make the trip. I am grateful Cheatham County has a well run place like this to serve its residents.
If you are a Cheatham County resident they are great! For others that try to drop trash off from other counties, if you don't have Cheatham county tags use a little common sense. It's the same for every county disposal site.
Not Davidson County friendly. They won't accept Davidson County tires and want a $25 surcharge for Davidson County residents. If you live in West Nashville, don't waste your time. Just fight the traffic and go east. They're bad. Sorry I have to give any star at all.
