We just had both our vehicles detailed and let me just say I work construction so the driver area gets destroyed. After 9 years and 170k miles my f150 looks brand new again inside and out. I would have never thought it could have ever been brought back to this condition. Very reasonable price. Super quick. Very nice folks. Will definitely be doing more business here.

I have a 2008 Ford F-150 standard shift. It suddenly developed a lot of play in the gear shifter. I called Poor Boys to see if they could look at it. They were booked up for about a week, but Greg told me what to check, and I found the problem. Easy to fix just by tightening the bolt that holds the gear shift onto the transmission linkage. It's working fine now and I just wanted to thank Poor Boys in Kingston for helping me out at no cost! These folks are great and a pleasure to work with!! Dave Wesolowski, Kingston, TN

Poor boys auto did a great job fixing our car. We had a thermostat issue. Addison had lied to us and told us that there was $4000 worth of repairs that needed, and he was honest and did not put the control arms in the swaybar links on that we were told we needed so he gets a five star of you and my book. Greg is honest, fair, and lives by the motto "Right the First Time." He literally just finished working on my vehicle today after breaking down on me yesterday. Greg is the absolute man. We were driving from DC back to Nashville back in July when a spark plug died in our Patriot. After 15 nervy minutes of sketchy low speed driving with the engine bucking and shaking, and trying two other repair shops that were closed, we pulled into Poor Boys. At first Greg tried walking me through the replacement process, but upon seeing my unfamiliarity with it, called the Auto Zone down the street. He had them deliver the parts and fixed it in about 5 minutes. Can't overstate what an exceptional experience it was. He really saved our bacon since my girlfriend and I have about 5 minutes of automotive repair experience combined. We both really appreciated it.

Called ahead and spoke with Greg about my car troubles. He was very knowledgeable and able to explain the issues with my vehicle without fail. He was wonderful and made the experience as painless as possible, even fixed major issues same day! He and his wife are a godsend. I cannot recommend them enough.

this shop has worked on both of our cars for the past few years. new brakes all around, timing chains, and water pumps on both cars. not to mention numerous, "short notice emergency" repairs on an old toyota with 400,000 miles on it. never had any problem with any of the work, and the costs of each job was very reasonable. a good, reliable mechanic is worth his weight in gold. nobody will touch one of our vehicles again now that we've found poor boy's auto repair. Edit, 5-16-2023 Another quality repair job. Timing chain, repaired cruise control, and dealt with nagging warning lights. All repaired in one day !!

I can't recommend Poor Boys Auto repair enough! I have had my vehicle fixed by Greg for several different problems that other places couldn't fix. His prices are the best around and the quality of the work is great. He was very good about communicating the process as he worked on my truck. He really seems like he values his reputation and the quality of his work and is more focused on actually fixing things rather than just slapping new parts on. I will continue to take all my vehicles there from now on.

I called four days before Christmas about having some trouble with the way my SUV was driving. I dropped it off Wednesday night, and before 8am the next morning Greg called to let me know what the problem was and that he could fix it that day! It was ready by noon! Great work and great customer service!

Would highly recommend the detailing service! In one morning took a truck that had been sitting for almost 2 years back to brand new condition! They do absolutely wonderful work and will definitely be using them from here on out!

Had a car with a new engine in it and it acted funny, and usually wouldnt start. I brought it to Greg and he has to tighten and fix most of the engine. Charged me around 600 dollars to fix it compared to the 1000 dollar dealer price to fix it. He has great prices and cards about your car and the safety of it. Would very much recommend.

Greg has always treated us very well. He explains everything and does his best to make sure you understand. One time he told me I was about to need the timing fixed. I wrote it off as no big deal and sure enough a few weeks later it was back getting fixed. I take all of my cars to Greg for preventative maintenance.

TOTAL CAR DETAILING!!! In just a couple of hours, my SUV was transformed! I have all black interior, which always is a challenge for me to clean, but she did an amazing job. I also have two small children which makes the job that much more difficult- my car looks new! I’d like to throw in that she took the time to clean my car seats!!! Service was great and I highly recommend.

Last month I made a call to Greg to tow my car to his shop when it got stuck in my yard. In doing so I made some damage under my car which he had to fix. He did a fine repair job and his work was very reasonable. He sure knows his business!. And he was fast. Thanks a million.

Fantastic place. I take my cars all the way from Maryville to them to work on. Fast reliable repairs and very fair pricing. Just had a starter changed on my jeep after buying the starter myself and having them install it. Starter failed after only a few uses and the owner went out of his way to talk to the parts supplier (Autozone) and get it replaced same day for me. Stayed late to get it swapped out. Best auto repair place I've dealt with in years. Highly recommend!

Shout out to Poor Boys for detailing inside and out, changing brakes all the way around and a tune up in this lil ride. I feel like I have a new car in this 10+ year old vehicle. Great service and quick too. I never thought my floor carpets would come clean, but they are. Impressive! Great service in a timely fashion. I highly recommend them.

Called them to tow my car to a dealership thinking it was an electrical or computer issue. He said he thought it was my battery and to hook jumpers cables up for 15 mins. and try it. I did so and it still wouldn't start so called him back. He said he said he would gladly tow it but he guaranteed it was my battery. He convinced me to put a new battery in, so I did and it started right up. It's great to deal with such honest people. He could of easily just came and towed me and took my money. I highly recommend them!

On our way from Texas to Virginia to move my sister and her family back home when the timing chain broke on our Dodge at about 3 in the morning. Made it off the road to a station and our insurance had us towed to Poor Boys. Called and left a voicemail and had a call back before they even opened! Greg quickly verified our diagnosis and was able to work out getting us a U-Haul to finish out our trip, and even drove us into town to pick it up! He also walked us through the easiest process for getting the truck off our hands and refused cash for the drive into town. Greg is honest, fair, and was able to make our situation so much easier, although it's every travelers nightmare. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I was on the interstate when my van's alternator went out, & I BARELY made it to Poor Boy's Garage. He definitely saved the day. He had it fixed and ready to go IN LESS THAN AN HOUR! I was also expecting to pay $200 more than what we were charged (we have replaced an alternator in another vehicle a few years ago). Definitely an honest, hardworking individual; AND gets the job done in a timely manner!
