Best customer service I’ve experienced at a repair shop.
During a long road trip with my family, our Ram 1500 started misfiring on cylinder 5. I called most shops within 60 miles, and all of them were booked out at least a week. While I was at a tattoo parlor, I noticed a repair shop next door and saw someone outside on the phone. I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask, so I approached him and explained my situation.
That someone turned out to be Eathan, the owner. Even though he said they were booked, he asked me to hang around and said he’d try to take a quick look. While I was in the tattoo parlor Tina came in and took my info, she told they would check it out.
Eathan didn’t just diagnose the issue, he walked me through the entire process step by step, explaining what he was doing and why. He narrowed down the cause of the misfire and gave me guidance on what was going on with my truck.
This was the best customer service I’ve received at a repair shop. Eathan and Tina, thank you both. You went above and beyond anything I expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone.

Amazing! We were traveling through in our small RV and our exhaust pipe had rusted in half. We showed up a hour before close time after we got off work. Talked to Tina over the phone prior to us coming in, and she was very helpful and kind upon arrival as well. Anthony the technician was able to take a look and replaced the rusted section right before close time so we could continue to travel. Very thankful for the hospitality and quick service!

Full service auto shop. Great communication and quality work in a timely manner. The whole team was nice and welcoming. Went in for an oil change and I will be bringing my car back for it's 60,000 mile service. They stand behind the work they do which is comforting and gives you a peace of mind. Spearfish Exhaust Pros has been a saving grace. They worked with me to get my car back in working order in the most timely manner possible. During a big rebuild project they helped make sure I could afford repairs and kept me updated throughout the process. Their communication was top notch so I knew what to expect throughout. The people were amazing. I was in a rush heading to vacation they got me in short notice. I spent over $100 on wipers and have a large area that the passenger side isn't wiping as I'm driving. Disappointed when I could have spent half that for the same result.

My vehicle broke down over the weekend and the tow company recommended Exhaust Pros. We dropped it off there on a Sunday night. Monday afternoon they were able to get to it to look it over and assess the situation. When I talked with Adam he gave me all the information I needed to make the dreaded decision, "do I get it fixed or buy a new one". He gave a very detailed description what he did to diagnose the issue and what the solution could be. Even though I decided not to get it fixed. Exhaust Pros would certainly have been the place I would have vehicle repaired at. They also have great customer service. Tina was great when talking on the phone about my situation. I would highly recommend them.
We were on I-90 in SD with many hours of driving to go when black smoke started pouring out of our truck's exhaust. We pulled over and called nearby auto repair places. None could see us right away. We headed back to Spearfish to get oil. We saw Exhaust Pros a few doors away. My husband spoke with Ethan, and right away, he and another gentleman started checking the codes, looking at the engine, and trying to diagnose the problem. We have a diesel, so they were not able to work on it, but they called another repair place that works on diesels, and within a few minutes, we were on our way there. Ethan, Tina, and everybody at Exhaust Pros in Spearfish SD was professional, friendly, and went out of their way to help us. Tina even had a water bowl for our thirsty dog and some dog treats!! I would give them 10+ stars if I could! They made us feel like family and sincerely cared about our dilemma. Thank you, Exhaust Pros of Spearfish SD!

My starter went out Friday morning 5/10, I called around 9 and had my vehicle towed because none of the other shops called could even look at it for a week. They called me back and confirmed it was the starter after saying they could check it out Monday 5/13. Called me back around 1 to say they were working on it and it would be done that day! Amazing service and great communication, definitely give them a call if you need your vehicle serviced!
Ethan was very down to earth and helpful, he told me what was wrong with my vehicle in a timely manner and offered a plethora of options to fix the problem. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing vehicle help!
My F150 needed exhaust manifolds. I had them order me aftermarket manifolds which worked out extremely well. They complimented me on some of the other modifications my truck has and even went to the extent of washing my vehicle when they were done as a thank you. I would highly recommend this shop.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The lovely folks at Spearfish Exhaust Pros came to our rescue during a very stressful time for my family. We broke down in our electric car literally driving across the country (unfortunately during January's frigid cold snap). We spent hours in our car trying to contact nearby auto shops that could service an EV, with no luck. No one in the entire state of South Dakota was qualified. Eventually we found out the closest place able to service us was in North Dakota. In the meantime, we were told by a local to try contacting Ethan at Exhaust Pros, since he was the only one in Spearfish with experience working on Hybrids/EVs. He was SO kind and offered to look at our vehicle before we paid the hefty bill to have it towed the 285 miles; so we crawled ourselves to the shop. The lovely folks invited us in to keep warm, and even gave our dog water and a treat! Despite not having the onsite ability to fix us up since the issue was not mechanical, he took a look immediately (free of charge), gave us what information/advice he could, and confirmed we would indeed need to go to our car's company dealership. He also provided us with a local tow truck contact, which actually ended up being the cheapest we could find. Ethan understood we were in a difficult position that would not be resolved quickly, and offered to keep our vehicle safe in his lot while we retired to a hotel for the night to await our tow the next day. Ethan refused our offer to pay him for his help, and even graciously declined our small gesture to buy his team coffee and treats, as he knew we had some expensive bills ahead of us. We cannot thank Ethan and the fantastic team at Spearfish Exhaust Pros enough - they showed us compassion and kindness when no one else could help; even Emergency Roadside Assistance! We could tell they really do care about people, whether you're from the area, or just travelling through. Ethan did not hesitate to help us out however he could, and expected nothing in return. I don't know if we will ever be back in this area, but I would highly recommend the team at Spearfish Exhaust Pros to anyone.
We came through from out of town and had a leak in our power steering - we showed up early in the morning and they took us in and fixed it for us within an hour, and were so welcoming and kind - really really great at their jobs, super knowledgeable. Felt like we were being welcomed into a wonderful family business. Such kind people. I can’t recommend enough!

10/10 recommend Exhaust Pros of spearfish. My husband and I were on a road trip all the way from Minneapolis, MN. We ran into some serious overheating issues that needed to be fixed before the weekend- we called exhaust pros late Friday morning and Ethan, the owner was so helpful! He was very respectful and honest to us! But most importantly he was very time-efficient and knew we had places to be the next day, so he went out of his way to meet our trucks needs in time- despite it being a Friday! It’s “scary” to go to a mechanic you don’t know that is 10 hours away from home, but rest assured, Ethan @ EP was great enough that we were at ease during the entire process with him.

We had a pretty major exhaust leak that was rapidly getting worse. They got us in quickly and fixed it perfectly, our car was so much quieter.
They also found a spot which needed repaired that they hadn't noticed on their initial quote and didn't add anything on to the final cost.
I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to call on these folks again.
I was very impressed with the service I received! The people are super nice and very helpful! I got my exhaust fixed in under an hour and got to play with a very friendly little dog while I was waiting!! Made the wait go faster!!

Even though they had a very busy schedule, they were able to get my pickup in and replace the muffler. Quality work, very affordable. Will be taking all of my repairs to them from now on!!
We needed work done on a ‘61 Buick Special in a limited time frame. The owners were so good about getting us in, doing great work, and keeping our car indoors during afternoon thunderstorms. They were really pleasant to work with, reasonably priced, and now our car just purrs! We’re very pleased.

Got truck back tonight and was really impressed with Exhaust Pros in Spearfish. not only did they fix our truck in ONE day we had them fix the back hatch hinge and replace the rear window wiper as well. They also went out of their way to make sure even though they closed at 5pm, to fix it so we could have our family /work vehicle back TONIGHT and someone stayed late to fix it and waited for us to come pick it up at 6pm. Totally above and beyond my expectations and their quote was eight on and didn't break the bank. a lot of other places close at 5pm and say sorry you'll have to wait till we open Monday. IMPRESSED with Exhaust Pros good prices (they beat out competitors quotes) did extra work we asked for without blinking and on top of it all and did it all in a fraction of the time!!
Exhaust Pros did a great job replacing the old rusted exhaust on my older model car. They didn't oversell or replace anything that didn't need to be replaced and made sure the job was done right. The price was excellent, the service was fast, they were courteous and friendly, and they absolutely did right by us on the work done. I would definitely bring my vehicles to them in the future for exhaust work and recommend them to anyone looking for exhaust work in the Spearfish area.
