There is always an attendant on duty and he is super friendly. Easy in/out. Cardboard is at one station, glass/plastic/aluminum at another and garbage is at a third. All are fairly well marked although I did go there three times before I "found" where the garbage goes. I only go for recycling so admittedly I wasn't looking for it the first two times and the third time was out of curiosity. I was not happy to find out I live in a place where there is no recycling pick up no matter what I might be willing to pay for it, but this is a very convenient option to be fair.
Spartanburg seem to be going on a slow slide downhill. I was impressed on my last visit that there were many more storefronts and restaurants I recalled in the past. I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant that we ate at.
This is the only dump in the area until you get to spartanburg which is unfortunately about 20-30 minutes away depending on where you live. It's great, I have no problems with it other than the fact that it could definitely use an upgraded parking lot. It will become so busy sometimes that it impedes the flow of traffic on Edwards Road. It has become so what of a nuisance to the people who live off of this road! Only reason I don't give it five stars!
My sister collected a bunch of bottles to recycle and get paid. Not sure about here, but when we lived in CA, we go recycle bottles, and they pay us some amount. Didnt happen here, and she got upset
There was only one employee working there by himself, and all the customers coming there to drop off their trash were very disrespectful and rude to the employee, jamming up The trash compactor in both fields of cardboard recycling and the normal for all-purpose trash, the compactor for your general trash was jammed up and 10 ft exactly above the fill line capacity bars, so with that problem being said as I stated above I took it into my own action to help out that single employee that was by himself I helped unjam the compactors by climbing into the compactor help unjam it and one by one of every trash bag that the ignorance customers or community that were there there's throwing their stuff wherever, I put a stop to that by blocking the entryway with my vehicle to help that employee, and that employee is a old elder older man that was using a stick to try to unjam the compactor like I said above I climbed into the compactor to help unjam it I took everybody's trash and placing it into the compactors one by one and solved the problem, my name is Mark Bandini and I am with this community 100% with helping everybody out expecting nothing in return no matter the situation, come on y'all there is coved-19 in the air That is no joke to this community let's all be respectful as if it were our own place of business come on people let's help this community out keeping the air pollution quality and helping out every family and each and every single community again my name is Mark Bandini and stay safe y'all and have a blessed rest of the evening thank you !!!
Nice folks ruining it. However, the fact that they do not recycle glass is pathetic and pretty typical for Spartanburg's way of thinking... Half done, that's Spartanburg for ya! .
Pretty pathetic that they don't recycle glass. This is a manned station. Guys are nice but they have to constantly smash the cardboard box or it is filled up... seems like a process that should be done later not during.
