Excellent respectful staff. Very informed individuals. They know a difference between cardboard, plastic and metal. Very knowledgeable. Great And enthusiastic.
Just moved to the area and had a whole pickup load of broken down boxes and wrapping paper. Older Gentleman working there was very nice and directed us as to what dumpsters to use. Total opposite of what we've dealt with over the years in Frederick County, Va 👍😊
Anyone that visits this facility beware. The waste facility has a shed where people are allowed to leave things for others to take if they feel it is not garbage. One of the workers called ‘Dave’ went out of his way to stare at us from a distance as we looked through the shed. There was nothing we needed, so we pulled up to the trash compactor to throw away our household garbage. ‘Dave’ then proceeded to approach our vehicle and make my fiancé and myself extremely uncomfortable. He had been staring for a few minutes at this point. When my fiancé pointed out he was staring and following us around, the man seemed aggressive and approached him rather quickly. He then told my fiancé we looked quote: “suspicious and guilty” since we went into the free drop off shed and had not taken anything. He also mentioned that they have had problems with people reselling out of the shed. I’m pointing out again that we had taken nothing from the free drop off shed, but were continuously harassed by this man. He went as far as approaching the back left passenger door since it was open to peer inside of our vehicle, to the point I had to close the door for my own safety. Dave did nothing to address the situation until confronted by my fiancé and did nothing to effectively communicate what his issues were. This was a simple issue that could have been approached better but instead blown out of proportion even though we had done nothing wrong. Needless to say I do not feel comfortable going to drop off our garbage here, and there was some level of intimidation that Dave was using during the entire interaction to keep people away from the free drop off shed. (We had never seen him there before.) I have no way of knowing if Dave was an actual employee, (we had asked if he was) and he did not identify himself affiliated with any position at the waste facility. From our point of view it was a very uncomfortable situation. Being followed around, intimidated, and stared at is not professional and I will be notifying the county for this behavior.
