I called to price a tow because I needed my truck towed to a garage. The lady on the phone told me that it was going to be 349.00.. all I needed was my truck to be towed less than 5 miles..and then the lady hung up on me when I got mad at the price.They don't listen to the customers at all.i would rather have 85 towing a recovery come get my vehicles than do business with people that are rude.
They have been handling any work of mine for years, recently had a broken window and they went the extra mile and then some to get it taken care of, would not ever go anywhere else!
2014 Tundra crew max 1794 truck sentimental to me. I was in a bad T-bone accident & many shops would not attempt to repair my vehicle. Elgins took on the challenge & delivered superbly. Call it magical or a miracle but the work is OUTSTANDING. My truck looks & drives better than before the accident. SALUTE to their crew and a big thanks. USMC
Very expensive and quite an obnoxious attitude. Their pricing reflects the crazy money they're taking from insurance companies for overpriced, average quality work, that all these type repair/body shops are getting away with these days. What happened to the days of Pride of Work at an honest price?
Dropped my truck off for 4-weeks just to be told it was finally ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I inspected the truck myself before walking into the office to provide final payment and receive my keys. I cannot understate how not-ready the car was for pickup.
After complaining to the office manager that the car had not been put back together, I myself had to sit in the parking lot fixing my own car that I payed them to fix. They of course had their staff helping, however I had to continue pointing out missing items that were neglected to be fixed, even though they were glaring mistakes.
3 weeks later and I am still working on the car that I payed them to fix.
Do not waste your time and money on this place. The staff is very friendly and kind, they just do not know what they are doing in the auto body repair industry.
No QC, no offer to walk me through the fixes that were made, no explantation of why the car is still not done even though I have paid well over the insurance estimate amount.
I could have done a better, cheaper, more efficient job myself rather than having Elgin-Williamson hold on to my car for an extended period of time to not even do a job well done
Destroyed a friend's car, took them 9 months to give him back his car. Will cost him thousands to repair the damage they did to his car.

I dont like saying anything bad about anybody or their business but if I owned a business I would definitely be more considerate of people especially in a world we live in today! If im willing to pay by any means necessary but unfortunately not enough kind hearts left in a world and willing to work with people anyway hey enjoy your money and heaven on earth while it still last! Got towed which was fine but when we called they didn't have decency to say it was $200 cash so when we got there we had to walk 1 mile to nearest ATM at 10 o clock at night. Mind you we talked twice on the phone before we got there. Would have been nice to get a heada up.
literally had to pay $242 for them having my car for an hour at most after being towed. definitely could've cut me some slack seeing I had to leave work and all.
Accidentally ripped my bumper off backing out of a parking space and messed my front end up. They ended up fixing everything and it looks brand new! Labor was over double what the parts cost but other than that I would highly recommend them!
Did a good job after repainting my bumper for the 4th time... I went to go pick the car up and my interior was left dirty driver and passenger seats were dirty both door panels were messed up the car was not dropped off that way I do not recommend this body shop... and i don’t think it takes 2 people to go on a “test” drive.

*Regarding their negative review on Google: It's impossible to bring a wrecker driver that's on the road into a conversation with a client in person in the moment that they are upset over something. Their wrecker stays on the road picking up and dropping off until well after closing nearly every day. And God forbid they clean your car!
I recommend this towing company to everyone 100%. Everyone I came in contact with in this company first of all was very professional ,very courteous and very efficient. All of this with the Southern politeness. I will continue to use these people always.
Very rude people. The paint job was done horrible on my car. The door still had scratches and they also put a ofbig scratch on the hood of my car. I honestly don't recommend this place. Terrible paint job
Do not use this place for anything. They are scam artists who don't do the work they say they will do. My car was hit by someone else and was towed to Elgin Williamson. They held the car so long that the other person's insurance company stopped paying for my rental car (after close to a month), at which point Pedro at EW said that they would cover the balance for the additional days for the rental car. When my car was finally ready, I turned in the rental and paid for the additional days, expecting EW to give me a check for that amount. They did not. They ignored repeated calls to them so that I finally gave up. Six months later, the side mirror on my car that they supposedly replaced fell off my car and was holding on only by the cord (since it was an automatic mirror). In looking at it, you could tell that they had just used some sort of glue or adhesive to just stick the broken mirror back on the car, even though they billed the other insurance company for a new mirror. Avoid this place at all cost!
This was a referral from a very good mutual friend, so the experience defies logic.
I took my car in for some front bumper repairs. I was initially told 2 - 3 days. I accepted there proposal and scheduled to take the car in. I took the car in as planned and was again told 2 days, possibly 3. I left the car.
I called on the second day as was told it's not ready yet, it will be tomorrow. I called the next day just after lunch and was told they are finishing up assembling the bumper than they will wash and clean up. They did say they would call to confirm. By 3.30 pm they hadn't called and since the body shop is almost an hour from my home and I was going to order an Uber to get there, I went ahead and left to get the car. After all they had said it would be ready.
When I got there, I was told it wasn't ready and got a ton of excuses. We have no control over the weather, the paint is still tacky, there was a death in the family, my wife has shingles etc, etc. I asked to speak to the owner since nobody else there has any authority to make decisions and I wanted to be reimbursed the wasted Uber charges. The owner confronted me with an abundance of cuss words, even offered to go outside and fight (very professional!!!!) . He stormed out and said in parting "Leave me the F**k alone and get out of my face. We will call when it's ready".
I called the following day and one of the owners daughters told me the owner said if I brought $800 cash that would complete the deal, and he would reimburse me for the wasted Uber trips. I told her I had no way of getting to a bank to get the cash, so she said it that case it would be $1000 if I was going to use a card.
Of course I paid the $1000 so I could get my car released but have now filed a complaint with my Credit Card company as it's against Visa/Mastercard by laws, to penalize someone for using a credit card.
Oh and the job itself ...... Well it's fair, nothing special. The paint is not a match although very close. There is also some "orange peeling" evident. I guess you get what you pay for. My advice is be very careful here and don't complain or you may have to fight the 350 pound owner in the parking lot. Just be ready to accept a less than perfect, professional job.
First of all, this will be a long post, as I want my experience to be understood. I had my car repaired by them two weeks ago. Now, initially, I was told that my car would be ready by the end of the week. I was only getting my bumper, fender liner, and skirt fixed. Friday came, I hadn't heard anything, so I decided to call them. Then I was told that it should be ready by the middle of the following week. I said ok. Wednesday came, I did not receive a call, so I decided to call them. I was told that my car still was not ready. At this point I started become aggravated and uneasy because I had looked at the reviews for the body shops AFTER I sent it to them to be fixed, haha that's on me. I was told that it should be ready by Friday. I said ok. I received my car last Friday. After I got my car I got ready for work, then, when I went on my lunch break I went to get my car washed. After I got my car washed I went to Wal-Mart for some snacks. As I got out of the car I saw that my bumper was out again, AS IF IT WAS NEVER FIXED!!! And, I had seen that the fender liner was never replaced either. At this point I'm enraged, and it was past 6pm, so I knew they were closed, and they don't open on the weekend. Sorry, I forgot to mention that once I received my car, my left turn signal was blinking really fast, so I had called them asked what's going on because it did not do that before I gave it to them. They told me that my light must have blew out, but I can bring it back Monday for them to take a look at it. I looked it up on YouTube and confirmed what they were saying. Long story short on that, I went to O'Reilly's and got the bulb and fixed it myself. Now, I waited until Monday, I went up there and told them that bumper was out and they never fixed the fender liner. So, in my mind I thought I was gonna have to do battle with them about this because again, I had read the posts on online about them. However, it was completely the opposite. They had informed me that I shouldn't go through a car wash for about 30 days, but hand washing is fine, and they also took ownership of not fixing the liner. They had ordered it that Monday, and then that Wednesday I had brought the car back up there for them to fix within 10 minutes. Moral of the story is, it wasn't a total bad experience, but I will definitely wanna use a more reliable body shop next time. Sorry for the long post, hope it helps someone.
Very rude and inconsiderate. A bad car wreck totaled my car. I had it towed here on AAA’s instruction. I was then informed that they did not handle totaled cars and would charge me by the day for storage. I arranged for it to be picked up first thing the next morning. I was charged 2 days storage even though it was less than 24 hours and within 1 hour of opening on day 2. The woman was rude, insulting, sarcastic and generally unsympathetic when explaining calendar days begin at midnight. I will never go here again. They will do anything they can to squeeze more money out of their customers.
I had my car sideways in a ditch. My insurance company selected this company as the towing vendor. I thought for sure my car was severely damaged. But when my car was brought to me after being pulled out of the ditch i was shocked. The gentleman who pulled it out did so with such care and technique that no damage was done to my vehicle. Im serious everyone is shocked and find it hard to believe my car was almost completely sideways in a ditch and yet the vehicle has no apparent damage unless you fine tooth comb it and you can see slight scratch at the bottom. Which was completely done by me when i slid off the road. My 2014 mazda 3 looks like it did before i wrecked. Good job elgin! Im sure any other vendor would had ripped off the bumper and scratch my car all to heck yanking this thing out of there.
Took longer than expected to fix my vehicle, was incredibly rude and broke something else while working on my vehicle that they refused to fix. Please don't waist your time nor money at this location!
They were so helpful! I normally worry about taking my car to body shops but they had me totally at ease and explain every step of the process with ease. I will for sure use them again and highly recommend them.
These guys are the best. Great tow truck driver, always fast and easy to deal with. I recommend these guys to everyone, simple tow or extensive body work. Really great people and amazing service.
Absolute garbage. Runs in the paint. Trash in the clear coat. Orange peel and buffing compound everywhere. Customer service is terrible. Might as well had bought a spray gun and buffer and done it myself. After 8 weeks I finally went and got it and took it somewhere else and had it done over
They had my car for 12 days..it took.way to long for repairs then it should have. also my door and window is still broken. it sounds like its going to fall off. also my front left drivers side down at my tire, sounds like there is something wrong. while i'm driving down the road my left side tire scrubs and makes an awful noise. these damages were promise to be fix and now i'm still left unhappy.
Paid 3300 to have my 67 impala painted and body work done... Hellen Keller could have painted my car painted my better. The paint is chipping off of my car 3 months later and has orange peel all over it. These guys are garbage. Also after all the body work they backed into something and damaged all the rear end of my car and denied they did it. Close the doors and shut down the shop. This place is a hoax. I'm disgusted. They turned a classic car into an embarrassment. Pedro doesn't know how to run a business and the only people who gave this 5 stars are the people who work here. Don't believe me? Elgin-Williamson fixed my car after I sideswiped my own garage (oops!). The rear driver's side door was banged up really bad. The office staff was very helpful, and I did not need an appointment to have an estimate made. They were able to fix it up, good as new. Too bad they couldn't do the same for the side of my garage!
I have used Elgin-Williamson for several of my vehicles that needed repair. They have always gone above and beyond what I have found any other body shop in town to be and usually at much lower rates. They are local, family owned, honest, and down to earth to work with. Pedro, Billie, Claudia and family are awesome people and my cars and company's cars always come back properly repaired and looking better than they did before they were wrecked..
