This shop is top of the line .. he has been working on My 2013 Mercedes c250 and very was very reasonable .. Zen is the owner is firm but very fair his wife (Sandra) works in the office and she is a very sweet person... The mechanics are very knowledgeable .. I will continue to use the hidden gem auto repair business from this point on they have been great with upfront pricing and not taking advantage of you in any way .. My old ford blew a wheel bearing when I was an hour from home, but thankfully I was only a few minutes from this shop. They got me back on the road in just a few days and did good work at a fair price. I highly recommend using this shop.
Zen and Sandy are the best. They are the only people we let work on our cars. They are affordable, honest, and very knowledgeable. We are so glad that we found them. They do amazing work on our Mercedes. We have also used their towing service as well. Best prices around.
I would never call any other mechanic to fix my car! Ideal Auto has worked on my old wreck and kept it running better than it did when it was new! If I break down, he always comes quickly to get my car. And I have literally cried because he is so much more reasonably priced than anyone else. Years ago, noone could seem to figure out what was wrong with my jeep. I went to several different mechanic shops, and even the jeep dealer told me something totally outrageous. I took a friend to Ideal to pick her car up and happened to ask about my jeep problem...they knew exactly what was wrong, quoted a price over $1,000 cheaper than everyone else, and fixed it for under $200. I have never used anyone else since, and have always been completely happy. He fully guarantees all his work, and they are the nicest people you will ever deal with! You will not be sorry, I promise you!
Towed and repaired my vehicle within 24 hours and saves me a ton of money by correctly diagnosing the battery terminals as the problem versus what I was led to believe by another business.who said it was a bad alternator. That diagnosis saved me a ton of money. Thankful for their honesty

I was coming back from out of town and my check engine light came on, then my engine overheat started flashing. I had to get my car towed to my home. Furthermore, I immediately contacted one of those mobile repair companies. The company shows up and tells me I have a bad radiator and in order to get it repaired plus labor would be around $1500. I thanked them for the quote and told them I was going to get a second opinion. I contacted Ideal repair, and they had a tow truck to my home within 30 min of the call. And the owner told me it was just a bad hose that connected to the radiator. That was the only issue. They even replaced the clips that the first company broke when they were doing their diagnostic tests. From the phone call to my car being repaired the next day for under 400$ for my 2013 Cadillac cts is absolutely amazing. Ideal Auto showed that they are a company that can be trusted and that they are about quality work and efficiency. I will be taking all my cars to ideal going forward, and I will refer all my colleagues to Ideal Auto. Happy New Years, Guys.
Sadly our truck was in an accident near Bosch in Anderson. Our insurance called this company to tow our vehicle to Caliber Collision in Anderson. We just received the bill for over $700 for the tow. This was for “special equipment “ (see photo) and for 22 miles. In addition, when it arrived all our belongings were missing. Though I do not know how our belongings became missing we do know our truck was dropped off at Caliber Collision without any notification to the business. Would not recommend this company for anything!!
The owner had amazing customer service and helped me a lot as I had just recovered my stolen vehicle and had it towed here. He went above and beyond to help me tow it to my house and backed it into a super difficult area that other tow yards had not ever been able to tow it to before. Highly recommend him for your towing and automotive needs. Thank you!
We brought our car in ro cooling fan not working. They had the car for 6 days. They said it was this, then that and then called and said we can't fix it. Owner said he changed the fuse, and it was blown and the problem is the ECU and it will cost you 2k. In back of my head I was saying it has to be the fuse, so we got it home opened the 60 watts fuse, and he tried to solder the fuse. I called the dealership where he said he got it and there is no record of any fuse bought with my vin number. I got my soldering kit out and fixed the job in 2 mins.. I ordered a new fuse just for back up. Very disappointed not for them not fixing it, but the inconsistency in their actions and words. I felt like it was crazy long time to misdiagnosis the plb and terrible diagnostic skills.

Ideal Auto Repair towed & repaired my car within 8 hrs., after mechanical failure with car’s AC and hoses as I was traveling from NC& SC to get back home from GA. “Talk about a DIVINE assignment and connection; Oh My GOD!!!” The quality of service, price, and Yep Christian Fellowship was AWESOME!!!! Horrible! When they "fixed" my car they just made it worse. When my car broke down just a few minutes after leaving.... I called back just to ask a question and was told they couldn't keep going back and forth with me. I had only been there twice and I PAID for the "fixing" that was done. How are you a mechanic but you don't got time to do what you do and get money for it??? Lol!! A joke to say the least.
A very shady business. I took my car to get my head gasket replaced. The car drove fine for 2 weeks then everything started breaking. I took the car to another mechanic and I was told Ideal Auto messed something up during the procedure.
They swapped out my Brand New Distributor for my old one saying it was "Bad". The Distributor wasn't even 3 months old.
I had a Brand new starter that I put in and he took it out and replaced it with another starter without my approval. Then told me it was bad and I needed to change it. The car broke down 2 weeks later.
Everytime I took my car to this place it BROKE DOWN within 2 weeks after the work.
Towing is great...Everything else this company offers is shady.

These guys are awesome! They hauled a Corvette for me from Belton to Powdersville yesterday. I was worried about hauling it because it sits so low. They had all the right equipment and handled it very gently. They were reasonably priced and very punctual. I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Zen and Johnny!
After having a very bad experience waiting on the side of the road for an hour for another company , We called Ideal Auto Repair and Zen was there to pick us up in fifteen minutes. The other guy was also going to charge us double what Ideal Auto did. We are very pleased with the work ethic from this company and look forward to working with them on getting our car repaired.
On August 9 we had car trouble on I85 near a Greenville exit. We stopped at a convenience store to ask about a garage near by. We were sent to Ideal Auto Repair on Roe Road. A mechanic took care of the repair immediately and 10 minutes later we were back on the road. I can't say enough good things about the owner and the mechanic that took care of us. My only disappointment is that we don't live closer and have them take care of all of our car needs.
Zen and Johnny are the best! Had two cracks in the transmission and they were able to fix it. They were quick and didn't charge me my first born. Reasonable on their charges. If you need anything done go by and see them or call them! Great folks there!
We were very pleased with the quality of service here. The issue we had involved considerable diagnosis and was a bit time consuming. We chose Ideal because it had good reviews online and was on my commute to work. Very quick service and had our first car repaired within one day! Prices are very reasonable. We took our second car there because it was overheating and the heat wasn't working. They replaced the water pump and the car overheated the very next day. Took it back and they said the fan also needed replaced and replaced it at cost. Said they had initially not checked the fan because they were looking for leaks and didn't check the fan. Heat still doesn't work, but will try another shop next time.
I bought a used car that began running hot within a week, twice in one month and the place I bought it from (Good Cars Auto Sales, also in Greenville) insisted they had fixed it each time I took it back. After the 3rd time, my son recommended Ideal Auto Repair and literally within 40 minutes after having it towed to them, Ideal had located the real problem and lo and behold they ACTUALLY fixed it. I was so relieved, and especially relieved that it made the 2 1/2 hrs trip to my home with NO PROBLEMS overheating. Much thanks to a nice and skilled staff!

I bought a car from them and they fixed everything that was wrong with the car before they sold it to me. Zen is a honest person! They do really good work and know what they are doing. Zen is a man of his word! I totally trust them and would recommend them.
While traveling through SC on I-85 my car suddenly lost power and would not go in to any gear. I had the car towed to Ideal thinking that the transmission was shot on my 2002 Ford Escape. The folks at Ideal said they would take a look at it and let me know. This was a Saturday at 11 AM and by 5 PM my car was fixed - a front axle had fallen apart - and the guys at Ideal had it fixed and on my way for a very, very fair price. Being from out of state, they could have told me anything. But they were very honest and I would recommend them highly.
