Just left to get a muffler delete done and they tried charging me 300 dollars and claimed that was with a 100 dollar discount. Rick was very rude and mad that I said I didn’t want the service he had an attitude immediately. I called dons exhaust in hartsville and he told me it only costs 120$ for my car and he has a five star rating. Rick doesn’t know that I have a TikTok with over 200k followers and 50 million views so I will share my experience with the entire Carolina area. That guy needs to be fired he is so rude and unprofessional. U can’t get mad that a person doesn’t want to get scammed my guy. Stay away everyone!! Today was a test Rick and you failed buddy
The new manager Rick and the front desk staff are amazing. Rick is super friendly, high energy and jumped right on getting my brake issue resolved. He met me at my vehicle as soon as I pulled into the lot. Been here multiple times over the years and the staff have always been amazing even when there were issues getting the repairs done. It’s not always an easy fix but the customer service keeps bringing me back.
Midas is the Worse repair shop that I've ever took my vichicle too‼ Midas said their Mechanic did a diagnostic check on my vichicle and found the problem. But, my Engine light went off and was back in within two days . Midas told me to bring my vichicle back to be reexqmined. I was given an appointment, but Midas 's Tech. told me that they were behind in their work for other customers. Midas advised me to reschedule, and come in the next day . I did that, and thier Tech. Then told me that thier could be bigger issues with my vichicle. And he'd need to do a more advanced diagnostic test ‼. And if need to pay Midas a $229.00 diagnostic check, before they could find the exact problem ‼. My question was ⁉Why didn't you give me the correct problem at first ⁉ And why did you repair something that wasn't the exact problem ⁉I got a Printout from Midas of what thier Tech. thought the problems could be ⁉ l wouldn't referr my Worse enemy to Midas of Florence SC.
Highest price around for exhaust work. Brought my banks aftermarket exhaust to them to install and they wanted $718 to install. I ended up installing it myself in 45 minutes crawling on the ground.
I called before I went by and Parker was so pleasant on the phone. When I arrived she was so very nice with great customer service! I enjoyed my experience!
Please dont make the same mistake as I did. I bought my car in a/c was working fine. When I left my expansion valve was not. No accountability with acting store manager. Mechanic told me that he was willing to eat it but acting manager said no. This is a fake generated A.I. response from owner. Please don't buy into like they genuinely care...
My experience was horrific. I was told to bring my vehicle in @ 8 am and I was there, 7 hours later they didn't even start on my vehicle and when I questioned them about it the assistant manager Spencer got really nasty and irate with me. I advise no one to patronize Midas on palmetto cause there customer service is lousy!!!!
This was my first time coming to the Midas in Florence. I came in for two tires for my boat trailer. Had a customer wanting to go on the water. Lady at counter was very nice, but the manager acted like I was talking out both sides of my mouth. Tire size 20.5-8-10 was told that the size was wrong so I took a picture brought it back to the manager, I believe the guys name was Rick to show him, and was told sir I’m not arguing with you take your business elsewhere. I did I went to Firestone right down the road. Was greeted gave tire size and they said sir we will have you out in 30-40 minutes. While doing the tires adviser showed and asked me if I have ever changed the wheel bearings on trailer and I hadn’t before. Gave a price and got that done as well. Will not be coming back to Midas location. And I have 3 more cars that need service. Doesn’t always pay to get think your business is the best around. Florence is a small town and others will take great care of your vehicles.
Midas in Florence should be ashamed. I got an oil change and they suggested a tune up. Ok, did that end of April and ive had a check engine light come on a few days later. However ever time I tried to get it to them the light would be off. So today my 2019 Jeep Cherokee with 90k overheated. Turns out I have no anti freeze. I know they did not put wiper fluid in it so did they also forget coolant? They they said my catalytic converters are bad and told me to find an engine shop as they will no longer work on my car. It is under new management.
I always try to give others the benefit of the doubt and second chances. Late last year took my truck to Midas because of an oil leak. Since I had recently ran over a retread on the highway, thought that could be the issue. Was told there was a crack in the oil pan and would need to be replaced for $1600.00. since there was a road incident involved, my IA suggested I have it checked because maybe insurance would pay. Adjuster went out and found no damage to oil pan and a bad o ring on the drain plug only. Lucky for me, otherwise I would have been out of 1600 bucks for a $30 plug. Fast forward 6 months and truck is skipping on idle and a check engine light comes on. Took it to Midas because they could fit me in. Was told just need ignition coils. Then was told it needed a spark plug. Well, neither fixed the issue and was then told I would need a new engine. Coils were never tested or anything, just swapped out. Picked up truck and while it was skipping when I took it, it was all out shaking when I left after paying $1200 for them to diagnose and fix...no diagnosis, just parts changers. Tried on multiple occasions to call back and discuss why we paid so much for it to be worse when I get it back. Assistant Manager said they would call me back on 3 different occasions and never heard back. I understand that it's not their fault with the engine, but to tell me it needs stuff it really doesn't is not right. Will not be going back and will definitely not be recommending them to anyone
Great service during my oil change! Parker was a excellent customer service representative that had a great attitude and actually was good to talk to. Kept me entertained while getting my oil change. They found issues with my SUV (like any other car service company does) and Rick actually took me to my vehicle and showed me visually on each part of my truck everything that was an issue. I loved it because no other company has ever done that for me. With how the world is these days with trying to get over on people (which I have had experiences with other companies telling me I needed something when I actually didn't) I really appreciated this gesture. It also didn't even take that long with an appointment! Definitely will be returning! Outstanding service guys!!
Travis and Spencer was very professional but, if your establishment can't fix or solve an issue why string the customer along? A $700 oil leak , parts and labor only to have the problem unsolved and they kept the vehicle over 3 weeks, problem still unsolved. Took it to another mechanic and he said looks like they didn't do anything and come to find out they created more issues and got the nerves to quote me $2000 quote! I guess that was to get rid of me but no worries! Yes, I felt like I've been cheated and no customer should ever feel that way.
Paid them $275 to add a muffler to my Miata. First time round on the drive home the exhaust was swinging around and bashing into the underneath of the car which split my rear bumper. Let them “fix” their mistake, 2nd time around Spencer assured me their best guy Justin would fix the issue. Next day my exhaust system started to rattle… they welded my exhaust system to the subframe of my Miata. That’s how they fixed their shoddy work.
Instead of fix the fact they missed a hanger. They straight up welded my exhaust to the subframe.
I had AAA tow my car in to Midas when I broke down on a Sunday evening an hour away from the store. I had my car fixed and back to me the very next day. Thank you, Spencer and staff for the excellent service.
Definitely unsatisfied this time, won't be back here again. Quotes me a price then went up 120 dollars and it took three days after the appointment and it wasn't done right. I had high hopes for these people too. Tried to make me believe 120 was for taxes lol. It's ok I just won't be back in the future.
Please tell my why I returned to Midas for information about a tune-up to see if it's time, and what all it will cover just to find out CHRIS BLANCHARD is no longer there!!! I have never visited an auto place of business that I trusted (as a woman) more than I did Chris at Midas. He also would take great care of my 80yr old mother which made things less stressful for me as well. Now I have to find another shop elsewhere to build this kind of trust that the women of our family will NOT be taken advantage of because of just that. To whomever is responsible for this thank you very much!
Travis and Spencer were absolutely fantastic! I recommend this shop to anyone traveling through. We were driving back home from Florida and our check engine light came on. These guys were able to get us in and diagnosis the problem right away. They sat and explained everything and had us back on the road in no time. I can't thank them enough.

I had two cars needing service. Spoke with Chris who had service manager Travis look to make sure we dropped the one that was most serious. Outstanding mechanic shop. They can handle even the strangest requests like I had with my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Dakota was the mechanic who basically rebuilt my entire suspension (every bushing on the car), fixed a steering mistake I made, aligned the Jeep, and went above and beyond with cleaning the area around the new parts and putting rust proofing as he went, just to make it look good and last longer. He took the time to go over everything with me and you could tell he was proud of his work, which he should be. The Jeep now drives like a new vehicle, which is such a strange feeling in a 1999 model. Chris also did a great job at scheduling, estimating (very close to the final cost) and getting me set up with my appointment. I am happy to finally find a reasonably priced and technically capable mechanic shop that can handle almost any auto repair. Lastly, when I first came in, Dakota actually stopped me from wasting money on an alignment before I had some other thing fixed, so I wouldn’t have to pay twice. That’s who you want for a mechanic shop.
I really enjoyed my service at Midas. I showed up without an appointment. Spencer and Chris did an amazing job getting my car in for new tires, alignment, and oil change. They inspected my car to ensure I didn’t need anything else. They were very honest and didn’t try to sell me services I didn’t need. The customer service was excellent. They were very polite and professional. They explained everything in depth. I will continue to use them in the future.
Very good service and Zach is so helpful and does really quality work. He created a custom exhaust for my truck and it is very very well done. Would definitely come back.
