This company is an absolute mess, they steal from everyone’s vehicles apparently and nothing seems to be done about it. I’m hoping I’m not the only who actually filed a lawsuit so we can get some justice. This is inhumane and incredibly disheartening. Repossed my vehicle for Title max and stil my firearms and other belongings. I know for a fact it was this company. Idiots didn’t know I had hidden camera in my vehicle.
As a lender, we use AAR for all our southern recovery needs. So far they have provided same day turnaround. Wendy is a Rockstar and makes sure the job gets done right. They do a full inspection on the asset with detailed time and location stamped photos. They also treat our customers with respect during the unfortunate situation. Thanks again to Wendy and staff.
I went in with such a positive attitude this morning and was met with immediate ATTITUDE from everyone by just asking questions.. from the young Caucasian girl that was sitting by the door doing nothing to the African American woman (they called her MiMi) she directed me to whom actually helped me to the other African American woman (they called her Jess) who was sitting next to her and kept telling MiMi to “calm down and don’t do it..” unsure what she meant by that (insert laughter) because eye contact was maintained for awhile and didn’t really see much smoke coming my way… but anywhooo… I just wanted my belongings and be on my way. There was no need for all the extra but I’m a firm believer in be careful how you treat people because you never know who someone is or what they are capable of. I met petty with petty this morning and I’ll ask forgiveness for that in my own time. I Hope I’ll be remembered…but just a little advice the next person just may come in and change your life. Be careful how you treat people. You’re up today but could be done tomorrow and you’ll never know where your helping hand may come. Pray All of You Be Blessed!
These people towed my truck illegally, stole my belongings, and told me they threw my stuff away. I tried to get my things and they said we'll call you back and never did. I hope this review diminishes this company now I gotta replace my passport, license, my daughter's insurance cards and bank cards. I escalated it to upper management and they investigated the situation with no results.
These people are bogus. They charge you $75 admin fee to get your belongings from them. They don't answer the phone 70% of the time and they don't call back. They will rob you blind. You mind as well lawyer up dealing with these people. Ghetto and unreal. Take how you feel. Have a lawyer.
This company is definitely bogus. They give you the run around about your own belongings. They won't allow my husband and I to retrieve our belongings after they said we could. They also claimed they would call us back but then when we were called back they said they don't usually call no one back. Watch your back and be lawyer ready to deal with this bootleg company. I have contacted BBB.

This place is full of the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Threw all my belongings in a contractor bag together...$3k worth of camera equipment along with shoes covered in floor leveler and all my kayak gear covered in sand. I certainly did not appreciate that. Oddly enough, removed items but left my wallet, which holds my social security card and credit cards, in vehicle.

This company doesn’t deserve to be in business. Not only did they steal my property from my vehicle, costing over $100; but they completely damaged my car. I can not even drive the vehicle and they are not taking ownership for their mistake. They claim to not have the video of my car being towed, and that’s only WHEN THEY ACTUALLY SPEAK TO YOU. I’ve called and emailed numerous times but when they finally answer, they always tell me they’ll “call me back”, which they never do. I have mechanics statements proving that my car was damaged by a tow truck, there’s scuff marks from where they did not hitch it properly. The tow truck driver didn’t even put my car in drive or neutral when towing it down a major highway because my car was locked and they did not even come to my door to get the keys.These people should not be in business and need to be shut down. It seems like all their reviews are about them being thieves and destroying peoples vehicles.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They came in the middle of the night to take a voluntary repression. They took my sons car seat and are charging me $50 to get it back (which is illegal, they are not allowed to hold/sell any personal belongings). I voluntarily gave the vehicle back, and was expecting a call to when it would be picked up, never imagined them coming in the middle of the night to sneak onto my residence and steal my personal belongings. Horrible unprofessional company! Would not recommend
This company is just so awful and need to train they Workers to be professional. They hold time is long, most of the time they hang up on you after waited for someone is sad. They let they employee go home at 10 am due to system being down can not get my car today, they not open on the weekend but towed my car on Saturday morning. They need to be Out of Business. So many people complain about they service and they not getting better is the sad part.
The business opens at 9am. I called at 9am to be placed on hold for an entire hour just for the associate to come to the phone and could not hear me and eventually she hung up. Calling back…. ANOTHER HOUR OF HOLDING I have better things to do with my life than to hold onto a phone.
When they came and got my car the could have just knocked on the door and got the 2 keys that belongs to the car instead of. DRAGGING in out the yard and at that time I could have retrieved my belongings!!!!!! Now the entire steering system has to be replaced
If I could give zero stars, I most definitely would. This company towed my car on an error and won’t return it until I or the company I lease my car from pay the towing fee. Not to mention the cowards took it at a Walmart while I was grocery shopping with my kids. Absolutely disgusting people. Better communication is needed.
This company illegally towed my Motorhome that was in a parking lot with no tow away signs in less than 24 hours. I have recorded the conversation that I was involved in with this company. I told them that they directly violated the law and they still would not release. A manager also stated I was wrong even after I showed them the laws. I will be filing a lawsuit, if this is not corrected. An employee was upset about me challenging the legality of the tow and stated that she saw my vehicle parked there and continued on to defend the tow. It struck me almost as if this was a predatory tow and that this employee was involved in getting my motorhome towed.
Not military friendly at all. Towed a vehicle left over night in the recruiting station parking lot due to processing with the military. Towed the vehicle without signs posted at any entrances or in parking lot. there was no warning of parking limits such as where to and not park. No notice of a tow agency starting to patrol. After voicing opinion, signs appeared next day posted everywhere. If I could leave negative stars I would. taking advantage of people is not acceptable
So the guy came by today, not knowing North Carolina law. Hope he enjoys his trip back to Florence empty handed. He sat out front for a while and then decided to pull back into the enclosed driveway. I met him there, told him to leave and that another South Carolina crew tried to get it by breaking in to my garage. They were almost shot, and arrested. He told me that he'd find it. I told him, I promise you won't! No GPS! Do your job legally, or face consequences tough guy!
Okay. I'm doing this because NOTHING has been resolved and I'm sick of it. I was in my car at 5:15am, getting ready to leave for work. My lights were on, in and out, and my heat was on, so obviously you can see it and see it is on with a person inside. As I put my car in reverse, this driver hooks my car. I thought I accidentally collided with a neighbor's truck, so I threw it in drive. When I realized it was a tow truck, I put it in park and opened my door.
This "driver" hooked my car, with me in it! Not only did he hook it, he started raising it, with me still in it! And I know he didn't check my vin, because a parking garage ticket is blocking it. I did this because some lady and older guy (who I saw AT the North Charleston location of this "business") constantly creeping around my car the few days leading up to this at my job. I thought they were crack heads and thieves scoping out cars, since I work at a hotel. No! It's one of the drivers and ladies that work in the office.
I get out of my car, with it still on, and ask him why he's towing me. He gives me this whole schpeal and I told him, I already paid the behind $130 the day before. I even graced him with why ($16,000 unexpected medical bill) AND showed him the payment, and told him he could not take my car. Says he still has to tow it and will call the cops. I go and sit back in my car to wait for the police. HE CONTINUED TO RAISE IT ONTO THE TRUCK, WITH ME IN IT!!! I literally had to jump from my car to get to the ground.
I go around to look, he's dented and scratched my bumper. Says I have to take it up with the corporate office in Florence (YOUR worthless office). I asked for a number and he gives me three, 2 of which are on the truck. Because I didn't trust him, I took a picture of the side of the truck. I have to get to work, and he says I can get it that day, but I have to pay $50. Or I could just give him $50 right now. I called an Uber and went to work. I call their office at 9am. Nothing. Call at 9:30. Nothing. This is all 3 numbers. Finally got in touch with some rude lady (who I found out when I went there, was the lady creeping around my car), who says I have to make an appointment to pick my car up, but all of the slots were filled that day and that the next day only have times to pick up valuables in the vehicle. Told her I was getting my whole car. Hung up on me. I call back, and the office is magically closed. At 2pm! On a Wednesday. Same with "corporate."
Get in touch on Thursday afternoon with the Florence office. I explained I was looking to get to the North Charleston location. She said her systems linked with that one. We set a pickup appointment for 1pm Friday. I get there at 12:30 and they're closed. Called both offices multiple times before finally getting ahold of someone at the Florence office. Tells me all locations are closed as "everyone is in Florence for training, and since all offices are closed on the weekend, [I] would have to wait until Monday to retrieve [my] vehicle." I told her I made an appointment with someone to get my car, and she says, "Well, that was dumb since the offices are closed. Call back Monday." And hung up on me. I call back and get ANOTHER automated message.
FINALLY get there on Monday to get my car, they took 3 hours to "locate" it. The lot is not that big. I saw it. It was straight ahead, 18th car on the right. They tow it to the gate, and MY TIRE WAS COMPLETELY SHREDDED. I mean, like someone ran over blades with it. Those were all BRAND NEW tires that I got two weeks before. Says it "came in that way." No it did not! They take all my money and tell me to file a complaint. My tow driver that Geico sent told me that this company was full of unlawful thieves. They steal possessions from cars, as well as being known for illegally repossessing vehicles, and take cars for joy rides. I drive a Kia Soul. It's not a joy ride car.

On 2/2/2019 my family and I were at the Florence Civic center, @ monster jam and yes we were having problems keeping up with our payments on our car, for medical reasons. So when we came out and saw our car loaded on one of your tow trucks, let’s just say I was upset!!! Not at your driver or your company, just that I live 2 hours away!! I don’t remember your drivers name, but I wanted you to know that he was amazing!!! He was kind and spoke with us, ( didn’t act like we were scum since he was repoing my car) and he explained things!!! My 6 year old was upset and crying! He was so nice and sweet to him and calmed him down!!! I work for a towing company, and I know the drivers work harder then most!!! So I wanted to make sure I mentioned this and I hope that maybe u can look back and see who this driver was!!! Cause he needs a raise, a bonus, or something !! Because he is a big asset to your company!!!
Illegally removed my car from a private residential area after midnight. They cruise around all the time after dark looking at random cars. Have false number on their vehicles that you cant reach them at. Refused to tell me where my car was when i called them. Never showed me paperwork for the towing and they claimed to have knocked on my door. A infants knock would have been louder. Asked if he had permission to be on this private property, he replied he doesnt need any authority. Even refused to let me get my tag. Will be starting a lawsuit against them.
On September 24, 2017 Associate Asset Recovery had my neighbor's car towed. They were not able to tow it from my neighbor's yard so they took it upon themselves to tow the car through my yard without my permission, causing damage to my lawn. When I found the company and explained to them what happened they promised me on several occasions that they would send someone out to view the damages, but did not follow through. I even emailed them pictures and sent over a quote that I got from a landscaping company of what the cost would be to repair the damages. After constantly calling and emailing, on October 13th, almost 3 weeks later, the company had a guy who was driving a tow truck (which indicated that it was highly likely that he was NOT a professional landscaper) to come out to look at my lawn. He put down some grass seed and left. He didn't talk to me after finishing the job to explain what he had done. I am unhappy that they took forever to send someone out. Also, they totally disregarded my assessment from a professional. Instead they decide how my lawn should be repaired! I spoke with someone from their company the following week after the guy came out. She said, "well we will see how your grass turns out this spring." I expressed to her my level of disappointment about how the situations was handled. I was told that I would get a phone call back and never did. The matter in which they have handled this situation has been HORRIBLE!
They went to take a car from my neighbors house whom they followed around town and the woman in a black camera car drove through my yard to block the guy in. Then she preceded to lie to the cops and tell them she didn't drive through my yard. Refused to give their names and of course the complaint department hasn't called me back like they said they would. Oh and the male recovery lied to the police as well tried too accuse my friend of pulling a pistol in him. Watch out for this company they are very unprofessional and liars! I would give them a negative rating but it is not an option. Plus the recovery agent tried telling the owner that he would get fired if he did not get the car!!!
This company is very unprofessional and has not fixed my property. The driver was told truck was 4 wheel, he damaged my truck Stability System and traction dents in back chip paint from my truck hitting something he also broke one of my pipe to my muffler. Just insane, CS and owner was rude has not tried to resolve issues or contact me back. I was told they would be contacting me back they have not. They also broke and removed things from my glove compartment I assume to steal something. These people are crooks and thieves.
Very unprofessional. Was illegally towed. Then when I tried to contact the company, The man that picks up the phone was rude and was not trying to listen to what I had to say. He told me that a dispatch should be contacting me. It has been 2 days, my family is from Georgia and we re in the middle of nowhere In South Carolina and just want to go home. So I called the number back to see why I still haven't heard anything from dispatcher. He bluntly said to me if I keep calling him he will keep my car for another 3 days. I have never been treated in this manner before. I will definitely report their Unprofessionalism to everyone that I can. I won't stop until everyone of importance knows how disrespected I was in this situation.
