He was able to come out and grab my lifted truck off the side of the interstate and take it back to my shop over 45 mins away a really outstanding guy with great customer service with great pricing I will for sure be calling him again if I have any problems!!!
This towing company saved my life essentially. After paying AAA yearly and expecting it to be for a situation just like this, my car broke down on the side of the highway in a not so bright or populated area, AAA for an hr said they would update me on their arrival, then after an hr they suggested i sleep in my car and wait until 6:30AM for someone to come get me. It was 7pm when i first reached out & my car was completely dead on the side of the highway with no lights and no way for anyone to see me. I started calling emergency tow services and the first one i called told me they wouldnt tow my car as far as I needed (55 mi). I was starting to really panic and thank GOD i called this number. They came and got me promptly , dropped my car all the way off in fort mill , and were so kind and compassionate through the entire ordeal. I wish I could give them more stars and steal any stars AAA has ever gotten and give it to Capt's. Very reasonably priced for the situation and without them I would probably be on the side of the road still waiting for AAA.
Our truck got stuck in a really bad spot and thank god this is who we called. Tavaris showed up promptly (on a Saturday no less) and worked so hard to help us get out on our own before his tow guy showed up. His buddy quickly pulled us out and we were on our way! We would have paid anything to get out of that situation and they didn’t take advantage and charged us an extremely reasonable price. You hope to never be in the situation, but if you are, this is who you need to call!!!!
Excellent service! They towed my car about 40 miles home in the middle of the night after having engine trouble in the middle of nowhere when no one else would come, including AAA. I waited for hours to get a tow from AAA. We decided to give them a shot and as soon as we called them they showed up fast and got us home. Real life savers, would highly recommend!
After many failed attempts with roadside assistance this past Saturday with my insurance company, we decided to outsource and reached out to Capt's Towing. Capt's towing timliness is second to none, arriving within 15-20 mins of our request. Extremely professional and worked deligently, even in the pouring rain. I appreciate Capt's Towing and highly recommend them. Services ARE beyond expectations!

Received a phone call from our 20 year old son, who was driving home to NC for the weekend, from where he lives at in SC, around 9 PM.
His car had electrical issues which forced him to an offramp on I-77 North, around Winnsboro SC (about 30 miles north of Columbia).
Apparently AAA (he's been a member since he started driving) would not send a tow truck to him until the following day. I called AAA myself because I could not believe that they would let a member of theirs on the side of the road at 9PM and not be able to get a tow truck to them until 12 hours later (I wasn't told it would be 3-4 hours, but more like 12 hours). That is another story...
So, we told our son to sit tight and we would help. I assumed to look at larger tow truck companies around Columbia, believing they would be more reliable (they would have a 30 mile drive north, then backtrack and travel another 30 miles west of Columbia for a 120 mile round trip). Called two companies, neither of whom could make the trip for whatever reason.
Decided to look locally in Winnsboro online and came across Capt's towing.
Called Capt's towing (now at 9:30 PM) and Tavaris Brown picked up the phone. Explained the situation to Tavaris, he knew the area where our son was broken down at, looked at where he had to take him, and Tavaris said he would get it done.
The reality is this owner operator left his own family at 9:30 at night (he had to apologize for his kids kind of getting loud over the phone which I was more familiar with 15 years ago LOL), he picked up our son and car, drove him back to a mechanics shop over 60 miles away in an opposite direction, and then dropped him off at his residence, speaks volumes about what kind of business owner and person Tavaris Brown is.
Our son called us around 11:15 PM that same night telling us he got back to his residence safely, which means Tavaris didn't get back to his own family until well after midnight.
I would give Tavaris 10 stars if possible.
Please note, Tavaris told me up front talking to him over the phone what it would cost, but he would work with me. He did, and after looking online what the national average to tow a car, I felt that he was more than fair. The reality is he picked up the phone on a Friday night 9:30 PM "out of the blue", had to drive 120 miles round trip on that same Friday night, and the fact is the truck he drives requires maintenance and fuel along with his own time.
I honestly hope never to be broken down on the side of the road in SC, but if I'm anywhere around Columbia and he (Tavaris) knows a good local mechanic, he will always be my first call.
That is known as customer service and earning repeat business.
My son fell asleep and destroyed his car in a one-car accident on I-77, in the wee hours of a Saturday morning. And Capt's tow team beat the highway patrolman there by a good bit. They were very comforting, encouraging and professional. They advised that, legally, we must not (and THEY would not) move the car before the patrolman arrived. Even though their "graveyard" shift was nearly over, they were patient and courteous throughout. BTW, the patrolman was, similarly, exceptionally professional.
Capt came late on a Saturday night and picked us up on the side of I-77. Got our car safely to Augusta GA 2 hours away. He was very professional and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend them.

I needed a car hauled from my home to a dealership 70 miles away. I called Capt’s towing and he gave me an arrival time. He was on time, great customer service and was willing to bring me back home but I had already made other arrangements. This is old school Customer Service, willing to do whatever it takes to help the customer, you can see that from the other reviews. First class.
Excellent service. I had a tractor buried up to the axels in mud. Not your normal tow service. His team of five guys spent 3 hours to get it recovered. They were not going to quit until the job was done. Great team.
They pulled me out of the mud in pouring rain after two other companies refused to come out in bad weather. Both gentlemen were incredibly kind and helpful. Price was reasonable too!

Needed service very early in the morning, and they arrived in a timely manner and took us to a repair shop and then dropped us at a hotel for the night as well. All while being very fairly priced. Would recommend 10/10
I used Capt's because my car broke down on the Highway.He went above and beyond what needed to be done.He sat with me for hours trying to figure out how to get me a tire so I could get where I was going.When he couldn't find a tire he drove me 45 minutes out of his way so I wan't stranded.Thank you Capt's,there are still good caring people in the world.

This company came in the length of time they said it would. We waited for over an hour for our insurance company and they came in 30mins with a full team to get the job done. They even followed us to get air in the spare tire. The pricing was even fair and the customer service was even great. They love what they do not just about the money.
