Just wanted to share our experience with this locally owned business. My wife and I were headed to the Charleston VA it was late and I saw a Audi that was on the lot. I met the owner as it was closing time and I told him I would be back to talk numbers.
My wife and I came back the next day and spoke with Mrs Ross and everything went well from there. From her introduction to the filing of the final paperwork and temporary tags she was on point from day one. The business model they have is brutally honest and cars in really good shape.
So if your in the market for a good used vehicle contact Mrs Ross at this location. Customer service and organization was through the roof.

RUN DONT WALK RUN AWAYYYY FROM THE PLACE!! Please if you need a car this is a last resort. I bought a car in January of this year and 2 days later my engine light came on. I had a mechanic look at it and I was took my head gasket had blown and they found stop leak (used for when you have a head gasket that’s blow that helps you get from POINT A TO B) in my car and he had to flush it out. ALSO MY TAGS TOOK OVER 2 MONTHS AND MY TITLE TOOK 3 TO COME IN THE MAIL. If I could give them 0 stars I could. Thank god I only have to pay a lil over 2000 to get a new engine put in my car. Please do not get a car from here unless you’re willing to spend thousands of dollars to get your car fix. Also they are setting back odometers atleast 30,000 miles…. There’s an Audi on there lot that’s around 170k miles and when I pulled the public record the last update mileage was 200k and also my car had 127k on the lot but when I tried to do an appraisal for my car I was told my last accurate odometer was around 150k miles!! This place needs to be shut down. They are sneaky and know exactly what they’re doing !!
Went today knowing I would leave with a car and that’s just what I did! Sale women Britney got me right in the door and into my brand new car ? so grateful she was honest, patient and so nice and sweet go shop with BuyAuctionCars but make sure you ask for Britney!
Sold me a Honda Accord.
Accord ran fine.
A week later engine ticking noise.
Timing belt tensioner was destroyed.
Took almost 2 months to get my title.
Accord now needs new engine.
Moral of the story they'll scam the crap out of you.

Word of advice take any of these cars to a mechanic first and have it looked over thoroughly! Because I have gotten 2 vehicles from them and the day after we drove them off the lot they broke down. One failed a compression test ( needs engine) and the other one has metal in the engine!!! ( also needs engine)
Do NOT recommend buying from them!!!

I updated my review from 1 star to 4. It would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the inconvenience. The vehicle is great, 2000 Buick Century with less than 100k miles. Old but good car for work.
Issues I had was with getting my tag, title and registration within 45 days but it was resolved and hopefully it was just a one time for me. I can't speak for the other people's reviews with related issues, I don't know their situation.
On November 26th we purchased a Jeep Patriot from Buy Auction Cars. They claimed to have sent the title paperwork to the DMV during multiple calls in December. They finally provided a tracking number that the title paperwork had been mailed along with six other sales title paperwork on January 3rd. They stated that this is “the first time she has heard of this issue” (despite Google reviews to the contrary). Calls now go unanswered and unreturned. Different excuses are given at every turn, now they are blaming the Post Office instead of fixing the issue. It is now late February and we still have no title in hand and this saga has no end in sight. I would give zero stars if that was an option.
DO NOT PURCHASE CARS FROM AND IF YOU DO, RESEARCH THE VIN NUMBER TO BE SURE THAT THEY ARE NOT SELLING YOU A CAR WITH A SALVAGE TITLE!
It has been since October that I purchased my car and I recently got pulled over for an expired temp title due to them not sending over proper documentation for me to receive my official tag. It is ridiculous of how long this process is taking. If I could give ZERO stars I would! I have been given the run around since DECEMBER about what’s going on with this situation. Take my experience and make sure to be tough with them, because they will lie to you.

When this dealership says "AS IS" they literally mean it! Even if the car breaks down as you pull out of the lot!
We purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (1 owner) just shy of 2 weeks ago and the engine blew after 2 drives, less than 75 miles.
Yes, the sales people are very friendly but "friendly" does not get you on the road.
This review is more about the lack of care for the community that this business relies upon to make money. This small town holds a lot of citizens, mixed incomes but none the less most are hard working, low to mid income citizens that HAVE to make their money go as far as they can and it is (sadly) businesses such as this one that prey on those folks.
The vehicle came straight home from the dealership the evening of purchase (a Tuesday) and did not leave the property until the following Saturday for some errands- on the way back the car ran hot & had to be left on the side of the road. Going back to the vehicle later that same evening to check the fluids- no water nor oil was needed... started the vehicle, a loud knocking started and the vehicle had to be left overnight on the side of highway 17.
The following Monday I called the dealership, spoke to Miss Ross and she couldn't have been more friendly but she said that she would have to speak with the owner & call me back that afternoon. Come about 5pm I had not heard anything back so I called, spoke with Miss Ross again to which she let me know that she spoke with the owner who said that there was nothing that could be done.
I cannot take away from Miss Ross, she was very patient in listening to the frustrations that we had and how we felt about the owner not caring about what leaves the lot. I let her know that I had a mechanic look at it, and he found "stop leak" solution in the engine/motor which is used when you have a blown head gasket & need to get it from point A to point B.
This shows a known issue, one that was covered up to literally just "get it off the lot".
I had a second MASTER mechanic look at it once we had to pay to have the vehicle towed to the house and he ran the computer test- 19 recalls (which are so old you can't do anything about them), no coolant, anti-freeze in places that it should never be and the engine was blown. He went beyond that and called the owner of the local Jeep dealer to see if there was anything that could be done to at least get the car up & running- the owner of the Jeep dealership said "do not sink another dime into this vehicle".
The first mechanic came back to me to say that he could try to find an engine from a junk yard but that for the engine & labor we could be looking at anywhere between $8-11k to complete that portion and that this would not include any other issues that would be found- because there were going to more issues to follow. Given that we purchased the vehicle for $6k, putting another $11k into an unknown is simply not what working class people are able to do.
I am writing this review in hopes to deter anyone in trusting this dealership, as well to deter others from buying auction cars without having a mechanic look at them thoroughly. DO NOT have a mechanic friend come with you to just "once over" the car you like but should actually take them to a shop & pay a mechanic to do a front to back service inspection.
Does that sound like a lot of work & additional monies when you simply are trying to purchase a ride to get you to work & back, to get your kids to school and to get groceries? Of course it does, and this dealership (and others like it) are counting on. They are counting on the low- mid income citizens to not have the means nor the time to handle a vehicle purchase in this manner. They are counting on the potential buyers that do not have the means to make a $400 plus used car payment & certainly are counting on the potential buyers that do not have the credit to finance a certified used car or a new car off the lot. That covers most of low- mid income people in this community. BEWARE!
I stopped in to inquire about trading in my car. Jason and Rothie were so helpful, as well as one of the mechanics i believe, i never got his namell. I may have chosen not to trade my car in, but they definitely made me feel comfortable with everything and made me want to come back and get a car once mine sells. Thank u so much for everything! You guys are amazing.
