When I picked up my car, the work was flawless. You’d never know there had been any damage. My husband grew up working in his family’s very successful auto body shop, so he has very high standards but has been disappointed in other local body shops. My car was towed during the St Joseph’s festival on Fed Hill and state towing made it a seamless process to get my car. They didn’t drain my pockets with the cost to get it out and upon bonding my car out of jail, I discovered that my exhaust had come off as a result of it being towed. I called, they had me come on and took care of the problem right away with no issues. The owner is so nice and polite and made sure that I left with my car back in tact. Everybody hates getting their car towed so to have a tow company make it a little easier of a process was a relief.
High Praise for State Auto Body. Not only did they do a great job on my car, but their customer service is way above and beyond. Steve and Mario were responsive, courteous, and very easy to deal with. When I was unable to pick up my car after it was finished, Mario offered to drop it off at my house. This was only of the ways they went out of their way to deliver great customer service. I will use their services again if I ever need body work, and I recommend them without hesitation.
NOT pre-accident condition! FIND A FACTORY AUTHORIZED SHOP INSTEAD! Poorly aligned panel. Panel bolts rusting, unlike the untouched bolts. How much effort would it take to align the panel and coat the panel bolts??? Also they didn’t step me through the gotchas and warn me about getting rental authorization with the insurance company. Or maybe they could have handled that since I contacted them 2 weeks prior to drop off. Instead, I went a day in the middle without a rental because I had gone over the customary 4 days rental. Also I think they were trying to be nice by armor-alling the interior, but they left dark smudges on both A pillars, which are light fabric, and I would have told them no-thanks had they bothered to ask me for permission first! Also the new panel paint started bubbling. PEOPLE PLEASE STOP HANDING OUT 5 STAR REVIEWS TO EVERYONE AS THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I CHOSE THIS SHOP!

Last week I saw that a panel on the passenger side fender of my Honda Civic had popped out. I looked up body shops at the weekend and saw that State Auto Body, in my neighborhood, had very good reviews. I didn't look any further because both reviews and proximity were great. I could have sent pictures and got an estimate but I made an appointment instead. I like to see who I'm dealing with. I was able to get an appointment at a suitable time easily and went this morning. I had a slight bit of trouble finding the place and wasn't sure I had the right entrance. But all was well. Mario in the front office assured me and I took a seat. It was fairly early in the morning and there was no-one else waiting. The office and waiting area are neat, cheerful, well-looked after. I got a good impression. I also heard Mario on the phone following up on an issue for a customer; he handled the call with noticeable politeness, courtesy, and thoroughness. Again, I was impressed. Steve came to help me and we walked out to the car. He assessed the situation and actually just pressed the panel back into place. I had been thinking of doing something similar in my driveway with a mallet and towel but didn't want to risk further damage. Steve assured me that the panel was secure and, in answer to my question, said that the problem was probably caused by a slight impact to the rear putting pressure on the panel, either from another vehicle or when backing up. I was very happy to have such a clean and quick solution, with no charge, and asked what I could do. Steve said maybe write a Google review. So here I am. What can I say? I'm impressed!!! Thank you Steve, Mario, and State Auto Body! Forgive the song-and-dance report! I'm glad to recommend!

Had a great experience overall with getting a broken side mirror fixed. I was able to book an appointment very quickly despite my busy work schedule, and luckily they were able to fix the mirror that day! Wow! Where do I begin in this review? Well, I am writing this review not even 10 minutes since I've picked up my car. As you can see in the pics, I swiped my passenger side quarter panel on a pillar leading into my apartment garage. Very unfortunate situation -- I began researching auto body shops the same evening it happened. How fortunate am I to live walking distance from State Auto Body. With COVID going on, I was able to upload photos of the damage directly to the auto body shop, Steve called me about noon that same day and asked me if I was available to bring the car in. Everything was extremely smooth and it helped to keep my anxiety down about what had happened.
Steve and Mario were extremely helpful throughout the entire process from helping me through submitting the claim to insurance to getting my rental car set up. Steve knows all about customer experiences and customer service; he's all about the customer and their happiness. As you can see, my car is back like she never left....dare I say looking better than before the damages lol. But they were speedy and kept me updated as often as I requested.

Steve, Mario, and the technicians at State Auto Body are some of the best in the business. I brought my Subaru Legacy GT in for repairs after an accident because they are one of the only independent auto body shops certified by Subaru in Rhode Island. Steve and Mario made sure that the adjuster accounted for genuine OEM parts for my repairs and did a great job keeping me in the loop as to what was going on. If you have a Subaru, Honda, Acura, or anything else in need of repairs definitely give State a call, they'll make sure it's fixed right the first time.
Excellent customer service. A picture worth a 1,000 words. And these pictures speak of the before and after work that they did in my car. They also left my car super clean and it smelled like new. I am very satisfied with their service.
I came in just to get a quote on the damage done to my vehicle. I had a dent in my fender which also prevented me from opening my drivers side door. The AMAZING owner (I believe) took his time to hear me out and came outside to look at my car. He asked me if he try to fix the dent as much as he could so I could at least in my car from the drivers side. He drove it into the shop and almost fixed the dent completely! I am so grateful that he helped me and at NO COST! He was kind and truthful about the quote and gave me helpful advice (since I asked him for it!) If anything else happens to my car, I will definitely bring it here!
