Brought my car in a few days ago and had a genuinely good experience. The staff was friendly, straightforward, and quick to look over my vehicle. They explained what needed to be done clearly and didn’t try to upsell or pressure me into unnecessary work.
Unfortunately, the repairs ended up being more expensive than I could take on right now, so I had to decline further work. That said, I left feeling like they were honest about the services and pricing, which I really respect.
Even though I didn’t move forward this time, this is absolutely a shop I’d consider bringing future cars to. Professional, transparent, and easy to work with.

My daughter needed snow tires for this year Wellsboro Automotive recommended a reliable tire for her car per my request the also did an oil change, an alignment and checked her car over to make sure everything was ok. They called me to keep me informed of what also was needed cost and time to complete the repairs. She is now ready for Tioga County weather.
Excellent customer service. I was very surprised that this business will come to your home to personality pick up our vehicle and return it! That's quite a welcome service as we get older! I would think others would value this added service. I was very satisfied with the price on thd 4 tires. I did check other sites and this business is very competitive. I sent vehicle in for oil change and a check on drive train. The tech noticed unusual brake wear. Gave them authorization to fix, to find out it was under warranty. I like that I can have them pick vehicle up and do what is needed while I'm at work, and have it back when I'm done with my shift. Great job!
I had a completely depleted AC system after having a line that had a hole in it replaced [at a different mechanic]. I just needed the refrigerant to be filled up. The staff at W.A. were all very friendly & accommodating, were very conscious of keeping my vehicle as clean as possible. The cost of this service was higher than I thought it would be, but I understood that a lot of that cost was due to govt regs on dealing with an AC system. The vehicle status report provided by W.A. at the end of service was a nice touch.

They were able to get my car in quickly and repaired right away. The price paid was not something I was counting on but it was extremely fairly for the amount of work needed. I was also glad they even called while working on my vehicle to suggest some issues that should be taken care of. Their new shop is awesome..would recommend them to anyone!
Super pleased as a first time customer! They replaced my warped front rotors. The communication was great, along with the technology they use and ease of online pay. They picked my car up to diagnose the issue, fixed it same day, and brought it back to my work when it was complete which was super convenient for me! A bit on the pricier end, but I don’t mind when the service exceeds expectations and knowing it will get fixed right the first time. Will definitely be using them as my new garage.
We would like thank Wellsboro automotive for fixing our fuel pump and everything else that came with it. They did a great job as usual. We take our vehicles to them whenever there is a need. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of great service and very friendly. Good people.

WA made it easy for me to get my car worked on while I was at work. They picked my car up and brought it back when it was finished. Communication was done through texting and I was able to respond as needed. I was even able to pay for the services online, without interruption to my day.
Very friendly and clear. Car has never run better. We played a little phone tag where I had to call back 2 times in 24 hours to connect when they had left me a message, but that was the only hiccup. A fist-time user, I’ll be back.
It's nothing that the staff did it's just that the parts that it could get only came from the Bronx you don't have one of them you need two of them and that's the only reason it's not five stars but yeah I was really happy with everything
Very positive experience. Nice tech options, like the staff sending reports about your car to your phone. I appreciate the staff working the schedule so that they completed an oil change on one vehicle and then we swapped it out for our next one. They noticed a problem with a belt during the oil change and notified me of the problem. Replacing it was a better option then having it break on the next road trip. Very grateful for the detailed reports that come with the oil changes.

Wellsboro Automotive got me out of a big jam. Due to an illness my vehicle was passed due for inspection. They took me in on a day’s notice! The inspection was like none I have ever had. They were thorough and efficient. And to my surprise they gave me a detailed printout on the details of their inspection. They will now be my go to place for inspections and car work!
I drive a 2014 Mercedes C250. I took my car to the Mercedes dealership in Rochester and Syracuse for a suspected timing issue, however, both dealerships were giving me the runaround to even diagnose my car let alone work on it for months! I was running around searching for any shop to just figure out the issue and have the tools to work on a Mercedes. I contacted Wellsboro Automotive toward the end of May after being recommend by a friend who had work done on their Audi. They were able to get my car in super quick and diagnosed the problem effectively ( in one day!). I was also super pleased with the level of communication while my car was in their care. Despite it being a big job, I was quoted about half of what was quoted from the dealership including additional maintenance and my car was done in no more than two weeks (including the expected wait for parts)! I highly recommend Wellsboro Automotive, especially for foreign vehicles!
I am very happy with the service. They were busy but were able to squeeze me in. I was from out of town and didn’t know the area. They were very friendly and helpful. Would use them on regular basis if I lived closer.
My car gave me some trouble on my trip from Philadelphia and they were able to get me in and out within 4 hours. I was staying at a hotel nearby and they provided transportation for me to get to the hotel and back to the shop. Jordan was also very nice and patient! My drivers were very nice. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. Everyone was so nice and welcoming while I was losing my mind in an unfamiliar place. If I could be stuck somewhere again, I would not mind it being this town. We were traveling through when our car started flashing the check engine light and shaking. Wellsboro Automotive was able to got us in that day. They did a thorough diagnostics test and were able to find and fix the problem in a matter of hours. They also gave us the diagnostic results so we could see everything going on with our car. We were in a tough spot and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely make this my go to shop if I lived closer.
Came here without an appointment on my way home to Maryland. Jeff was so kind and got my car in right away. He made sure my car was safe to drive after my engine cover broke. Very competent and honest business.
Wellsboro automotive were great for my inspection - it was quick, conveniently reported, and well priced.
Two months later I came in for a tire to be plugged. It was a tiny, difficult-to-find pin prick, but they charged me $50(!) to plug it? Then, since it turned out they missed further damage to inner lining, they didn't actually fix anything.
Noticing the tire still leaking, I came back a few weeks later. They discover this further, irreparable damage, then try to rip me off with their new tires - overpriced $40 vs market rate, and charging >$150 for labor to install them. Plus trying to sell me extended tire-warranties, and a credit card to finance the bill with. I must look like a chump.
Went elsewhere, got better tires for hundreds less, installation included. Jeff's a very friendly guy, but now I look back and wonder how much of that is just sales tactics.
Oil change and winter tire mounting, balance, alignment. Jeff flagged some other issues with the vehicle that needed to be addressed during the inspection. The pricing was fair and Jeff was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. An overall very positive experience!
