Tow guy wouldn't tow my truck after telling him on the phone what it was.
But he said if I gave him $117.00 cash he would tow it one mile to the garage. + I'm a 22 + year member of AAA then called me a dickhead. I guess because I wouldn't give him the money !
AAA sent these guys out to tow my vehicle to a repair shop. The issue it was towed for was a bad A/C pump. By the time it arrived the oil pan was cracked ($480) and the ABS and brake lights are on now. Still investigating the brake lights. I'm sure it was hooked up improperly and the wiring is damaged. There is an oil trail through the mechanics driveway. No oil in mine or on my road. Weird huh? A simple $400 repair is now over 1k.
I called to have a disabled car towed from Niles, OH to a shop in Hermitage, PA and Carpenter's got it scheduled and picked up right away. I will definitely call them for any future towing needs.
This business should be your first call if you need a tow truck in the region!
Caleb was my tow truck driver. He came 20 minutes faster than estimated and was super helpful. He recommended a good mechanic and gave me advice based on his experience as a mechanic. I don't know much about cars, so he even stayed at the mechanic and helped me with talking to them. Great service.

They were very quick at responding and towing my car after an accident. The guys were helpful. One staff member helped me get into my dead car the next day by giving me a jump so I could make sure I had all of my belongings. Friendly and fast. Recommend.
The fastest response time I've ever experienced. Turns out, I managed to get my truck started right before he arrived, which only took ten minutes...on a Sunday. The driver was very nice, and didn't even charge us for the inconvenience. The next time I need a tow I know who I'm calling.
A few weeks ago, my car broke down in the area, but we live in Virginia. They came to tow my car when the engine wouldn’t start, but the gentleman was able to get my car running for me to drive it to the shop. I figured they would charge me some sort of service fee for driving over with the tow truck, even though they didn’t end up towing my car, but I was so thankful to see that they didn’t. The gentlemen here were so helpful and they got my car repaired right away so that we could get back home. Every person I spoke with was very respectful and kind, explaining everything thoroughly and understandably for my non-automotive brain. I was so impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and thoroughness. They truly turned a stressful situation into a grateful one. I couldn’t recommend them more!
John carpenter was extremely helpful he was willing to help me any way he could he even came back to his shop after closing so I could retrieve my vehicle. Prices are good and Excellent service. Carpenters will be my call for any towing needs
We got to meet two employees of this business.
My 2016 RAM died at the PA Welcome center @ mm 0.5 on I-80 Eastbound.
The first employee arrived within 15 minutes of calling (never got his name) and went through all the "power-battery" checks he could.
Nothing. He called into "base" told them we'd need a tow.
The second employee (Caleb) arrived within 30 minutes. Had on the hook within 10 minutes and we were gone (even while navigating some idiots from Arizona in the RA parking area)
The truck was towed to a RAM dealership, dropped off and Caleb took us to a rent-a-car place.
If the rest of the employees of Carpenter Auto Repair & Towing are anything like the two we met...They deserve 10 stars!

So I was involved in a wreck I was the passenger after it was all said and done they charged my friend over 600.00 dollars too tow it to their yard it was only 5 miles down the road what a rip off them and the cops got a little scam going on bigtime JOKES will make sure everyone knows about their services rip-offs they set the price so high so you don't pay it then they can part your car out and sell it piece bye piece that's ok God don't like a lair what goes around comes around I prayed for them my friend has medical complications and they just took every penny he had too get it out.......
Wow! I will tell everyone what a great experience this was! My 3 year old son is obsessed with tow trucks and towing things. The man who came for my van was so kind to him he showed him the truck and let him push the button to pull the van on the truck! I wish I would have gotten his name! He was awesome and completely made my sons day! Thank you!!
Needed a tow today, I call AAA to let them know I need assistance and not even 5 minutes after I get off the phone with them, Sue calls me from Carpenter’s eager to help. Super polite we had a laugh, and not even five minutes after I get off the phone with her, John calls me assurin me he’s not long out an he’ll be there in 15. Ten minutes he arrives, polite, laid back, safe an efficient driver, drives me to my mechanic where I’m dropping my car. Very considerate handling of my vehicle, which is beyond appreciated for because it’s classic and slammed!! These people had a positive attitude an made an about to be long day, into a quick an easy process to a solution.
We needed a tow today after we got a flat tire. AAA hooked us up with Carpenter's. They were very prompt and arrived way sooner than I expected. Jon was amazing. I had my 3 year old daughter with me, and he was friendly and made us both feel at ease. He arranged to drop us off to shop in Hermitage, and continued on to drop our vehicle off for repair. He made our safety a priority, and was very conversational and amazing to work with. I would recommend Carpenter's and Jon 1000 times over.
Always friendly, very fair with their prices, they don't rip you off and add extra unnecessary services. They even told me one time (with my old vehicle) I'd be better off getting a new car than paying them to fix mine because it was going to cost so much.
They towed my sons car thru AAA and were on the ball thanks for the great service. We're from out of town and they lifted a weight off our shoulders with my son in the hospital thanks again

I needed a jump start at a very inconvenient time in the middle of the morning. Their technician Anthony came out and was very courteous and professional and not only gave me a jump start but analyzed the system and diagnosed the issue. Five stars.
Great service! Friendly enployees! Best place to go for basic auto needs. I also get my yearly inspections done there. Carpenter Auto also provides a towing service which is nice. I trust them implicitly! They're good, honest, down-to-earth people! Give them a try...you'll see what I mean!
