A small but enchanting place that will keep you entertained for hours. Nature at its best.

Beautiful place! During my last visit water levels were low and I was able to climb all over the rocks and get to the other side of the water. Fall views are beautiful!

I come here every year in the fall although this year the falls were very dry. I don't recommend going to visit here until we get a lot more rain.

Beautiful waterfall super quick walk down to it if you can handle steps you'll be able to see this waterfall. So peaceful good parking no bathroom.

Beautiful from both sides of the river. Was able to take part in stocking the creek with trout. Great experience

Its flowing powerfully right now. The back trail is still ice ladened and unpassable but beautiful views none the less.

Really nice falls that are only a quick—very quick—walk from the parking lot. The falls are quite large and impressive. There are a couple little paths you can take to get better views of it. You can also walk around on the falls. Just be sure to be careful as some spots are slippery. Some areas that were not wet were still slippery for me wearing hiking boots. There is plenty of parking, but the falls can definitely get crowded. The falls are close by though so there is a quick turnover of cars in the lots. There was a bit of gross foam in some of the more stagnant areas. Overall though, worth the quick 10 minute stop. visited 8/31/24

It's a beautiful place to visit with family. The path is slippery in some parts, so you must be careful, especially if you bring small children.

One of the best waterfalls and trails I've ever seen! Short stairway to several spots to sit in the water and take in the view. There's a path down to the right to see the falls from a lower angle and it's beautiful with the flowers, ferns, and rocks

It was a little tricky getting there when you pull into where you think Shohola Falls is and there’s a dam. You feel like you have to go to the other side of the river to see the falls. Truth is if you just go to the right hand side of the dam down the dirt path you will find the best viewing spot for the falls. If you decide to climb out on the rocks be careful because it will be slippery if it’s wet. You can wade in the water there and just soak in all of the sounds!!!

Visited Shohola Falls on June 23rd, and it was a refreshing and pleasant experience, perfect for enjoying the beauty of nature. The falls are right next to the lake and only about 100 steps from the parking area. It wasn't too crowded, with just two vehicles in the lot. However, be cautious around the falls, as some spots can be quite slippery. The views of the falls and the surrounding nature are stunning, and the lake view is equally delightful.

Amazing site to see, but dangerous to get to in front of the falls. Should fix up and make it handicap accessible. Would be an amazing tourist attraction. One of the best falls around.

Absolutely amazing place, for summer definitely a go to place, but for winter definitely wear something warm, cz its damn cold?. Gotta be careful with steps when it snows. But it still has amazing view. Parking is available very close to fall. Even Dam view is amazing. Its fun place for picnic lunch in summer.

Beautiful falls. The area is very easy to access. It is well marked and the access the falls is a quick walk (about 1 minute). This is not a distance hike kind of thing. There are some slippery and icy parts so be careful with the kids and the dogs. There is plenty of parking- two large lots. There is a house on the other side of the driveway but it is clearly marked as private so be respectful please. Once when Andy, Chris and I were on a canoe trip on the upper Delaware River we stopped for lunch and walked up to an old abandoned farm house. It was a really cool place. But I had broken my metatarsal at the time when I dropped a couch on my foot so I didn’t go with them because it was a bit precarious. They came back and said they found an old locked chest in the abandoned farmhouse and broke it open only to find it empty. A bit of a let down. Maybe it was magic and they couldn’t actually see what was in the chest because they’re non believers. Chris was always the skeptical type but I would have expected more from Andy.

We accidentally stumbled upon this pretty falls when we visited the Pocono mountains this weekend! We wanted to drive by the scenic Route 6 and we found this place on the way. The falls are so gorgeous and are a short 2 minute walk from the parking lot. The Shohola reservoir is on the other side, also accessible from the parking lot and has a beautiful display of fall colours. I highly recommend visiting this quaint, beautiful place for a quick stop.

Can get busy on weekends but overall beautiful. The walk to the viewpoint of the full falls was a little narrow at parts but still doable!

Shohola Falls is an enchanting sight to behold. The waterfalls are truly picturesque, creating a magnificent roar that’s awe-inspiring. Convenient parking nearby and a delightful walk through the woods add to the experience. I really appreciated “Dangerous Travel at Own Risk” sign, it turned it into an adventure. The abundance of mushrooms and fungi adds an extra touch of wonder. A nature lover’s paradise!

Lovely falls! A very easy walk down to the falls and unlike other falls in the area you can actually touch the water. It's a nice place to birdwatch as well. Within our short hour visit we saw kingbirds, spotted sandpipers, ducks, several warblers, sparrows and herons. Wildlife is also everywhere! Deer, toads, frogs and efts can be found here. While I didn't bring any fishing gear, I did see people fishing and catching. I will definitely be visiting again!

Narrow road to amazing jewel. Make sure to wear sneakers, as it is a bit sippery and wet if you want to make it all the way to the waterfall front view. Dont miss a small deck to enjoy lake view with small fish and water snakes on the other side of the parking lot.

The trail provides a serene and peaceful experience, leading to breathtaking cascades that will leave you amazed. It's the perfect destination for nature enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the beauty of Shohola Falls.

Gorgeous waterfalls! Quick trail walk (less than a mile) to the falls from the parking area. It's impressive how much water flows through the falls at times! One of my favorite waterfalls in the NEPA area!

Gorgeous waterfall right by the parking lot and the dam. There is a small staircase to bring you down and after couple steps you can face the entire cascade of water. The only thing is it was snow on the path today and it was slippery and steep, be careful walking in winter. There is no hiking needed at all, the waterfall can be heard from the parking lot which is rather big. Great experience.

Gorgeous lake with multiple waterfalls and wildlife. A new deck has been built for better views of the lake. Easy drive from route 6. There's hunting on this area make sure you wear bright colored clothes.

Easily accessible, just ignore Google Maps instructions to turn left at the end. Follow the sign! I spent several hours on a quiet Monday morning there with my camera and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet. I do need to revisit when there is more water flowing. The end of August after an unusually dry summer changes the nature of the falls. Well worth visiting!

Must see. My family and I loved seeing the lake, the dam, and the falls. Fun hiking. Use caution as trails can be slippery and narrow. Check out both sides of the falls.
