It’s decent for a low cost storage need, the storage units are outside so pretty dirty inside, if that matters to you. Move in was very easy and a gate code is given to you. Move out was difficult, manager is never on property when it says he is and number provided is not in service. Gate is left open during business hours it seems as well which I did not know. Call center is kind and helpful but still waiting to receive an email with move out information to confirm I won’t get charged for the following month. The company is decent, walnutport location itself needs better staff/manager.
Have rented with Load and Lock a few years ago in Palmerton. We currently are moving our RV from another site to the Walnutport location. Ronnie was very helpful and friendly, showing us our outside spot and facilitating our rental agreement at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this storage facility.
Watch this place, they lure you in with lower cost then raise the price consistently. They were charging me with their rip off insurance and then taxes to a total of about $220 a month for a 10×10.. I moved my stuff to another storage facility, with the Uhaul rental and 2 months into the new place for what this scam place charged me for a month. Imagine what im going to save now that im gone. Check other facilities, there are numerous complaints about this place raising prices on you once you are in. Also beware of damaging your vehicle driving up to the facility. Road is real bad!!
I rented a unit for 2 years and I never once had an issue with management, accessing my unit or entering the property, everything went smoothly. In the future if needed I will definitely rent from here again
This storage facility has the most ignorant staff ever. One of the staff members that works there was so rude started cursing me out on the phone yelling at me inappropriately does not even have no respect when we're trying to talk to you and start yelling at you tell you you need to pay now or else...
So I highly highly recommend that you do not use this storage facility or any other locations they have or own they are the most rudest people ever.
Best price, great location, super easy and convenient to lease a storage unit here. Very happy with my decision to go with Load and Lock storage in Walnutport.
Employees were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Explained everything clearly. Storage area is clean and neat. Gated and locked. There are security cameras in place.
I would recommend Load and Lock Self Storage to all of my friends and family. The storage facility itself is easily assessible from the main road and parking lot allows for easy hauling. The employees are also very kind and knowledgable. Unlike other storage facilities, Load and Lock Storage has been 100% transparent with their fees and hours, etc. The atmosphere makes me feel like my belongings are safe and secure. I would without a doubt recommend to everyone!
Always a pleasure dealing with this team. Everyone is friendly and the property is always clean and the snow is never an issue. Much better maintained than other facilities!!! Highly recommend!
LARGE, FAST RATE INCREASES - 6 months after I got started they raised my rate by ~50%. They’ll hook you in at a lower rate and then jack up the rates asap once you’re far away and stuck. When you call they’ll tell you that it’s allowed per the long lease document and that “the computer” does it, not them.

I have used Load and Lock self storage for years. Their self storage facility is very clean and secure. Their self storage staff is polite and professional. I recommend Load and Lock for all of your self storage needs.
The Load and Lock Palmerton location needs road maintenance very bad. Roads are washed out and not being fixed. We moved to the Load and Lock Walnutport location which is all blacktopped but every year we stored our RV there; they raised our rent. It's outside storage, no maintenance required. They priced themselves out of my business. I found a storage location closer to my home for lower monthly rent. Sorry Load and Lock!
Had a great experience at the Walnutport, PA location. A clean and well maintained facility. Freshly paved, plenty of new units and storage parking recently added, and new security features. Easy in and out, and convenient. Best part of my experience was the staff. The manager and his crew do a great job there. Would highly recommend to anyone. You stay on time with payments and stick to their policies and procedures you will have NO issues there despite what some may say in other reviews. Was there for 2 1/2 years without any problems whatsoever.
I already recommended load and lock to two other people! I hope they follow up. The office and facilities were very clean. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and did not rush the process which was important to me. Also at this facility, the gate times are the most convenient that I’ve found yet.

I first rented 2 10×20 units for all of my house contents after a couple months I combined both at which point I found that the one unit I was moving out of leaked on the back wall and all of my furniture was destroyed and could not be saved! I had renters insurance of my own unfortunately it wasn't enough to turn in! I eventually had to move back into the original second unit (leak was fixed) as we found that next one had also leaked and some stuff was also trash...I have since moved out of all units. I unfortunately had to leave two living room chairs behind for garbage as I had no place to get rid of them and now I'm told to pay $100 or I will be charged a monthly rent its bull...I understand the company gets charged to remove junk from the premises but really $100 for the removal of 4 items! And I'm on a monthly budget
Same as the last review. I came out to my camper after storing it for the winter and my propane lines were cut and tanks stolen. I spend $100 a month to store my camper here. They offered me one month’s rent to help me cover the $700 in repairs.
If I’m going to pay $100 a month for storage, I expect my items to be safe or that they would help me more with the coverage of the repairs.
Today I went to pull my newer camper out of the storage area and my gas lines were cut. Two propane tanks were taken, the cover for the tanks and the regulator. Plus I think they stole stuff from the outside storage part of the camper. I was told there’s nothing they can do accept offer camera footage. They have ONE camera at the beginning of the storage units. My camper is all the at the end of the parking lot and blocked by much larger campers. There are NO CAMERAS at the end of the storage lot to see that part where I was parked. I would be very mindful of storing your things here. They take no responsibility for the items on their property. So disgusted.
My initial inquiry about renting in your Walnutport location went really well. I met the on site manager the next morning and was able to pay for two months right away. Clean location and wide roadway for getting a truck and trailer through if necessary.
I have nothing but good things to say. The person I spoke with on the phone answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. I've never needed a storage unit before so she was really patient with me. When I signed up at the office the woman was very helpful and when I called up for assistance with making my first payment the manager was also so very nice and helpful.
