A beautiful, well-maintained King Post Burr Arch truss span built in 1839. She was apparently the first covered bridge to be saved by the efforts of concerned citizens in 1959. If that's the case, then we as fellow bridge lovers owe them a great deal. This spot is lovely, with a gazebo and grassy fields to wander. Fantastic find on our tour through the region today.
Historical places have a different way of hitting you when you know your ancestors were in the area when the original structure was built. Great place to just sit and take in the nature surrounding the bridge since it isn't used for automotive traffic anymore.
Of the 90+ covered bridges I have visted in Pennsylvania, the Kreidersville has one of the most beautiful settings. Its lovely cobble stone entrance and gorgeous stone wall really give it that yesteryear feel. It is displayed in a peaceful garden park setting. The Gazebo on one side and the rustic shed on the other was just the cherry on top!
A great, enjoyable festival held every 2 years. This bridge was used daily for local travel to and from all the local farms and homes in the area until the late 1950's.
This is the only covered bridge in Northampton County and it looks like they've turned it into a park. We were unable to drive over it, but we felt comfortable pulling over and walking around
Great place to enjoy a beautiful day! The place is typically not crowded, very quiet and always clean took my mom and my step dad's mother here for a picnic and we were the only ones here !
I always like to see covered bridges that aren't delapitated. This covered bridge was nicely restored. Walking through a covered bridge reminds me of the olden days when people rode horses and were of a much simpler nature and content. That memory puts a smile on my face.
Beautiful cover bridge very well maintained area. There is a gazebo and a picnic table here as well as benches by the water. There is a porta potty here would be nice if there was a proper restroom. You are able to rent the area for weddings or other occasions.
Nice piece of history. Quiet little park with plenty of room for the kids to play. A creek for wading or fishing and shade trees for sitting under and relaxing.
Beautiful covered bridge with a nice park next to it. You would hardly see a crowd here. So if you are here with your friends, spend some time and enjoy the calm and quite place all by yourself..!
Neat old covered bridge. It is fascinating to see the sturdy wooden beams inside the structure. The red paint looked pretty good. The bridge isn't located in the middle of nowhere, but it's not surrounded by development, either.
Good place to make a rest stop. Scenic well kept place to wait for traffic to lessen at rush hour. I like going there because it's my old back yard. Brings back good memories it's a peaceful place to think solve problems decompress in a nice environment. The Covered Bridge always helps me relax that was where we used to hang out and relax.
Small little covered bridge park. You can tell someone cares for this park very much. The park is well kept and the gazebo is maintained. Some nice walking paths are around the park and the bridge itself is very well kept. There is no parking space but there usually isn't anyone here.
Great place to go with family. Between the amazing spots to fish there's plenty of space to walk the dog or have some family fun. If your looking for a relaxing spot, this is the place
Beautiful bridge in great shape and well taken care of. A nice gazebo for a picnic and a good spot for fishing. I love going to see it. Parking is on both sides of the bridge.
