Alex and the guy with dreads were very rude and unprofessional. I went in for a new headlight and asked for help changing it as auto zone has before with no issues until today.
Unacceptable accusation and unprofessional behavior toward my husband -
My husband stopped into this AutoZone twice today while trying to fix my car’s brakes. During his second visit around 2:40 PM, he was at the self-checkout when an employee suddenly came out from behind the counter and said, “Seriously, dude?” in an aggressive tone — accusing him of stealing the part he had just paid for.
My husband was completely shocked. He even offered to show proof of his transaction on his phone, and the employee just replied, “Nah, it’s okay,” and walked away. That is not how a situation like that should be handled. If you’re going to accuse someone of theft, you should be absolutely sure — and if you realize you were wrong, the least you can do is apologize.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable. You never know what someone is going through, and this unnecessary confrontation made an already difficult time even harder — we just lost our dog, who was like family to us. I hope management takes this seriously and reminds their staff to treat customers with respect and professionalism at all times.
This is strictly for the male that was working at the high street auto zone at 2:40pm today, Sunday October 5th
Selection of parts r good if they don't have something they can order it in a timely manner employees knowledgeable and most of them have a sense of humor
Great experience; went in for new wipers and thought I had picked out the right ones. I didn’t, but Jim asked me if he could check and got me straightened out. So glad I didn’t buy the wrong set.

Can't say enough about this place. I never walk to far in before being asked if I need help. I almost never leave without what I went there for. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful while not being pushy. It's my first choice to go for automotive.
Do not buy batteries from here as they will steal your money. Every time a battery is purchased they charge a core charge, which is standard and you get refunded when returning a battery. However, when we tried taking the old batteries back to get the core charge refunded, it was all “expired”. They claimed on the receipt it states that the core charge refund expires, but it does not. The only expiration on the receipt refers to the warranty. The website also does not state a limitation on core returns.
Do not buy your batteries here as they will not give you your money back.
Edit: Autozone called and claimed the core charge refund is part of their 90 days return policy, even thought it doesn’t specify that and their policy do state to make returns “in original condition and packing”. How are you gonna return a used core in its original condition and packing.
The store said I had 1 battery on my account that I can return for a core charge. The battery was purchased in October and this happened April/May. On July 17th I took that battery in at another location and got the core charge back.
If they claim you have to return an old battery within 90 days, then how could I return a battery 9 months later?

Go at this location a lot barely friendly staff and I'm able to buy the items that I need for my car had a very good decent price they are so educate you on what the problem is as being a female that does my own work on my own car they still treat me like a person instead of oh my gosh you a girl No
Went in for new wiper blades not knowing what I needed or how to do it, but needed it done ASAP. Alex asked me right away if I needed help, found the right size, special connector my car needed, and installed the new blades for me in under 15 minutes. Great experience, really appreciated the professionalism, knowledge, customer service, and speed. I would absolutely choose to do all wiper changes here instead of the dealership - better price and better service!!
Employees don't have enough common knowledge to help customers get the parts they need in one trip. It is very inconvenient having make multiple trips and place multiple orders to make one single repair because the store associates dont know what is needed to make a repair. For example if clips come with an echaust cover or if some lubricant comes with break calipers? Simple stuff that should be obvious to an auto parts store but may not be to a DIY novice.
Blown away by the service I received here yesterday! Was looking for a tail light for my Volkswagen. Alex was so knowledgeable we went to the aisle together of course I had no idea what I was looking for but Alex did; Had me in and out in less than 6 minutes. The guy on the phone I’m sorry (I didn’t catch his name) ended his call and said hello and even though he didn’t help me he went out his way wow! Thank You
I called about my headlight being out and spoke with RJ. He told me to come in so he could take a look at it to make sure he could replace it. I came in, he took a look at it, found the right bulb, and replaced it within 10 minutes. He was very helpful, kind, and professional!
I was assisted by a very nice young lady who helped with a car code reading. She printed out the results and then brought up the part I ended up having to purchase. I appreciated her kindnessand time. Thank you!
Needed to have my battery and alternator tested since my van has been having issues starting/charging the battery. The gentleman that helped me was not only friendly but also quick. Turns out everything according to the printout was running good, but at least I know there's a place to get them checked fast instead of going to a garage :)
I’ve just recently moved to the Pottstown area and had a catastrophic issue with my car battery on Thanksgiving Day- but thankfully my friend was able to lend me a portable jumper until I could replace my battery. Regardless, I called this Autozone and asked about an appointment to change out my battery, as every other place I called needed an appointment, and not only were they SUPER nice but let me know I didn’t need an appointment. So I went after work, on a Saturday, and they took me right away and were so beyond helpful and nice and within 30 minutes I had a new battery in my car and everything was cleaned up perfectly. Special thanks to Jim S. for his help today!! I could not have asked for a better experience than what I got today!! Even then I wasn’t interacting with Jim, I had other employees come up and make sure I was being taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this place without any hesitation!! They are the best!

The autozone up the street called and asked if this location has a pack of lug nuts on the shelf. This location said they had none. We asked them to double check and pottstown autozone was not interested. I made the drive to pottstown and checked the shelf myself to find (2) packs of lug nuts on the shelf. The atmosphere was sub par compared to other chains. I hope I don't have to go back to this location.
Update: the staff has been changed since my last review. They were courteous and helpful this time. (Last review)My husband and I have been coming here for years. We have spent thousands. We went in today asked about a tool adapter and they were extremely RUDE. Said if we have it, it will be on the floor. He said it like we were totally bothering him and the 2 other employees he was talking with. We were the only customers in there. Normally someone would have helped us try to find it or at least what isle it would be in. I have never encountered such rudeness in a customer service place.
My first visit here was last evening. I needed to replace my ripped windshield wiper. The gentleman (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) listened to what I was looking for price and performance wise. As we were walking out to put the blades on, I mentioned I should learn how to do this myself. I was surprised at his response which was 'I can teach you'. What incredible service. I left with better wipers then I was overpaying for at the dealer and I now know how to install myself. Thank you. The service here exceeded my expectations and should be an example to other businesses. I sincerely thank the person who helped me.
I am an automotive technician so to you fellow wrenches I need not to say how clutch this place and the staff can be. Without a doubt a lifesaver that they're are open until at least 9 every night. So when it's raining on a Sunday night and it's a side job I can't use the excuse that no one is open . Thank you to the wonderful staff who is constantly helping me make money.
Always very helpful and knowledgeable staff, have never had a clerk that didn’t know what they were talking about. They have a little hand-held machine, which they will use on your car to tell you why your “check engine” light came on and give you the code so you can inquire with your personal mechanic. As a single female, have never been ripped off and have always had a pleasant experience. You can also borrow tools if you need them with a license.
