Brought my 2021 Subaru in for an engine oil change, and was told that my rear break pads and air filters need to be replaced. I added a state inspection on top of it. Total came out to close to $1800. Of that, $768 was parts, and $945 was labor. Yes, $945 in labor alone. That's $118 per hour, even for a full-day's work! These guys make 2-3 times than most people. And I highly doubt the tech spent the whole day on my car doing just an inspection, engine oil change, break pad replacement, and replacing air filters and some fluids.
Brought my car in for what should've been a $100 engine oil change, and ended up paying close to $1800 for a few services the car probably didn't even need. What a scam. I was tired from this work week, so I wasn't thinking it through. I can't believe I agreed to pay all this. I should've just took my car somewhere else when they gave me the quote. Definitely not coming back here ever again.
Great service and experience. The starter on my car went and they were able to get me right in. Ended up getting new tires as well because the tread on mine had almost completely worn down. They really dug into the best available options and gave me a very fair price. Also, I've never been in mechanics waiting area that was so clean. Had completely drinks/snacks while I waited. Will be back.
I stopped there because I needed a wheel bearing done which I found out is pretty common for Subarus. They were very professional and handled everything the proper way. I will continue go there because of how they interact with the customers. Tom is fantastic, upbeat, caring and knowledgeable. Thanks guys
I truly like the friendliness and cortesie that I receive. I made a call and with a couple hours I had my son car inspection done. They even found one problem that will help the car run better in the future. I appreciate the honesty and service I received I will use them from now on.

I brought my 24 years old antique car (Buick Lesabre) to these guys with a no start condition. They took the time to figure out what was wrong and fixed it. They are tenacious and honest, two rare qualities in this otherwise non-service providing world we live in now. So I used Christian Brothers when I was a little bit down on my luck and I got a free oil change from them through keystone opportunity Center. I was so thankful that they and all the employees volunteered their time to help out people in need. They were very nice and now that I'm back on my feet again I will be using them as my mechanics. Any company that goes above and beyond to volunteer and help people in need is the kind of company I can trust and respect!
I was looking for a place to get my car serviced at an engine repair shop, and I found Christian Brothers Automotive. The prices were reasonable, the work was done accurately, and the staff was friendly. I was so grateful to have found a place that had everything I needed. I was so happy to be back home after getting my car repaired. If you're reading this, you should definitely visit them. You'll be satisfied.
Work was done as promised after initial Hiccups with the electronic braking system, error, and malfunction for BMW X5. Brake work required redo and proper calibration which was done without additional cost. I’m not sure they are the best but I would recommend this place for German cars
I called Christian Brothers last minute because my car was making an odd noise and I wanted a second opinion. They told me I could bring it in first thing and look at it free of charge to see what was going on. They were understanding that if they found something wrong with it, I still wanted to take it to my dealership because the car was still under warranty.
Patrick, the Service Manager, thoroughly looked over my car for more than an hour at no cost. Despite not finding anything, I was still very thankful for him taking the time to look over my car on a busy Monday. I even tried to pay him but he refused.
He, and the rest of the team at CBA, are great people and I will be taking my car there going forward.

This was my first time using this shop, and I had a fantastic experience. I was so relieved when they were able to get me in for a same-day appointment.
My mechanic, Kyle, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything that was going on with my car and patiently answered all of my questions. He completely eased my mind about the issue I came in for, which I really appreciated.
Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. I 1000 percent recommend them and will definitely be coming back for any future car needs!
Brought my car in for a state inspection. I'm assuming that the price paid (which was reasonable) for a state inspection includes the labor to raise the car on the lift, remove all 4 wheels (to inspect the brakes), and then to re-mount the 4 wheels back on the car.
I asked if they would also rotate the tires, which they did. They charged an additional $34 labor to rotate the tires. This seems unreasonable considering the above. How hard is it to walk the wheel over to the other hub?
My daughter had just graduated from DelVal University this May and landed a job At Charles Rivers. She decided to stay in the area and is now a couple of hours from our house now. When it got cold she would text me that she had no heat. I’m a mechanic myself but timing wise it’s hard to get to her to see what’s going on. So I researched garages in her area and took a chance that she wouldn’t be taken advantage off. I told her to take it to Christina Brothers in Montgomery Mall. She dropped the vehicle off and found the problem. They had to get the part that would take a few days and they didn’t charge her up front and allowed her to take the vehicle until part came in. Part came in and she rescheduled to have the job finished and all is good now. These guys are top notch and honest. I went to Christian brothers for the first time about 2 years ago when I had a problem that stumped my regular mechanic . They diagnosed the problem, was electrical, they even sent me photos to show me the cause, frayed or chewed through wires. They also did a courtesy thorough diagnostic check and gave me recommendations in order of importance, so I could decide what to get done right away or what could wait. They never pushed me to do anything. Since then I’ve gone back for subsequent smaller repairs and services, and each time treated with utmost courtesy and honesty. Their outstanding customer service and professional work keeps me going back.
My wife took her vehicle in for inspection and they scratched the window tint on her windshield. When she addressed it, they said it was her fault that they didn’t know there was tint and that it shouldn’t have passed inspection despite it not being pass/fail point of inspection in the state of PA. They refused to apologize until she decided to leave. The only remedy they offered was to cut out a square for the inspection sticker and nothing else.
Future tip: accidents happen, it’s okay to admit fault and apologize. Instead you lost a customer due to something that was an accident and accusing the customer of foul play.
Honest and outstanding service. My car’s front brake sensor indicated I needed new brake pads. However, the inspection revealed that the brake pads were good and I had more than 25,000 miles left on them. Also, the free shuttle service is great!
I had a very disappointing experience at Christian Brothers Automotive (Montgomery Mall, 565 DeKalb Pike, North Wales). My son brought in our car to have both rear brakes replaced. He provided the parts and was quoted about $300 for labor.
The shop only replaced one rear brake, discovered the other caliper was seized, and then reassembled the car without calling us for options. Afterward, they informed him the vehicle was unsafe to drive but still charged the full $300 labor fee — despite not completing the job. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have the caliper in stock, leaving us with no solution.
This was unacceptable. The lack of communication, releasing an unsafe car, and charging full price for incomplete work shows poor customer service and questionable business practices. Customers deserve honesty, fair billing, and consideration for safety, none of which we experienced here.
Thomas Stevens was very dishonest, stating that we resided out of town on our invoice, when we live 15 minutes away from this location. Here at this location, they consider everyone else’s position, but the customer. Their practices are unethical, immoral, and unjustifiable.
My recommendation is that you search elsewhere for your automobile services as this franchise is anything but Christian based. I have reached out to the owner and I am waiting on a response. I will update this Post upon hearing from the Owner, Chip Eissler.
I’m not sure if they’re even recognized by the Better Business Bureau. I will look into it.
Had a great experience getting my q5 checked and an unexpected vibration on right turns root caused and fixed. The issue was resolved on time, with quality and cost competitively! That’s rare.
I was out of town and had a small issue on my car -- Christian Brothers took care of it quickly for me even though they were very busy. Can't thank them enough. Friendly staff and great waiting room.
In all honesty I will never come back here again. Went out of my way to have a coworker follow me to pick me up after dropping off my car in the morning and have a coworker drop me off when I returned at the end of the day to find out almost none of the work requested was completed! They are lucky I even paid anything and left cordially. Services requested included - rear brakes and rotors, 4 new tires, whatever it took to pass state inspection (all I knew about was a rear light from my previous experience) essentially I gave you a blank check to get it all done. They call me at I drop off at 830a and they call me at 230 pm to discuss some internet hack generated report and tell me they were backed up and won’t get to it today. They made 70 bucks for an emissions test and video recording my exterior for liability protection purposes

I needed a new mechanic since moving to the area. As terrifying as car repairs can be i had a wonderful experience with CB. Tom was so understanding and gave me realistic expectations and options adjusted to my circumstances. Their diagnostic report is so cool and very detailed if you’re into learning about your vehicle. Communication on my service along the way was prompt and the office is so cozy. Definitely will return and refer others.
I have been using CB for a number of yrs and they have always been extremely honest and accommodating. Recently I had an emergency situation and even though they were very busy Tom and the team went above and beyond to get my car repaired quickly. Great Service and Honesty is rare in the automotive repair business and CB definitely sets the bar high for both. Thx again guys!

I was looking for a new auto repair service and bought my car in. Right out of the gate, Anthony at the front desk was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
CB has an excellent shuttle service for customers who live in the area. (Shout out to Matt, the driver, who is kind, smart and cordial). The waiting room is comfortable with free wifi.
Most importantly, Anthony was transparent about the work and cost. He communicated every step of the way. I appreciated his proficiency.
The technicians work was fast and efficient and before I knew it, the car shuttle was out front of my house to pick me up.
It was a positive experience from start to finish.
It is a great place! The staff is not only knowledgable but also very friendly. I had the state inspection done for my Tesla Model 3 and they know what they need to do. I will definitely recommend any one with a Tesla coming here! ... actually anyone with a car...
