Went for an oil change. They upsold me on a flush. Left with a small tap that eventually turned into a knock. Brought it back and the timing chain was failing.
Fast forward when it failed. I brought the truck back to them. Will need a new engine. So we moved forward on that. 10k job that took 13-16 weeks. Ok. I eventually get a call to pay the other half by phone and come get it. Woo hoo but I wasn’t going to pay the other half till I drive it. Been some time ya know. Go down there and took my car for a test drive. 3 miles into my drive the service engine light goes on. And will continue to come on years later with no actual explanation or cause. Spent 5k replacing everything surrounding this light and still no fix. Referred and deferred to other Kost locations a number of times. Some locations upwards of 45min drive. Replace cat replace sensors factory parts replaced with other parts and replaced again. More time money and patience. To date (2-3yrs later we are 5k into chasing this light) and still no fix or improvement. All the while the store is trying to convince me that it’s ok it’s normal it must have been somethin I did that they are reputable and honest. Who you trying to convince buddy?! The truth is this shop holds full accountability while possessing none. I’ve called district managers and corporate and jumped through all their hoops to service this problem and protect my endearment but no luck and no concerns on their part. In fact… they vilified me for coming up so much to correct the issue I’ve paid several times over to have fixed.
I would strongly advise against going to Kost and if you do, keep your requests simpler than an oil change.
Been dealing with tom and the rest of the crew for almost 10 and can't say enough great things about them. I have never had a problem from them they are all professional and over the years I became good friends with tom totally a stand up guy.
Service is EXTREMELY SLOW, one car ahead of mine arriving at 9am being worked on an oil change, 10am, my car is next, 10:30am, still sitting in the lot, decided to leave and go next door to Midas for a SIMPLE oil change, had my car in the garage to be worked on within 15 minutes. I would rather pay the $100 as opposed to $80, be in and out. Never coming here again, don’t recommend this place if you’ve got things to do with your day, you’ll be stuck sitting for hours if you don’t have a back up vehicle.
Got there Saturday just before 11am was told 5 cars ahead of me just needed a simple oil change and tire rotation some how the guy after me was done before me 4 hours for an oil change and tire rotation never again
I have nothing but great things to say about Kost Tire Mount Pocono. Jason and the team are super friendly, and know they have saved me money compared to other companies in the area. They are always trying to rip you off. Everytime we go there there always seems to be a issue. Just back from there today for a inspection and they said need a cabin air filter and need rear brakes $650. By the way what does a cabin air filter have to do with a inspection. We marked the tires and asked for a rotation because we bought the tires there guess what no rotation done even after telling us they were rotated.
In short just looking to milk people out of money.
If you have nothing but time... this is the place for you. Ask for a time frame... he told me 2 to 3 hours... after 3.5 hours, the car was still parked. When I approached to ask, was just told still 5 cars ahead of me... I understand that things take time. I would have come back another day, had I been told that was going to be a whenever kind of service!
Better to go to the dealer... 30 minutes away, but was never mote than an hour in and out.

Mike and Tommy took great care of my sister's car. They got everything taken care of so we could make sure they could get back on the road to head home. Great service. Would definitely recommend them or go to them in the future.
Mike and Tommy are true life savers. When disaster struck and we got a flat over 900 miles from home, they took care of everything and made sure we were all taken care of. Truly a blessing.
Great service, honest pricing and staff, nice environment and good coffee. They seem to take care of the public and do quality work. They showed me with my own eyes the issues and addressed them and informed me with their expertise. You guys got a long time customer with our family. They even fixed my son's bike tire and did some above and beyond after market work to make me inspection compliant and didn't even charge me. Good people and just a solid shop all around.

Went to this Kost to see if my tire could be patched. Tommy was the main person I talked to on both the phone and at the store. He was absolutely amazing! Very polite, caring and honest, also gave me a great quote for a set of new tires. Macho did a great job patching my tire and getting my 4 year old and I back on the road in no time flat - no pun intended!
I am very appreciative of their help and service today! I will only be going to this Kost from now on and I would definitely recommend them to others! 😊
Great service , I got 4 great tires for my Pathfinder and half off on inspection. The price for the tires was a $600 everything included. Great service, sat and waited less than 2 hours and talked with other customers and had coffee. No more buying tires online for me got a better deal here 😊
I have been dealing with this business for decades. I find the workers to be competent and honest. The manager Tommy is knowledgeable and people friendly. I've recommended many people to this establishment. Honesty is the best policy.

Was in the area for the weekend for great wolf lodge with the family and got a flat on our way to the resort. Stopped in to the shop on Saturday 5/18 to try and get a tire plug but turns out I needed a new tire. The worker at the front desk was able to break me a good deal so I could ensure me and the family made it back home safely to NJ. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely honest and helpful in a time of need. Couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome considering the situation. Wish I lived in the area to frequent this shop more. Hard to find honest working shops anymore. Thank you again!
Have done business with Kost tires in Mount Pocono for 10+ years. Have had Tom (Manager) and his crew work on all my cars and trucks and have always had them to be honest (sometimes too honest) and fair with all my vehicles. I am particular about my vehicles because I am a retired, disabled mechanic myself and they have always given me straight answers to my concerns.
I highly recommend them and I know that many of my friends also find Kost Tires of Mount Pocono to be honest and fair with all their customers.

Decent prices on tires but extremely slow when it comes to the work being done and the “alignments” are simply not done…I gave them the opportunity to make it right and they basically made it my fault so here we are $1100, 20,000k miles later, and ALL FOUR TIRES are completely destroyed
I needed a car inspection. As soon as I walked in the staff was super friendly. They took my car in for inspection immediately. But before that they explained all my options including cleaning out the filter due to vermin that could impact my health. My car is running beautifully thanks to the incredible staff at Kost. I would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.
I had a GREAT experience with this store. Tom, the store manager, took care of me and was calling me on issues I had with my truck. My truck is 14 yrs. old and Tom made sure that I was going to be happy with my purchase. The Mechanic Justin worked til the store closed and explained every detail of my truck. I like Honesty and this place has it. I've worked in retail for over 20+ years and within those 20 years I was in management. Tom and Justin made sure I was satisfied with my purchase and I was.
