For you complainers....Reiss does trash hauling not heart surgery. Reiss may not be perfect it is flexible and works with customers. That is a lot better than it's competition.

We have been using them for years. Fabulous customer service and environmental friendly. They are very careful when picking up the trash. If anything falls out they pick it up. Even a tissue. Unlike some of the other carriers that pick up trash. They dump and run. Pizza boxes blowing in the wind, food containers ect.. can't say enough about Reiss. We won't ever switch. Keep up the great work!

Just spoke to driver picking up trash & recycling at the 40 unit complex I rent in. I was curious about one truck picking up both trash & recycling and asked if the truck had 2 compartments? Answer: My regular truck does have 2, but it's in shop. So, they through the recycling in the trash. Would not be surprised if there really is no recycling here at all, just bins. Recycling may cost landlords more. Is this legal??????? Any lawyers looking for class action?

Obviously, they weren't doing a good job in Coopersburg. Because they got replaced by waste managembut. Picked up my recycling twice today. They never came to pick it up. Just got home from work recycling all over the place. This is unacceptable Reese Hauling

Almost EVERY week for months, I have to get out of my car to move the recycling container or our garbage can from the MIDDLE of our driveway so I can get in or out!!!! They get it from the space NEXT to my driveway, why can’t they put it back there? I check out everyone in our roads driveways when I leave and some days it is EVERY driveway and most times just ours! We have never given them a hard time so they are not doing for spite but WTH????? They just did it again today!

I pulled up their phone number today to call about picking up some oversized items and I was shocked when I noticed the horrible reviews. We have been with Reiss bros for about 20 years and I have never once experienced any of the problems described by others. In fact I just called them this morning and left a voice-mail about the above mentioned pickup and my call was returned within a couple hours as usual. The lady was very pleasant and gave me exactly what I needed to know and do to take care of a few large items I needed to have picked up. Yes, I have had some missed pickups over the years and at first I was even a little frustrated when they went from twice a week pickup to once a week. But to be honest I am still extremely happy with their service and every encounter I have ever had with them from the office staff to the drivers. I have never had an issue that wasn't promptly taken care of and I will continue supporting local family businesses as much as I can. Unfortunately in this day and age help let alone good help is hard to find in any industry and especially in the blue collar trades that they reside in. Thanks for your time, Jeff B.

This company is a joke 1st thing they should know the meaning of adhering to their scheduled days to pick up trash. Oh for bulk pick up we were told to put the money on top of the trash can. Brilliant!!! Stay away from this company

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Their customer service is a joke. Thay change pickup times on a whim and without appropriate notice.Their operators are careless and damage cans without a care. My trash can lids have been found destroyed in the middle of the road. They are truly the worst I have ever dealt with.

Avoid this company at all costs. I tried to contract them for our trash/recycling needs but were unable to get a callback to discuss a concern. I can't imagine having them as our hauler - if an issue came up, I expect they would be MIA for sure :( Response to owner response: Buyer Beware!!!! No other company has such a ludicrous contract - another reason to avoid this company at all costs! Nice to see someone does work there though LOL

Been using Reiss Brothers for many years. Never a problem but in the last 2 weeks I’ve been very disappointed. Last week I came home to broken glass and a fair amount of trash in the road. This week a left a toilet out in 3 pieces. They refused to take it. Have always left a decent Christmas tip for the guys. Not this year.

I needed to set up new trash service and I was very pleased with the woman who helped me out on the phone. It took a little bit of back-and-forth and I was happy with how helpful she was every time getting me the information I needed and working with me to get it all set up in my area. She responded quickly through email to get my questions answered and to work with me to get equipment out to my residence. They were out to take care of my trash on time even though I had random bags since I didn't have a container yet. I appreciate good service and good customer service, thank you

They used to be excellent when Dennis and his brother owned the company. Under the new ownership, they frequently forget to pick up our trash. I have called them and left messages, but do not get a response. We have had Reiss trash pick-up for 22 years; but if they continue to not pick up our trash, we will be discontinuing our business with them. Edit: Eventually it turned out that they changed our trash pickup day without notifying us and after several more episodes of forgetting to pickup our trash when we left it out on the correct day, they did pick up our trash. They have also raised their prices.

I forgot to put out my trash for the first time this Tuesday, but the driver retrieved it from near our house. EXCELLENT service!!! The company has always been responsive and professional.

We have used their dumpster services more than 20 years ,they have not picked up in 3 weeks ! They don't answer their phone calls and they don't return my messages

I was to have garbage and recycling pick up October 1 2022. They did not pick it up. I called Monday they did not answer the phone or return the call. My new pick up day was to be Friday starting October 7 2022. My trash has been out since October 1 2022. Again I called at 3:15 no response or trash pick up it is now after 7:00.

Had their service for a year. They provided a small toter on wheels and a small recycling bin I had to carry. All of my neighbors used a different service which provided two xl toters on wheels for a once a week pick up. Their pick up times were inconsistent all year which is not a big deal but some days the trash was never picked up. When you call to tell them you never get a call back. However when I called to rent a dumpster you get l a call back right away. After getting a ring camera I started to keep an eye on things and have videos of them on multiple occasions throwing my recycling in with the trash. This is not ok from an environmental point of view and because I pay for the recycling service. After they cancelled the 2x a week service I called and left a voicemail to discuss the issue with no mention of cancelling. After 2 calls I finally emailed them to cancel two weeks out when my new service started. No email reply and a few days later they took my trash bins. I will have no trash service for two weeks now. If you want a headache and total un professionalism sign up with Reiss.

Over the last few weeks this company stopped picking up our trash and Malia has not responded to phone calls or emails. Tim, the owner, needs to do a better job at making sure all of the paying customers are getting the service that they are paying for or Reiss needs to issue them a refund. It is unprofessional and we do not appreciate being a paying customer to a service that we are not receiving and for Reiss to ignore us when we try to reach out.

Switched from my old trash service to Reiss and they delivered on what they say. Suggested them to my two neighbors and they are satisfied also. Very good service!

I've tried to switch service. 1. no one ever picks up, you can only leave a voicemail 2. no one gets back the same day 3. after several voicemails, I still tried to give them a chance, after we established service area, container size, frequency. I left my name, return number and said let's go ahead with service. Return vm was who are you? I don't know if we service your area etc.... are there that many people calling you every day with who want to become a customer? Obviously, I'm not switching service. I can't imagine their response time if there's an issue Update: ended up switching, unfortunately, the settings up of service required a lot of headaches but I’m glad I tried again. I haven’t had a problem once since switching. They are doing their job to my full satisfaction. Is it worth 5 stars? They aren’t doing anything special but I didn’t hire them for anything special. I’m happy so yes to 5 stars

They skipped our house constantly. When we'd call in, we would get a call a few days later telling us they'll come next week. After many skipped weeks my husband called in and got a return phone call from the woman in the office asking if we'd like them to come at the end of the day. He said yes, and she yelled at him as she couldn't believe he wanted the crews coming at the end of their run. Then why ask?? She then proceeded to say they didn't need our money and canceled our account. They proceeded to bill us anyway, and having auto pay setup, it went through. I called 1.5 weeks ago asking for a refund and have yet to get a call back or a refund. The woman in the office is going to put their company under.

I saw all the reviews about nobody returning their calls we have been customers for many years. We have never had any problems with pickup or anyone returning our calls . Someone usually returns our call within 48 hours. However other companies in our area never seem to pick up when scheduled even when there is a little rain.

Since Reiss Bros changed ownership, their service has gone to the dump... If and whenever they decide to show up, they pick and choose what part of my trash they want to take... Recycle??? , Why recycle?? They throw it with the rest of the trash. There are many other trash companies out there to pick from. Just ask one of Reiss Bros current customers how terrible it has become.

Extremely poor customer service - kept missing pickups and couldn’t ever get a hold of them. Once they came another day for the missed pickup but the third time it happened they screamed at us on the phone for requesting makeup for a missed pickup. We got so fed up with missed pickups and being treated poorly we bought out our contract. (Yes, they still made us pay even after dealing with repeated missed pickups and either not answering the phone or being yelled at). We have been using Whitetail since and have had a great experience - less expensive, haven’t missed any pickups (and they text if there is an issue) no locked contracts, and great customer service (including answering when you call them). Would highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs even if it means paying more.

Impossible to get a hold of. Called almost every day for 2.5 weeks multiple times a day with no answer. Trash was stated it would. Be picked up one day for the holidays but wasn’t. Left a message and no call back. Also left a message weeks prior to get a price on picking up a larger trash item, with no call back. Left a note about my confusion for my collector and he took an extra bin in for the missed one. Just hoping I don’t see an unexpected charge. They come 95% of the time they are supposed to, but unfortunately the customer service makes this extremely frustrating. They do have good prices, and I do appreciate their service. If their communication were to improved and the ability to get a hold of them were to be much easier I would gives them a better rating as I only seem to have issues around holidays.

Never had a problem with their service. Don’t quite understand the complaints about lids blowing away due to weather conditions, or not picking up garbage on New Year’s Day when they operate 6 days a week, 12 months a year. . I’d rather support a local, family run business in our area.

Family-owned business that thinks small and treats their customers as if they were smaller. By rights, they shouldn’t call themselves ‘Reiss Hauling and Recycling,’ as they have disabled recycling on many routes without informing their customers. Both receptionist and owner had no consideration or reason for terminating recycling without advising customers. Was told that recycling was a courtesy and not part of the paid service. When I called at the end of quarter to verify if recycling would resume, was informed that my service was cancelled, which I did NOT request. Company embodies the phrase, "Good riddance to bad rubbish."

It's sad, but after 20 years as a customer, I have to cut ties with Reiss. They used to be good when the brothers owned the business, but for years now, it's been trash blowing around the yard and broken glass in the street. The last straw was that they lost my trash can lid and would not replace it. When I canceled, I requested a refund, but they refused. They kept $60 of my money. If they treat me this way, they will treat you the same way too.

Great customer service and fast response to suggestions! I have used Reiss for over two years now. I had my trash can replaced. The replacement fee is very reasonable. Customer service is always helpful, although it may take upto a day to back to you. It is a leaner operation comparing to other large waste companies. They always pick up trash at the scheduled day. If missed they would come back to pick up the trash as soon as they could.

Have used Reiss Bros. for over 24 years and have NEVER had a problem. Always polite drivers and their prices are very fair and the office staff is very helpful. I have had them pick up furniture pieces, appliances, etc. and just love their service.

I live on Viola Lane, Hellertown. Reiss Brothers doesn't have a website. At least to know the pick up schedule or email notification for unscheduled pick ups. Yesterday, Sat, 12/28/13, the collection occur after 7 pm. I already put back my garbage. Unacceptable! Reiss Brothers will not collect on The New Year’s day, Wed? Most likely not. I will carry out my garbage to New Year! Happy New Year!
