The check-in and weighing process was incredibly fast. The staff was professional and made the whole thing simple. On top of that, their prices are very competitive. I was in and out in no time with a great return. Excellent service all around!

I have no complaints! The teller was very sweet to me today. I'm not sure why I bumped 1 star. That must've happened while my phone was in my pocket after GPS asked me a question about e Schneider I put the phone in my pocket.
You guys are actually the only scrap yard that I would go to! No hate from me!

I've gone here many times over the years with various things with things from cans to water heaters. No issues with the yard/warehouse workers. Those in the office have always been nice and helpful.
My sole complaint is their terrible schedule. BANKS HAVE BETTER HOURS! You won't stay open later than 4pm for even one day a week?! WHY???
BAD SCALE ripped me off. I brought at least 25-30 pounds of copper. 8 pipes that were AT LEAST 3 pounds each and 3 of them were 5 pounds or more. Only got $40 bucks and they claimed it was 10 pounds. Never go here all scammers and rude people.
Some employees rob you off, watch your receipt! !!!!! The weight of tare is manual input and sometimes they put tare weight after they take it off the scale and then add tare weight to the next round of weighing. Workers on the floor do not know difference between certain types of scrap and it deducts some money off. Maybe for some people its not important to loose few pounds on scale or 30-40 cents per pound, but when you carefully sort materials to get most payout cause you need it, it matters and besides - it is not right . Most of employees do not know type of scrap and need to be educated by employer on how to distinguish between red and yellow brass or what insulated copper is. Hit or miss every visit, like a flip of a coin. Arguments are pointless cause they all rude there except girls in the office, who knows about metals more than workers on the floor. Owner looks like he/she answered most of the latest reviews but instead should've pay more attention on fixing the issue and not excusing employees and explaining that "we did try to get in touch with you on Facebook ", just not everyone who goes to scrap metal is using Facebook on regular basis. Whats good of a picture of receipt when its being manipulated by employees in front of you, why dont you share a video/pictures which you record of your employees weighing my scrap, then we will see who was right. Still better than eastern metals around corner but upsetting that this place going down in service not up.
The employees from here told me they where gonna help me take a motor out of a fridge. And instead broke one of my trucks windows. The owner was rude and laugh about it and did not respond for it.He try calling me a liar but never confronted the employes that told me they where gonna help me take the motor out. Not good doing business with people like that. The employee on the pic is the one in the machine who dont know how to use it and i told him not to take it out like that and he procced to do it anyways. And then say he wasnt responsible for it. And after all that they didnt want to take the fridge. And say they where not gonna pay for nothing.

GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!!! First time and last time I will ever go there. Before I went there,I called to ask what they were paying per pound for aluminum cans. I was told .45 cents per pound. I went there was treated very nice. After I had loaded 2 55 gallon bags of crush cans into the hopper, they realized that the machine was broken. This was after I had waited 45 minutes from the previous customer. One of the workers and I unloaded the 2 bags of crushed cans. They told me to bring the bags around to the front of the building where I could unload the bags into a rolling hopper, so I could get paid for my 11 bags of crushed cans. The worker weighed the empty hopper to know the empty weight. The I proceeded to empty all 11 bags into the hopper, which ended up being filled. The gentleman handed me the receipt and I went up to the window to get paid. After 1-1/2 hours!!!!! The cashier handed me cash, that I stuck in my pocket. When I got home, I took the cash out of my pocket and counted $68 and some change. Based on the dollar amount, that means that I had o lying 151 pounds. At my house, I had a half empty 55 gallon bag with crushed cans. I weighed it to see that, maybe I was getting weak or something. The half empty bag weighed 14 pounds. That means, that the 11 bags that I had turned in weighed at least 275 pounds. And that's 25 pounds per bag. Its my fault because I never got a receipt to check what they paid me. But they totally RIPPED ME OFF!!!!! I should have gotten at least $120.
Went very good today in n out matter of minutes very helpful employees crane operator a big Thanks unloaded me in one grab stocking up for my next visit. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL SCHNEIDER EMPLOYEES
bad scale, my review is of 2 months ago but my visit wasn't. I have to make this clear since the owner believes reviews have to be posted at the same time of visit. listen your scale is shot and you rip folks off we all know this now so whether i was there 2 months ago or not doesn't change the scammer and his old tricks that scale probably belonged to jesus himself. and though you say it was closed it was very much opened i remember now we brought in cast iron heaters . when we pulled up to the scale it said 2700 pounds my friend steps out to hand ya his i.d. and the scale said he wieghed about 90 pounds though he is clearly a man who weighs over 150 pounds. i even took copper there once and was paid a whole different price than what you advertised. many times not only i but others aswell have been ripped off? you can reply ignorantly but won't fix your bad business, which says alot about you and thia place.
Great place to sell your scrap metal. They pay the highest prices in the area. The employees are awesome- they are always ready and willing to help you. They will let you know what type of metal you have and what different types are worth. The guys in the warehouse lift your cart onto their scale and they take the items off and put them into the area they belong as they weigh your non ferrous metal and enter the info into the computer. Ladies in scale house are always friendly and work quickly to get you paid. Always a good experience, employees are respectful, pleasant and professional.
I brought in a set of 20 inch chrome wheels and they only offered $30 bucks. I took it to 13 street and they offered me $42 bucks. That is a big difference. I believe this place is a total rip off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. You get zero stars from me.
Beware! The one lady that is there scams you she say you owe them money then they take all your money i really needed it for gas now im stuck on the highway with no gas waiting for triple aaa to come pretty lousy thing she did so watch yourselves if you do not want to be scammed i will never be going back there again you are WARNED
I've been going to E Schneider & Sons to scrap aluminum, copper, brass, batteries, etc for the past 9 years or so and I've never gotten ripped off. I was always treated great by the employees and I know when I have some scrap to get rid of I can rely on Schneider & Sons to take care of me.
