I bought a car off Mr. Gillette in 2019. He is the only person who has ever serviced it and it is still running strong. If I ever needed it repaired or serviced , they got me right in. In a world where finding an auto body shop/ car salesman that operates with integrity, finding Gillettes Import Autowerks was like striking gold. I would very highly recommend it to anyone who needs a repair on a foreign vehicle or is in the market for one. What a relief it is to know that if I have a problem with my vehicle, I'm taking it to someone who I can trust.
THE shop for our area to take your imports, they definitely stand by their work even if there's issues. I had my head gasket replaced, and after getting everything worked out, my car drives better than the day i bought it. Super thankful for these guys and will be using them from now on ☺️

I sent my car in for a timing belt, got it back and it blew up 3 days later. Then I decided to have them put a used motor in, not only does it leak oil all the time now, but it came back with a broken windshield that they said never happened there. Good luck if you take anything there.
Sometime in January/feb our transmission gave way on our suzuki kizashi awd 2011. All known transmission companies in NJ told me I had to replace the entire unit with a used one from a salvage. Prices were sky high on this 8k around there might as well tossed the car out. Then I joined suzuki kizashi forum which I met the owner of this mechanic shop, he gave me some figures which was affordable with his vast knowledge of this particular car and told me I don’t have to replace the transmission. I hauled it down to PA to him and it was repaired in 2-3 days. I then hauled it back to NJ and to today the car has been running brand new still !! He is a wizard

5 stars on the work they did on my vehicle and 5 again for customer service, even a year and a half after my repairs they were able to help me out with information from the engine replacement.
I have been going here for years for repairs that were both minor and major. They are always professional and thourogh. Everyone there, whether it is the receptionist or a mechanic, have always been very friendly and they have taken the time to explain what is wrong with my car and the options available to fix it. They are resonably priced as well. I have recomended them many times to people that I know and some of those people are now loyal customers as well.
I'm so glad I was referred to Gillette Import Autowerks. They were simply wonderful. They were professional and the price was right. A good mechanic is worth their weight in gold. This place is golden.
They found an idle problem within hours on my Toyota that I had been trying to fix myself for months. They have the experience necessary to fix stuff quickly, and charge fair prices. I usually do my own work, but when I'm stuck - I take it to Tim, Henry, and the boys at Gillette Import Autowerks.
My check engine light came on in my Toyota Rav, I really didn’t want to take it to a dealer because I figured it would cost me an arm and a leg. A friend of mine told me about Gillette Import Autowerks, so I gave them a call, Henry said just stop out and they would scan it. So I popped out, they ran a scan on my car, replaced a coil and I was on my way, and I still have my arm and leg!!! Fast and very reasonable!! I highly recommend them!!!
My go-to mechanics for Toyota's when I lived in PA. Now that I live in FL, I still call them for service advice from time to time and Henry is always willing to share his expertise. I highly recommend these guys!

While waiting for my Volvo to be repaired, my 94 Toyota quit. Recognizing that I needed one of these vehicles to be running, Gillette quickly made the required repairs to my truck and returned it to me.

This is the only place I will take my non-domestic vehicles. Gillette Autowerks is a place I trust completely. They do fantastic work! If they were to close shop I'd probably start buying domestic vehicles rather than find another mechanic that works on Japanese cars, as I would simply be disappointed by everyone else.
I will never again take a vehicle to Gillette. I had some issues with my 84 Toyota. I called around to shops in the Meadville area. I spoke with Tim Gillette and he informed me that he is extremely knowledgable on Toyotas, even older models, and said he could definitely work on my vehicle. Unfortunately he had a full schedule and wasn't able to book an appointment for my vehicle at his shop until a week later. My appointment was for a Thursday and I dropped my vehicle off at the shop on Wednesday night. I called Thursday at the close of business and they hadn't even got my vehicle up on the rack. I called on Friday and they had to order parts, which wouldn't be in until Saturday. I called on Saturday and they ordered the wrong parts. This situation continued several more days. Tim finally ordered the correct parts on Monday. I wasn't able to pick my vehicle up until Wednesday, six days after my appointment. My bill was nearly $1,000, with 3/4 of the bill being labor. I feel the high labor cost is because Tim chose to rebuild certain parts (brake calipers) instead of simply purchasing new ones, which would have cost less. I strongly feel Tim wasted both my time and my money. Tim and his staff are extremely pleasant so I thought I was in good hands. However, I'm confident I would have paid less and had my vehicle done much faster if I had taken it some place else.
Tim has a long history with Toyota as a mechanic and now owns his own repair facility. I can not recommend Tim highly enough. He is honest, trustowrthy and fair. His prices are reasonable and he does the job right *the first time.*
