Very good experience with this place. I found what I needed on-line, I called and requested the parts, and everything was ready for me to pick up. Worth the drive all the way from Ontario!
Online an alternator for my car goes for about 400 dollars, they had one in stock ready to go out the door for 30 dollars. They had the fix for my car and I didn’t have to break my wallets hopes and dreams to get it. Fast, and reliable. Definitely will be back if I need more parts!
I order hundreds of used parts monthly and i have to say community auto is probably one of the fastest shipping and honest salvage yards i have the pleasure of dealing with.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Three (different) times I have called this place to get a part, and they say yes they have it . I’ve been on my way to get said part right after getting off the phone with them, twice and then they call me and tell me they don’t have it all of a sudden.or Drive all the way there and they don’t have it.. a part that they said they had multiple of and apparently, all of them sold in five minutes!?! They have told me to come back in an hour they gotta pull it and then they call you and say oh we don’t have it anymore… What kind of business doesn’t know what they have and what they don’t have . Get it together ! They quote you a price over the phone and when you get there, they tell you it’s more. Very shady business. If you’re not selling parts, what are you selling exactly!?! Maybe that’s a question for the Better Business Bureau?!!!!
Picked up a bumper cover and taillight. They drove us through their lot, and we were able to locate a bumper cover that was almost an exact match. They were quick removing it from the vehicle it was on, and they already had the taillight on a shelf. I was very pleased with their knowledge and professionalism.
Dude answering phone knows nothing. Subaru legacy’s are pretty universal when it comes to parts between 05-09. They have a door handle listed and mufflers for other years and says they won’t work. But says a rear view mirror will. Please fire that idiot. If you don’t know cars then don’t work there.
Super nice guys! Part I needed was cheapest around. A1 wanted $60 and jays wanted 50. Got it for 37. So thankful. And update- I called again and their prices were a bit cheaper. So again I really appreciate your kindness guys. Times are hard and your willingness to not shaft ppl is appreciated
Ordered my transmission through messenger on Facebook. They were quick to respond, very professional overall happy with my product. Was nervous about ordering out of state, but they took good care of my car part.

I just called here to see if they had a part for my car, and before he even asked me any questions further. He just said “We don’t have it. Okay thank you.” And hung up the phone. Poor communication.. and bad customer service. No further in-depth questions about my vehicle. Just a simple “we don’t have it”.
Got an alternator from this place my first experience was good I called they held it for almost a week till I could get out there and get it I paid only $35+ core charge but it only lasted 6 weeks exactly before it died all over again. Went to buy the 2nd one (that I'd also pay for since it was past the 30 days) called them they said they had it to come on in. Took a $40 Uber there to get it and they couldn't find it once I got there so they promised to deliver one out of another vehicle the very next morning. Next morning they called and told me they were wrong they don't have another vehicle with that alternator so theystill didn't have it but if I wanted to pay another $60 they could get one delivered from there vendor. They do have the lowest prices but I'd have gladly paid a little more for an alternator that lasted more than 6 weeks cuz now my trucks broke down I'm out the $35 I paid plus a working alternator and the $40 I paid the uber to go get the one they never had! Unfortunately I had no choice but to find one somewhere else and I'll never use them again...
Great place, great staff. I spoke to Joe, I needed a full antenna assembly for my Infiniti G20. I ordered the part May 31 and with FedEx Shipping and it arrived quickly today June 2 from PA to Toronto Canada!
The price was amazing and I installed the antenna and it works without any issue. It was well protected when packaged in the box no damage at all.
One of the rare places that offers shipping to Canada which helped me out a lot. And locally here in Canada the price of the same used part was almost 3 times more!

Very friendly! Always have a part we need! Amazing prices! The guy that runs the desk answers the phones, helps everyone, he is very good with customer service! He carried my parts out for me! The people pulling the parts never take more than an hour or so! What a great place to have in town!
They had the part we needed for way less than what the dealership was selling it for. Shipping took a little bit of time which was completely understandable since it was going from Erie to Ontario, Canada. When my husband called to find out what was going on they called the courier and took care of everything. Really appreciate the great service!

After sliding and breaking the rim to my 2004 Toyota Sequoia they were the only ones in town with the rim I needed and waited around 30 minutes which at the end of the day I didn't mind. I was charged 48 but ended giving them like 57 because I was gracious to be back on the road and will definitely be back.
Great place....always friendly....good used parts....I'd give a 5 star if they always had everything you needed but, that's not possible..other than that, BEST used auto parts in this area.
Need bumper for inspection. Mechanic located one here. . hundred bucks plus tax. It won't pass inspection either. They knowingly and willingly sold junk. Tried to return. Only store credit. I paid with debit like cash. What am I to do with $100 store credit to a junkyard? Tried to blame my mechanic for lack of knowledge! Tried to salvage. Welder says $150+. No guarantee! Sold junk. I am out my hard earned cash. Still no bumper for inspection! Don't recommend this place.
The most honest junk yard/used parts facility in the area I have dealt with. Quick to pull parts when you need them, and fair priced. Great about doing repair work as well. Definitely recommend giving Community Auto a call if you're looking for parts
Ordered a part and was told they would deliver it to the garage doing the work. Part was never delivered but credit card charge remained! Called to cancel the order and was charged a 20% restocking fee and an additional $10.00 for shipping. So it takes 20% for someone to pick up a small box and put it on a shelf!!! OUTRAGEOUS AND ABSURD. WOULD NOT recommend Community Auto Recycling to my worst enemy!!!
What a Rip-Off. I ordered a door handle and told the guy exactly what color I needed. He (Jason) ships the wrong color (apparently all reds are the same to them. Hint: Candy apple and Maroon are much different), when I call him he tells me the boss said I could return it but they don't refund shipping. So I'm supposed to cover the $40 shipping on a $25 part that has to be returned due to YOUR ERROR? Also listed the part as 'A' grade, the part they sent was all scuffed and scratched up, needed to be painted. AVOID THESE PEOPLE.
I've always had a good experience here. Read some bad reviews. Let's be realistic, you're buying parts from a salvage yard. They don't ask the former owners to get into accidents that cater to YOUR parts needs. They get salvage cars and strip parts off. That's the risk you take buying salvage parts. Also, they don't have a heated garage for each one of their salvage cars, despite what you may believe. It rains and snow in Erie. That's why you pay $20 for a $180 part, or $600 for a $2500 part, etc. I've been buying parts here for at least 10 years, and have never been disappointed. They sold me a transmission that worked perfectly, and they installed it for considerably less than a garage. Saved me a wad of cash.
Order a transmission from them they send it and the 5th gear is almost falling off the shaft. the transmission is junk not even a good core. So the bill was 400.00 and left me paying the shipping of $250.00 in my opinion that is not good business practices. Will not recommend doing business with them. I would have been happy if they split the shipping cost but they sold me a bad transmission and that is on them.
