John, the tech, came to me cursing nonstop, to the point where another coworker had to tell him to watch his mouth. He added a $20 charge for a rotation I never requested and then refused to remove it, saying he “wasn’t changing anything” while cursing!Absolutely unacceptable behavior. I asked for a manager and was told there is no manager on-site. Very concerning. My fiancée also had a terrible experience here. She came for an oil change with her lifetime tire rotation warranty. She requested Mobil 1, even reminded them the day before, and they still couldn’t tell us what oil they put in her car — they said “probably Castrol,” because the tech left for the day without entering anything in the system. She waited over 2 hours in the lobby and nobody even told her the job was done. They also claimed over the phone that her tire rotation was completed — it wasn’t. Not touched at all. When confronted, they offered for her to come back the next day. Next day we bring it in, and they tell us the lug nuts were too tight and she should “go somewhere else” or buy a tool to remove them herself — even though Walmart were the ones who last installed the tires! This team clearly has no idea what they’re doing. It makes sense why this location is always the only one with same-day or next-day appointments — everyone avoids this place. They don’t communicate, they don’t document anything, and they don’t care about customer safety or honesty. Save yourself the headache and go to another Walmart Auto Care Center — Elkton and New Castle are far more reliable. I will never trust this location again.

If I could give zero, I would. I’ve never experienced an Auto Center as unprofessional as this Walmart. The staff was incredibly rude, refused to help, and clearly had no idea what they were doing. I called about tires I already purchased online, gave them my order number multiple times, and they still claimed they “couldn’t find anything”—but also refused to actually look it up properly. Then the employee hung up on me. When I asked for a manager, it somehow got worse. She was dismissive, refused to even attempt to look up my order, and told me I “had to do it online,” even after I explained the online system wasn’t working. She said I had to “wait for the tires to arrive before they can release the appointment,” which is completely backwards because I can’t pick up tires without the appointment. The hostility and incompetence were unreal. I left the call with zero help, zero professionalism, and the strong impression that nobody in this Auto Center has been trained—or even cares. Corporate needs to investigate this location immediately, because the behavior I dealt with is unacceptable for any business, let alone a national retailer. Avoid this Auto Center if you value your time, money, or sanity. --- Want it more biting? Shorter?

THEY WILLL DESTROY YOUR CAR IF YOU GO THERE FOR SERVICE. Terrible service. They destroyed my daughter's car when she brought it in for an oil change. I dealt with numerous people but got no where. Started with Coach Jen in Parkesburg ((yep, really her name), Doug McMillon (CEO), Kimberly Friend, Ian Anderson, Scott Abbott and a few others. All were aggressive and pretty rude about taking no responsibility for the engine being destroyed. They just insisted it was an older car even though the car broke down about a mile after leaving the store. No compassion, no responsibility, no caring. Not a place you want to go to do business!!

Great experience, even when there was a mixup with the online order of tires being received. The employee at the tire center was outstanding and figured out the issue, made arrangements to have them installed and was very professional. He had great communication skills as well. I believe his name was Shaik, thank you!

My daughter brought her car to the Parkesburg Walmart for a simple oil change. The car was inspected a week prior and everything was fine. We did put on new brake pads at the inspection which cost $1700. She picked up the car and a few miles down the road the car broke down. The engine had rod knock and stopped running so she pulled off the road. Walmart has claimed they're not responsible. First they argued that she was never at their shop but she had the receipt. I contacted the CEO several times and was called back by different customer reps. All denied any responsibility on the part of Walmart. We had to purchase a new car as the car they fixed was totaled. Dear Management, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of service and professionalism I have experienced with your garage over the past two weeks. Specifically, I am extremely frustrated by the repeated cancellation of my appointments — not once, but twice, on two consecutive weeks. On both occasions, I made arrangements to bring my vehicle in for service, setting aside time from my own schedule. Each time, the appointment was abruptly canceled by your team with little notice and no consideration for the inconvenience it caused. This kind of repeated behavior clearly shows a lack of respect for your customers' time and commitments. It is particularly disappointing that this issue has occurred twice in a row, indicating a concerning lack of organization and accountability in your scheduling process. More troubling, however, is the attitude reflected by management. There appears to be no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, nor any effort made to accommodate or compensate for the disruption. This gives the impression that customer time and satisfaction are not valued by your business. As a paying customer, I expect reliability, courtesy, and respect. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen well below those expectations. I urge you to take this feedback seriously and address the flaws in your scheduling and customer service practices. I hope you will respond promptly and take meaningful steps to improve your approach going forward. Especially since it’s coming from a repeated (years!) customer.

Will never go and get my oil changed here. My brother in law just got back from getting his oil changed and proceeded to tell us that the mechanics that worked on his vehicle failed to put his undercarriage back on. My brother in law realized as he was on 30 bypass so he called to tell them and they tell him to bring it in and they will fix it. As they are putting the undercarriage back on that the FAILED to put back in the first place they proceeded to laugh at my brother in law. The only one who was remotely helpful was John, everyone else was highly disrespectful.

Go to a different auto shop. Had to have family help me get answers and talk to the department manager because someone in the department had a freak out over personal issues with their kid. Leave your stuff at home, grown men. It’s embarrassing to flip out on young female customers because your emotions can’t stay in line. Go to Andews auto. Family oriented. Sweet. Will always help out and won’t ever get an attitude or treat you poorly.

My husband came to get his tire changed. They changed the tire and put the spare tire in the back of the car instead of a Trunk. They the guy was on a personal calls why they were doing this. Then he went back for an oil change and he was still on a phone. Taking personal calls I thought when you're working. You're not supposed to take personal calls. We will not be going back to Walmart automotive care anymore. They don't know what they're doing. They told him he had a lifetime guarantee on tires. Then, when my husband came back for oil change, they were rude and disrespectful. Still taking personal calls that is not somewhere you wanna actually have somebody change your tie or your oil. They need to get somebody in there who knows what they're doing.

Says they don't close until 7pm, but every single time I show up around 4/5pm the door is locked and I have to go through the front of the store to get to the auto department only for someone to say "they left early because there was nothing going on". Absolutely no reason to have a closing time if it means nothing. If you're in a rush, don't waste your time coming to this location. Parkersburg

Today I had found a nail in my tire & the manager Bruce went above and beyond just doing the repair. He suggested things I could do to mend it between now and when I have to replace my tires and sold me a tire plug kit. He was kind enough to help me with it too. I was really well cared for by both Bruce and his partner there today. They gave excellent customer service to me today and I appreciated their knowledge and attentiveness to my issue.

The guy that was there in auto told me he couldn't help us when it was 540pm all I needed was a tire change because it blew out and if you have children you know it's serious. Lazy people. His excuse was his manager said he had to clock out early. Is that true? I highly doubt it. Then he was outside on his phone for 20 minutes walking back and forth talking to someone complaining about us like that's not perfessional at all!!! Ignorant!!!

Needed two new front tires. Worked with Zac who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Checked my back tires too and moved tires so they took the 2 worst ones and put the 2 new ones on the back. Recognized the way the tire was wearing and recommended an alignment even though they do not do that service. In and out in 30 minutes on a Sunday morning and all of the staff in the garage were personable and helpful.

Went to Walmart to get a tire replaced on my car and didn't have an appointment, the attendant working was able to fit me in, in a some what timely manner considering he was by himself for about an hour and a half after I showed up. And once other employees show to assist him my car was done in no time. These guys do a good job.

No one works here has a clue what time they open! Was told three different times! So here I sit waiting another hour ! Get it together. Online says 7 , definitely doesn't open til 9 on Sundays!

Do not even waste your time going there… Bruce in tires obviously only wants to sit around and do absolutely nothing… He is one of the most laziest people I have ever met trying to give me excuses on why he can’t put on any tire on my car and that I have to wait and call in even though there are no one in any of the garages… Bruce is the number one reason why I will no longer use Walmart for my tires… what an awful worker and such a poor excuse for a Walmart employee…

Was not too busy on a Monday morning. They put a tire on my rim fast and the tech let me know the tire wear was uneven and I should look at getting an alignment. I knew that already, but it's good they tell people that. Tire was inexpensive and the mount and balance was only 17.50

They have lazy people in charge. If the shop closes more than an hour from the time I only want an oil change. There's no reason it should not happen. Especially since there was only one car there. They suck. Integrity means something to some people.

Long wait today got a oil change for free for compensation. People gotta understand that when you go in there EXPECT to wait a long time. Remember, YOU didn't make an appointment at a regular car shop so you gotta wait. Piss me off to see people get irate about it

There was only one person working there, (which is an OSHA violation I believe). That associate had gone to lunch, and someone was covering that doesn't work in that department. He told us that he was going to lunch and couldn't help us. The guy that did work there came back, and told us that he couldn't help us either because he was too busy. We had to go talk to the store manager to get some help. All in all, a poor example of customer service.

Be nice if they were open when they say they will be. Came 3 times. Once on Friday and guy said they're closing early, I asked when they will be open later, he said Tuesday, here I am Tuesday and they're closed. At Hershey motors now. They got me right in for my overdue oil change thanks to Walmart's ineptitude.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a battery for my car thinking they would install it for free because their website claims they will. I unknowingly bought the incorrect battery, they told me they could not install it. I went to a friend to install and they told me it was the wrong one and I didn’t in fact need a battery. I went back to return it and they tell me they can not take returns if it’s been over 24 hours. It doesn’t state that on the receipt, just a piece of paper near where the batteries are sold. So now they get me for another battery that’s more money and not what I wanted. Terrible customer service. If they had been clear and actually helped me the first time I came, this would not have happened. Terrible service. I will never shop here again.

Not a bad set of guys , 1 or 2 will stand out as helpful and the others tend to keep busy I assume any downtime as waiting for fluid to drain perhaps. Just gotta argue a bit on wheel weighting and my meticulous observations as I service my own vehicle and rotate my own tires. .. More the 4 weights per tire *per service interval* is a bit extraordinary and can lead to unbalancing if a weight falls off. my last service in july 2018 left me with 11 weights on 1 wheel..

Sometime very quick other times very slow. Last time in and out in 20 min, time before I left as it was an hour wait with no cars in the oil change line. I just come in for oil changes. So its hit or miss. I don't mind as I am 5 min away and can just go home.

I ordered my tires online and shipped to the store. Once they arrived I had them installed. I was supprised at some of the negative riviews that I read and I almost didn't get them installed here. I took the chance and went on a Wednesday afternoon. Three hours later I had new tires and was happy. I didn't care if the workers took their time since I want them to do a good job and they did. The workers were nice and friendly. Just bring a book or something to keep the boredom away.

I gave them a second chance today, and surprisingly they fixed my flat tire for $10 in 30 minutes. No appointment was necessary and they started right away. They were fast and cheap, nothing can beat that.

On a mild February Super Bowl Sunday I decided it would be a good idea to wash our cars. While doing so, somehow I hit the valve stem on one of my wife's tires and broke it. I thought to myself... Great, where am I going to be able to get this fixed at 4:30 on Super Bowl Sunday?!? The only places I could find open were Walmart and Pepboys in Lancaster. Walmart was closer so I gave them a call. I spoke with the manager on the phone and he told me to bring the tire in and he would do it right away. By the time I got to Walmart he had gotten 4 more jobs ahead of me that he said would take hours. He remembered speaking to me on the phone and took my tire right away. He was true to his word. I had my tire fixed and was back on the road in about 15 minutes!

Sign says please wait for attendant, 15 minutes of waiting no attendant has shown. Can clearly see 3 people in garage as hot day and all doors are open... only one car.... go into customer area no one at counter, walk further into store have to get person from behind gun counter to check me in...30 minutes later car still outside... still 3 guys one car in garage with 4 bays, told it will be 30 minutes...one hour after arriving suv brought into bay...55 minutes after being told 30 minutes still waiting.... all told 2 hours and 20 minutes for an oil change... pity the 4 people who came after me...
