Last year I took my vehicle here for my yearly inspection. Everything went smoothly, no problems, very nice staff and communication was in place. This year I take my vehicle in for the same thing. They called me around 2-3 in the afternoon on a Friday telling me what is wrong with my vehicle. I needed a ball joint replaced and an alignment. It also was mentioned that they recommend rear brakes and rotors soon. Was told they might have to keep it to get the part and I told them I can’t do that because I have to work. Went in and was charged for my failed inspection. My husband also took his vehicle in months before me. He failed as well and had to bring it back for over $1000 worth of work to be done on it. Was not charged a cent for his failed inspection. I don’t understand that but whatever. Rescheduled for a couple weeks later. The week of I realized I purchased and still pay for a warranty on my vehicle. The work that needed done would fully be covered with my warranty I would just have to pay the deductible and for the inspection of course. So I called twice that week. Once to give them the warranty number to have them call and run everything through to see if it would be approved. I already knew it would be they just had to do it on their end. The gentleman that took the number wasn’t the kindest person I’ve ever talked to but I just wanted them to call and get my vehicle fixed. I called a couple days later and spoke with Jackie. Who has been very nice every encounter. She told me they didn’t get a chance to call because they have been extremely busy. Which I understand but at the end of the day I’m also a paying customer. I asked if whether she got the chance to call or not to please call me back and let me know. I never got a call back from anyone about anything. No communication in place this time whatsoever. So I decided to not try with them anymore and go somewhere else. Took it to where I got it which is pretty far and of course ball joint and alignment need done. But to my knowledge sarver recommended rear brakes and rotors soon. Didn’t tell me they were completely split and needed replaced now. There is no way they could’ve just split the way they did in that amount of time. Especially when I don’t even drive that long or hit my brakes hard going anywhere. My brakes were so bad in the rear they could’ve gone out. But here is the kicker that really surprised me. All the hardware for my front breaks and rotors were there, but not put back correctly. Sarver was the last to touch my vehicle at this point. I was told I could’ve got into an accident if I hadn’t brought my vehicle in when I did. So I’m very thankful I myself, my husband and our child did not get into an accident because sarver was to careless to put my stuff where it needs to go. Also careless to not tell me my rears needed done right then and there. I really appreciate everything you did for my last year inspection. I know everyone has different experiences. But after this past one I don’t think I can take my vehicle here again especially if I don’t get the full story and when my families lives could be at risk.
Great family owned business! I've been taking my vehicles here for quite awhile now, great work, fast, just honest people. Very fairly priced! I would recommend anybody and everybody to get there vehicle worked on here!
My car needed a new starter so I called on Monday and spoke with Jackie. She did not promise me they could get to it this week due to how busy they were, but they would try if I got the car to the shop. I got the car to them at about 3 pm. The next day, I received a call that my car was already in the shop getting looked at and they noticed I was in need of an oil change as well so they did that as well. I cannot express the gratitude I have for the quick turnaround and the reasonable cost for the fix. Thank you!
Let me first say that I do understand that a new rollback costs a $150,000 or more and towing insurance is very expensive. In my past experiences (13 years ago) they were great. Never again will I trust Sarver automotive or the Buchanan family nor will I recommend them for any sorts of towing. I understand everyone needs to make a living but the towing of my moms vehicle and me asking to politely have it be towed to another facility maybe 6 miles beyond their facility on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 is completely unacceptable to be told it has to wait until Monday??? If I was asking it to be towed 2 hrs. Away that’s one thing. But 6 miles knowing your getting paid for it regardless? Then I call to have it removed the following business day to be told the outstanding amount is already $1560?? There is absolutely nothing right or fair about this. Even if it was ordered by the state police, YOU work for us at that point because that’s where your paycheck is coming from.
It's tough finding ANY business that is fair and honest. I like this place because they've proven they are both. Good diagnosis of problems and cost up front. Try this place, they are good!
Just had my car towed by them. The driver arrived quickly and was polite and competent, and the price was extremely reasonable! Nobody wants their car towed, but if you have to get it towed I would highly recommend Sarver Automotive & Performance.
Great local repair shop. The staff is friendly and courteous and the service has been excellent. Very fair pricing and you never feel like you are getting scammed for unnecessary work.
I walked in at 4:45p on a Friday in need of some serious help. Mower stuck in the mud and the attempted recovery caused my truck to also get stuck. These guys couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They closed up the shop and 5 minutes later came to my home, towed both out and Brandon said 'welcome to the neighborhood, you had a tough day and this one is on us.' Having recently moved to the area I couldn't believe the generosity and hospitality and I'm thankful they were there to lend a hand. First class operation and people, highly recommend.
I had gone to a few different place to try to get my chevy cruze diagnosed and wasted so much time and money. Until I came here!!! They stuck to the price they gave me and actually figured out the problem and fixed it!!! I am beyond grateful 🙏 I would 100% recommend these guys 😀
I just wanted to update my review. These guys continue to impress. I had an issue with the aftermarket catalytic convertor.
(Brandon warned me it could happen). The folks at Sarver took care of it and handled the warranty issue. They fronted the cost of the replacement for me and got the part covered. Once again, I couldn't be happier and this is the only repair shop I'll use.
This is the most honest and trustworthy repair shop I have ever dealt with. I had a major loss of power which turned out to be the catalytic converter. The technician (Brendan or Brandon) called me and presented all options and did not try to up-sell me on anything. I was certain I needed new brakes as well but he told me I didn't and that he could simply lube the caliper pins. I could not be happier with the service or the price. I enthusiastically recommend these guys.
The owner/founder, Brandon is an upstanding guy. He take's a lot of pride in his work and has Great customer service. He helped tow my car, and get me back on the road.
I also came here for an inspection Last November, and they were very honest people. Told me about an issue that needed fixing, then after fixing got me in and out pretty quickly.
Most definitely the BEST towing company I've ever encountered, and I've had my fair share of them. These guys have only charged us a flat towing fee even though it was stored on they're lot for 2 days, and plus the towing. It was a joy to deal with these men, and if they would of asked for more then the little bit of money that they charged, we would of gladly paid it.
Was visiting family when washer fluid stopped working. Snow and slush and salt on roads. Windshield washer pump replaced next day sevice (to get part) allowing me to get back home. Friendly prompt service. Thank you!
This is the most honest place ever. I thought I needed new brakes after I heard some squeaking in the morning so I scheduled an appointment with them. They got to my brakes pads and realized they were fine and called me and told me that I didn't even need brakes, it's probably just from moisture build-up on the rotors overnight causing the noises.
They could've easily just did my brake pads and charged me and I wouldn't have known at all and the fact that they were honest enough to call and tell me I didn't need the service was so amazing, I had to give them a great review. Would recommend this place for everyone!
I highly recommend Sarver Automotive and Performance to anyone in need of automotive repair. They offer excellent customer service, very reasonable pricing and stand behind their work. They have done a number of repairs for me on several different types of vehicles and I have always been happy with their work.
We just moved to the area. Our Caravan began making an awful noise underneath. We were able to get an appointment within 24 hours. We dropped our van off after hours using the drop box. Sarver Automotive & Performance called the next morning to let us know it was a rusted rotor, which they replaced. Super fast service. Very reasonable, honest and extremely professional!! I hit a deer a few months back. Called another local tow company and waited over an hour. The other company called and said it'd be another hour before they got to me. I called Sarver and they were there within 15 minutes! Very nice driver, Tim I believe. He made sure my friends were there to pick me up before he left with my car. I'll always call them from now on!

Tim Walters freeport school principal had my son's car towed there without telling him cause it broke down in the school lot. Sarver Auto (Buck) gave me a price to fix it and was gonna give my son a break on the tow price, once my son decided to fix it himself (which is good for a young boy) then they gave him a different full price PLUS more. Straight up lied to my face.
Had one of our work vans have a problem with a wheel. Needed a tow over to the garage we use. They were there in no time. Took the time to figure out how to tow our van since it was a weird problem. Took care of us. Will use them company and personal in future.
Has car towed there after an accident. The state police told them to town it to my house as I had towing on my insurance. instead they towed it to their garage and demanded money. They then told me if I wanted it towed to my house it would be $200. I called my insurance and they stated they would take care of it. My insurance informed me that they charged them $350 for the initial tow to their garage and called them back minutes later and charged them an additional $75. Totaling $425. Minded that this was all for a single tow that was about 5 miles. They then told me that to tow it to my house it would be an additional $75. I contacted my insurance and they stated that due to regulations in Pennsylvania tow companies can gouge prices. All in all a supposed tow that was $200. Turned into $425 after I got my insurance involved and they still wanted more from me. I then called Greco's towing and for $50 they picked up my car from these scam artists and towed it to my house. I highly recommend Greco's towing and would never recommend Sarver automotive to anyone. And I know I'll be getting a response from them, just like I did on Facebook telling me to know the facts before bashing them. Well I posted the facts on their Facebook page with an email from my insurance and all of a sudden a week later their Facebook doesn't allow reviews. If asked I'll post the "facts" and "proof" here. There should be regulations on towing so scam artists like Sarver Automotive do not rip people in need off.
Get my car serviced and inspected here. The do great work, reasonably priced and I'm in and out in about an half hour instead of sitting for 2-3 hrs waiting. No 700$ bills here and the car is older now.
He towed my car to the shop after the transmission went out and held it for me for a week while I figured out what to do next. He put in the research for estimates so that I could make the best decision. When i decided to buy a new car and get rid of the old one, he recommended a scrap yard and towed it there for me and took care of everything. I can't tell you how much stress all of that saved me, and I am so grateful for the outstanding service.
Had my car towed when it broke down to this place. The manager found a warranty so the dealership had to fix it for me for free. Had it towed there and then fought with them FOR ME to have them fix it for free(as they should have but they refused for a while) I had never worked with them before. He didn’t know me well. This is just an honest staff with reliable work ethic. I will be using them for any future service I need.
First time there on Monday when my starter went on my car. The staff there were great and I had my car back the day! Today my car was over heating and took my car in and Brandon was a Saint with helping me out! Luckily it was a clamp that was bad and once again I had my car back within a few hours!!!! I really appreciate their honesty and great work. I wanted to have new rotors and brakes put on my truck. Upon inspection, they called to tell me I really didn't need new rotors, just brakes. Not many business's will be honest with you and would leap at a chance to gouge you for money you really didn't need to spend. I will definitely be a return customer. I would highly recommend trying Sarver Automotive before going anywhere else, Thanks again
