I had an outstanding experience with Carstar Quality Auto Body. From start to finish, their work was exceptional—my vehicle looked as good as new, with clear attention to detail and craftsmanship. This was my first experience dealing with car damage that was completely out of my control, so I initially felt unsure and a bit overwhelmed. However, the team at Quality Auto made the entire process much easier with their professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality.

The front desk representative (female)—whose name I unfortunately don’t recall—was especially kind and welcoming. Her tone and demeanor immediately put me at ease and made a stressful situation much more manageable. She truly deserves recognition for her excellent customer service.

The rest of the team did a fantastic job as well. I was very satisfied with the final result of my vehicle, and the quality of the work met my expectations.

Overall, I would confidently recommend Quality Auto to friends and family.

Carstar was very quick, professional, very reasonably priced, and great customer service. I brought my Tesla here for the first time to swap out a battery and they not only replaced it, but fixed a sensor for my windows that has been a pain for over a year now. I will not bring my Tesla anywhere else but here, and highly suggest the same to everyone else.

CarStar did a tremendous job on our car. Their staff is super courteous. The communication was great. The car looks great when we got it back. And it’s even cleaner than when we dropped it off. Thanks so much for your tremendous work and service.

Title: Decent Paint Work, but Very Poor Mechanical Diagnosis and Accountability

I brought my car to this Tesla-certified body shop two months ago because my rear door was damaged in an accident. The paint job they did was actually pretty good, and I appreciate that part.

However, the overall experience was very disappointing.

After they kept my car for almost a month, I picked it up and drove it for a few days, then noticed a loud squeaking noise coming from the suspension area. I went back to the shop, but the owner kept telling me the noise was “normal.” They checked the car for a whole day and still couldn’t find the problem, and they kept pushing the responsibility away. The owner’s son was actually quite helpful, although I forgot his name.

Later, I made an appointment at the official Tesla Service Center. The Tesla technician took one short test drive and immediately identified where the problem was. It was frustrating that a certified body shop couldn’t diagnose something that Tesla found within minutes.

I’m giving them two stars only because the paint work was fine, but their mechanical skills and willingness to take responsibility really need improvement. I hope they can take customer concerns more seriously and improve their diagnostic capability.

I couldn’t have asked for a better shop. They were able to fit me in within a few days and were very accommodating with my schedule. They handled the entire insurance process for me, and my car was completed quickly and efficiently. Their communication was excellent every step of the way, keeping me updated on the progress. When I called with extra questions they were very quick to get the answers. They even repaired a few additional issues that needed attention — at no extra cost — which truly went above and beyond. When I picked up my car, it had been detailed inside and out, which was such a nice surprise. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about the quality of their work. I’m extremely satisfied and highly recommend them!

It is not recommended if you care about the quality of your vehicle. This body shop was referred to me by state farm insurance as a certified by them. The car got back to me on time, but the finish and the quality are poor.
Up on my request at the pickup, I have presented mistakes that they made of level fitting between parts & poor paint job.
After I pointed it all out, I've told that the vehicle is not brand new and their job shouldn't be perfect.
Completely incompetent and unprofessional.
The car has been garage stored for 8 months. I drove only 200 miles. Apparently, 12v battery that has been replaced by them failed.
After contacting them about this matter, the owner of the business said that they don't sell parts and I have to deal with it myself.
So, the conclusion is don't expect from them any respect, quality and any responsibility.

So I hit a done on the expressway and reach out to Certified Tesla Bodyshops looking for windshield replacement estimates…. The first body shop gave me a quote of 2k-2500. Then I contacted CarStar and was given an estimate and when I went in everyone was super professional. Dropped my car off before going to Disney and was updated every step of the way. My car was done before catching my flight home so when I landed I went straight to pick my car up….. Dale was more than exceptional!!! Great work and even cleaned and and buffed my car out the cone had left some paint on my car…. If I ever needed any work done I’d definitely return….. A1 Tesla repair work

I would highly recommend CARSTAR Quality Auto Body Shop to anyone and I mean anyone. I normally don’t write reviews but how can I not especially when they made the process so easy for me and let me break it down when I say easy. Whenever I call they would answer and I mean I called a lot and they were always pleasant. I even needed a rental and they even set that up for me and I had my five year old with me and we know how impatient kids can be they were even great with him. I drop my car off and about a week later they were on my line telling me it’s ready oh yeah before I go they even send out text message that let you know how the progress is going with your vehicle and it has the break down of the price and everything. Ok ladies and gents that is all don’t be scare just give them call.

Customer service was excellent. The communication was great with text updates all along the way for the 5 weeks they had my car. The process of getting and returning my rental car was seamless, which thr autobody shop coordinated for me. My car looks amazing and the company staff were all very nice, accommodating and professional. 5 stars for sure!

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!
I gave my car to the shop on Jan 28. The car was not finished until March 4th. I had a small bumper dent that needed to get fixed. My rental car insurance ran out after 30 days which I then had to pay out of pocket $900! This was absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. After 31 days I called every week and asked what was happening. I was lied to every single time. One time they told me the car was being prepped for paint and when I drove by,my car was outside with absolutely no work done to it! (That was a month later). I called the next day and told them what I saw and how upset I was. They said it will be done next week. I called the following week and they again told me the following week. Later that week Tim called me back and told me my car would be ready the next day by noon and he would call me in the morning. No one called. I had already taken a half day to drop off the rental and get my car since I had young children and car seats to handle. I called them and noone called me back so I went to the shop. They told me the car was in detail which he told me that is where it was THE NIGHT before so again ANOTHER LIE! He told me it would be ready in 15-20 min. I sat there for 2 hours until it came out. Once it came out there was a sticker on my key saying DEAD BATTERY! no one told me that I had a dead battery and I did not realize what it said until I went to work and my car did not start! This place is absolutely disgusting and horrible. They obviously don't know what they are doing or do not care.
Also, an older man was waiting in the lobby because he had to return his tesla since they did everything wrong to it as well!

Unfortunately I'd leave this review at one star for my experience. I've attached a photo of the defective paint job that peeled off several months after the repair and a video of the bad parking sensor that randomly goes off with nothing around. Here's what happened:

Last November (11/23) I had an accident where someone backed up into my car in a parking garage while I was parked leaving me with:
1) A bumper with heavily scratched paint/scuffs
2) A broken headlight washer sprayer
3) A broken parking sensor on the front left part of the bumper.

I opted to go through their insurance and Allstate (the other person's insurance) listed this location as an affiliated body repair shop. I figured I'd have less of a hassle with this shop than I would if I just went with a random shop on my own and this shop had great ratings on Google (4.8), hence why I chose this shop.

The shop scheduled a repair date and when I got the car back after a few days:
1) The paint job looked great at first, I was actually impressed with how well they matched it and was pretty happy.
2) The headlight washer was fixed,
3) The parking sensor occasionally rang randomly, though I assumed that maybe it was a sensor that was just a bit too sensitive but still usable (I was wrong).

During the summer about 6 months later, the paint completely peeled off the bumper under the headlight in one strip. My guess is that the heat warmed the bumper to the point where the paint pulled right off indicating it maybe never bonded to the bumper properly. There was only one area on my car where the paint came off and it was the area that was worked on.

After calling Car Star, the body shop gave me an appointment on July 11, 2024 to come into the shop for them to look at the issue. They took some photos, assured me that they'd check it out, and sent me on my way. I didn't hear from them at all. I called several times after and the explanations ranged from the paint being defective to previous work being done on the bumper... as if the shop didn't get over two thousand dollars to do the repairs to begin with.

Even if the paint is defective, what does that have to do with completing the repair? The insurance paid for the paint + sensor to be fixed and both the paint and the sensor isn't fixed. If the paint is defective or if there was previous work on the bumper, it doesn't change the fact that the repair was a botched job and isn't done.

Needless to say, between multiple calls where the very polite lady offered to personally call the paint company and call me back (they didn't ever call back) I got no where with them. I then tried going through Allstate who took the info down, lodged a "Customer Concern" under the original insurance claim number where they said the next steps would be the shop reaching out to me. No one has reached out to me.

At this point, I'm just about ready to just go to Hyundai or a non-franchise business. It looks like unless Allstate pays out for more labor hours, the shop has no intention of fixing the messed up repair. Unless they're getting additional money, the shop isn't interested in fixing the problem and Allstate has no intention of paying more money out for the job.

If you come here, you may get a paint job that looks good for now, but if you run into problems down the line, you're probably out of luck. I'd steer away. Good luck with your repairs, if you're reading this review, I'm guessing your car is a bit beat up right now too. This wouldn't be the place I'd come to despite the good reviews.

The skills and talent that StarCar has is amazing. I have used them in the past and the work they do is outstanding. It was easy to coordinate the appointment and the rental car. They estimated the fix for a week but was done in only 4 days. This is a repair shop you need to call whenever you need your car fixed. They are surely my go to place. Everyone there cares about quality and making sure the customer is happy. A+ in my book.

I was more than pleased with Carstar Quality Auto Body. From my initial contact with Tina, who handled the insurance claim and car rental, and Eric, who explained the needed repairs and prepared the estimate through the actual repairs the staff have been professional and caring which alleviated my anxiety as a result of the accident and navigating this entire process. My car looks great; the staff even detailed the interior, nice touch. I highly recommend Carstar Quality Auto Body.

Everyone I dealt with here was wonderful! They were great to work with during a stressful personal time, compounded by my car being damaged in a hit and run. They do great work and I’m really proud of the results. It looks as good as new again! This was the first time where I had someone hit me and had to have my car repaired. They are the only Dodge/Mopar certified shop in the NE Philly/feasterville area so I decided to take it to them. I dropped the car off on a Monday morning and got the car back Thursday evening. Once they get the repair parts, they’re Quick and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone with Mopar products. (They may also have certifications for other car brands too)
