I am never disappointed when I need specific parts for a project because I always find exactly what I need. Wayne is very helpful, understands the period and takes me right to it in his barn full of treasures. We are blessed to have him and his resources so close to home.
Went there with a friend to just take photos. The facility was a treasure trove for an amateur photographer. Most importantly, the owner, Wayne Rickert, was extremely hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Found several items here during our 1925 bungalow renovation. Crane sink, door knobs & hardware, fantastic art deco trifold medicine cabinet mirror. Even found a matching drawer pull for a mission oak desk we needed. There was a gorgeous green pedestal sink I wish was there when I needed one.
Seemed like a great store to visit and purchase items for my house, but unfortunate experience with a someone (owner?) who lost their composure about having a service dog in his facility. After the owner escalated the situation to kick us out of his shop. Just beware, do not bring a service animal into their shop, or you may face the same wrath. Suggestions for owner, post no service dogs allowed might be helpful.
What an amazing place! I've never seen this much antique hardware anywhere! Could spend hours in here going through all the drawers. Seriously, it's a treasure trove. The staff was really cool too!
What an amazing place and owner! Everything is clearly sorted, organized and ready to complete whatever era restoration home project you have on your list. I was in there for hours just looking through bins, cabinets, baskets and more but still don’t believe I saw half of the treasures within the store. The owner knows exactly where everything is and even if you just have a general description of the item you are looking for, he nails it. It was just such a wonderful place that I can’t wait to visit again.
Stopped by last Thursday looking for a specific door, in a specific measurement, to replace the cheap hollow core door someone had installed in my 1850s home, and some hardware to go along with. Not only did the gentleman who runs the place know exactly where it was, both size and style. He went down with me to where the doors were, measured them to find the perfect one, helped bring it out and load it into my car, helped me find the matching hardware, and cleaned that hardware up for me, all at an incredibly reasonable price! After I brought it home, planed it some, and slapped a fresh coat (or 5) of paint on it it’s one of the prettiest doors in the whole house! I’ll definitely be coming back soon with a shopping list!
Architectural Antiques is hallowed ground for those of us who hold old things in high regard. There are old locks, and door knobs, and tools, and shutters, and innumerable bits of old homes that inspire a hushed reverence. Wayne is a good steward of the past.
Just stopped in and met the owner Wayne. I was really impressed with the organization of everything, if you are building and looking for something rustic stop in. As a bonus they have free pickle-ball in the back!
Architectural Antiques always has what I'm looking for for my 1913 house. He has everything one could need: hardware, fixtures, porcelain sinks & tubs, mantels, doors, wood trim. You name it and he most likely has it! I highly recommend Architectural Antiques!
Not very accommodating. Felt very unsafe in store. Enter at your own risk. Some items leaning against the walls can fall and hurt someone. Outside of building is an eyesore.
I could spend hours here. Everything thing you could possibly think of from door hinges to sinks to mantles to shelving brackets. The owner and son are so knowledgeable about every piece. They are also so helpful finding particular pieces you may need. I will be returning here many more times :)
Lots of interesting items....lots of junk too. Fun to walk around looking at some of the old wood work. Pricing can be a little too much..but it is all older stuff so you expect that.
Fantastic little shop! Wayne is a really nice, helpful guy, and keeps the place packed with more hardware, ironwork and accents than you can shake a stick out. He’s also got a lot of miscellaneous antiques as well such as old tools and signage. 100% recommend a trip out to browse - you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure you look into their business hours because it’s only open a few days a week. Otherwise, youll have to schedule an appointment.
