What a great place to see antique and classic vehicles and horse drawn wagons. It really just takes your mind and breath away just looking at how time was before all this high tech technology of today's time period. I always loved antiques and classics and this is definitely a great place to go, so if you are local or out of state visiting the state of Pennsylvania and love antiques and classics, than the Boyertown Museum of historic vehicles is a fantastic place to stop by.

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles was on the list of places my son and I wanted to see and they did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the volunteer that was on the museum floor was a wealth of knowledge about the history behind so many of the cars, trucks and carriages displayed there. They also had a blacksmith set up to work and answer questions in the carriage section of the museum. One of my favorites was the old diner that was brought into the museum, being inside there was like going back to another era. There is no shortage of cars here but they also have an old engine exhibit and a lot of displays with things like old car-related board games, Hess trucks, old spark plug boxes, etc. It's easy to spend a couple hours in here since they have so many vehicles on display. I highly recommend it and I will be going back again.

A well maintained car museum in as old a style as the cars themselves. Unlike the museums where you observe artifacts from show cases standing far away, here you can look at them real upclose without touching. We learnt it was the first Ford carriage and car factory. It contains the first few horse carriages and how the horses were replaced by steam, electric, and other fossil fuel engines. It also houses early motor cycles, a collection of early engine oils and other appliances. They plan to extend the museum in near future. Worth a visit in present shape.

A must-visit place for transport lovers! The museum offers a fascinating look at the evolution of automobiles, featuring many rare vehicles. most of them were manufactured in PA. From cycles and cars to mail vans, the collection is impressive. The staff were welcoming and informative, and kids had a great time participating in the Dragon vehicle contest, receiving certificates afterward

This is truly one of the most incredible museums that I am proud to be a part of their membership. What makes this Museum so unique, is that everything is dedicated to preserving and telling the stories of Pennsylvania transportation.

The museum covers "vehicles" from horse drawn, to historic bicycles, through electric and gasoline cars and trucks. Every vehicle has detailed history. We also enjoyed the cabin for travelers, the camper and old restaurant and its video. Surprised by all the electric cars and trucks of the early 1900's. One even moved railroad cars! The museum is full of regional vehicular history, that reached every corner of the world.

A wonderful museum featuring close to one hundred well preserved or restored old cars, trucks, motorcycles and carriages. Almost all of these vehicles were partly or completely built in Pennsylvania. Our museum guide Chris did a great job of introducing us to the collection and showing us some of the museum treasures. We spent an hour and a half here, and could easily have spent an additional hour. Highly recommend this place!

Outstanding historical auto museum. The carriage shop is a must see. Highly recommended.

I have been dying to come here for awhile now. I love museums with classic cars. I have been to the ACAA one in Hershey and this reminds me of a smaller version of that. The staff was beyond nice. The cars look amazing and the small diner inside was so neat. The history behind the building is neat as well but I’ll let you find out on your own. Definitely coming back in the future.

Super interesting Automotive Museum! Definitely worth the visit, not just for the area’s history, but for where Pennsylvania once sat in the automotive world. Our guide Jim, took us on (what felt like) a personal tour. Very thankful for his knowledge and stories! The Carriage house was a nice surprise and impressive collection as well.

Brought my husband here after a train ride for Father's Day. He really enjoyed the variety of cars, and our son and I also found it interesting. It's a nice size to spend some time but also not get burnt out reading the signs (from someone who isn't so interested). The workshop on level 2 and carriage house were also interesting. The facilities are also well cared for. Would recommend if you're in the area and interested in cars!

I took my dad here for Father's Day. It was a great museum! We spent about two hours there learning about just how many car manufacturers were in PA in the early 1900s. Highly recommend!

Very nice museum to display and highlight the contributions of many automobile bodybuilders in the central Pennsylvania. The exhibit is the actual factory floor of the Boyertown Autoworks so it has the "authentic " feel with some remnant of the engine oil smell in the air. The collection is impressive, telling the evolution of autobodywork and auto manufacturing in the first half of the last century. Some cars on the floor are rare, a few are the only survived copies in the world. Including in this collection is an early day Sun Oil gas station. Fitting very well with the cars on the floor. I learned a lot about cars and the making of cars on this trip. The staff was so helpful and unobtrusively. You can roam the floor freely at your own pace. A must see automobile museum in central PA.

Beautiful museum!! Such a great collection!! My favorite part was the carriage barn and shop with beautifully restored horse-drawn vehicles!

I have lived in the area for 26 years and never visited. HUGE mistake. This museum is amazing. I never realized the number of care manufacturers they were in Pennsylvania and especially in this area. The collection is large and we spent nearly two hours enjoying it. There is a full size diner from Reading inside (Display not functioning) horseless carriages, electric vehicles from the past, vehicles that are over 100 years old and nearly every single one restored beautifully. Cars, trucks, military, civilian, ambulance, wide variety. There is an old buggy area upstairs and a metal working/industry area. This is the best margin on the area and a real gem. Plenty of parking and special events throughout the year. I recommend this highly for car enthusiasts, history buffs and anyone who wants to learn a bit about the industry in the area. Kids would love it too. Don’t miss out like we did for many years if you have a hour or two to spend stop on in. You won’t be disappointed. Just a couple pics of the diner and the hurst which I never expected.

This museum is the definition of a hidden gem! Admission is very reasonable, and the guides are incredibly informative. There are many classic cars that are lovingly preserved. There are also bikes, carriages, and other vehicles on display. I definitely recommend this place. Call ahead to see if there are any special events.

First stop after Breakfast was at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. We spent over 2 hows exploring the several hundred display items from the 1850's up to the 1950's... The historical significance of what we saw was priceless and should be seen by everyone who loves history, the passion of the individual to create the most impressive type of vehicles and conveyances to be the workhorses of generations.

I work part time at a car museum in intercourse Pennsylvania. I was contacted by Alicia from this museum about exchanging pamphlets so we could advertise for each other. I wanted to visit them anyhow, so I took the pamphlets myself and went there with my wife. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed The museum because of the variety of collections inside, the old Diner, which is really cool and the old gas station. The history of the building and a large selection of the vehicles and carriages displayed made it very interesting and worthwhile to see. In a month or two I’m going to get several of my Brothers And sisters go there again with me so they can also enjoy the wealth of history and knowledge they have on display. Wonderful job done by the employees and volunteers that work here.

Staff are great. Amazing historic vehicles kept in amazing condition. If you look close inside most vehicles you can see they each have printed instructions on how to start them. It definitely wasn't turn-the-key-and-go like it is today!

Not enough time to see all the amazing vehicles. The great part is that there are very unique cars that can't be found almost anywhere on earth! If you love cars, you will love it here.

Incredible collection of a wide variety of historic vehicles! Staff member was very helpful and obviously proud of the museum. Will definitely be back, hopefully for an upcoming event for the chance to sit on the beautifully restored Fegely’s Reading Diner!

Did the Harry Potter birthday themed weekend that included a craft, but worth a visit anytime. Much larger than initial impressions from the outside. Automobiles, bikes, sleighs, and carriages. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is awesome! a wide variety of items in this collection. A number of brands and vehicles that I have never seen and several "last one known to exist" items. Absolutely love the vintage diner trailer that has been restored. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in the area and love vintage cars and other vehicles, this is a MUST SEE! According to my twelve-year-old Godson, "this was an awesome find!"

It was really nice. Two floors of historic vehicles. Everything from firetrucks to bicycles to horse and buggies to carnival rides. It cost me 20 dollars for two adults and one child with my AAA membership discount.

We love history and seeing how others have lived before us. It was interesting to see there were electric cars long ago, that just must not have caught on like they have more recently. Friendly staff and a great representation of vintage vehicles.

Took a drive here specifically to see the Back to the future exhibit which was excellent and worth the long drive alone. I've never been into antique cars but really loved the entire museum. They had some really awesome displays and 2 hours later we were still walking around! Really great place!

This is a great stop for any transportation enthusiast or just interested in the history of the area. There are plenty of benches throughout fir those that may be limited with mobility. There is also an elevator to the second floor. I was able to navigate the museum and bathroom with my electric scooter. We spent about two hours in there. I was disappointed with the gift shop. It was very small and had very little variety.
