I used their notary services, they're fine, the people are friendly but they dont seem to understand papers from other states. If your forms are only from PA its a fine place to go, but other wise its quicker to go some other place.

NOT GREAT, THEY CHARGE YOU FOR STUFF THAT DOESN’T NEED REPLACED.

I had a really poor experience in this shop. This was my first and last time going here . I don’t recommend this shop to anyone. The service I got was not professional. The inspector tried to impose services that didn’t need to be done with the car. There was a mistake in completing the title where they wrote 100,000 more miles than the odometer reading . They did not pay close attention to details, thankfully the notary saw the difference in miles and had it fixed .

Called and came in within 15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Awesome service and great people. Definitely accommodating to quick service!!

This has to be the worse place to do business with. They’ve illegally moved my vehicle with a forklift, hid my vehicle in their yard and threatened to charge me storage fees and lost the keys and won’t replace them. There were also additional damages to vehicle such as dents that were not present and forklift marks on my under carriage. They’ve also charged me for services that were never rendered. The quality of business is unacceptable and they’ve shown me nothing more than poor work ethics and bad morale. This is not a good place of business nor are the people decent enough to business with. If I could give this place “No Stars”, I’d do just that. In addition to the owners response, there are several discrepancies and lies within your response and business tactics. I never stated that my car was a problem but, that I work 16hr shifts and would be able to pick up my vehicle outside of your business hours. That is not an easy feat when the owner not only lost your key but, has blocked off access in efforts to get money for services never rendered. Again, if you find a reputable place of business stick with it before entrusting your vehicle and hard earned money to these people. It’s also strange that I asked to see video footage and none could be supplied until after a review. Ironically footage is now available to the public but, not the consumer. #BEWARE

We came in with probably the most complicated title service ever in the history of Pennsylvania they were so nice and took care of us with such detail and explanation that I was shocked that some strangers that didn't know us took care of us that good these guys are unbelievable I'm definitely a loyal customer from now on I will always bring my vehicles to them for inspections title transfers thank God for Above auto honestly cuz nobody else would do this for us our notary basically failed us and they took care of us I don't know how much more that I can say but it's unbelievable this shop is by far my favorite place for automotive needs they do it all from a crazy reconstructed vehicle from out of state to getting the inspections tags and stickers and on our way in a couple hours when it usually takes months thank you I will recommend them to everyone form this day forward thank you Above Auto!!!

The service was on point I made a appointment and then had to cancel cause I wasn’t gonna make it and my guy and his family waited for me that same night while it was pouring down rain if that’s not customer service I don’t know what is and gave me step by step of what was going on with my vehicle and was fair so I would definitely recommend this guy

He always attended to my needs when I had problems with my car, he’s the best mechanic in Beaver county and surrounding area’s and you’ll get class A service, and he won’t charge you for something you don’t need.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE ! Horribly ran business, they will take your money and leave you in the wind. The customer service is TERRIBLE. The lady that answers the phone is beyond rude and disrespectful. If you take a vehicle here you will be sorry. Stay blessed.

First of all-the bad reviews here are quite obviously from people who drive junkers around and expect others to cater to them so they can stay legal, if you really read the reviews. People are way too quick to give bad reviews when THEY are the problem, not the place they're reviewing. Ignore them. Second-I just moved from out of state and have been too busy to get my state inspection during the week. I called Above Auto at like 5pm on a Saturday, they gave me an appointment for Sunday at noon and provided an accurate price on that call. Kelly and Rob? Rod? (I'm sorry!) were so friendly and straightforward with me. He was concerned my squeaky back seat was a bad strut but they listened to me and took the time to investigate so it didn't cause me inspection issues. He also pointed out something that could cause me issues in the future but made it very clear that it can wait, and wrote it down in case I go somewhere else and need to tell somebody what to look at. Needless to say, I won't be taking it anywhere else. THAT is what an honest shop does and THAT is why I will absolutely be returning to these guys for future service!! Plus, I could totally see myself having a beer with them! These are decent, straightforward people running an honest business who I will absolutely trust with my jeep in the future. I highly recommend to anyone, and urge you to ignore the bad reviews from trigger happy junker drivers!

If I could give 0 stars i would. Stay away from this shop. Please listen to me. The owner and office person are not good people and do really shady business. They do not do good work and they charge more than everyone else. Please do not ever leave anything to their responsibility. Read all the bad reviews this place already has. Wish I would of read them first. This place needs shut down!

DO. NOT. GO HERE FOR INTOXALOCK SERVICE. Please spare yourself a long road of trouble, misinformation & loads of money! 1.) They were not aware of installation appointment. I received official emails, knowing it was set. I waited 30mins for them to arrive onsite. Then they told me they weren’t sure if they even had the device to install. 2. A 10 hour Installation. The appointment time 9am. Was told a few hours (standard is 2-4hr installation time). Received call stating it was finished at 7pm. Yes, 7pm. 3.) I was informed if I didn’t pick up my car within 24hrs of installation I would have to pay $70 storage fee a day or up to a $150 towing fee. I was reminded several times to pay everything in cash due to card fees. 4.) Told I could not get calibrations at any different location. THIS IS FALSE. Due to my poor first experience with Above Auto, I asked about other location options. They told me it had to be where I got my device installed, only with them. Found out through Intoxalock customer service that it’s as simple as scheduling a calibration elsewhere, and to just inform them of the change. 5.) My car battery died, Above Auto said it was in instant violation. THIS IS FALSE. Right off the bat was told it’s a flat $75 charge to Intoxalock (which is correct if you have a legit lockout/violation) + $40 or $50 fee at Above Auto for reset, plus what it costs to get my vehicle towed to them, even if I got my car mobile, they explained it would still be in lockout so it won’t move (hence, towing). I live 15 minutes away and their quoted price was $125. At this point I called Intoxalock customer service. The correct information regarding my situation of a dead car battery is to called Intoxalock right away about the issue. Once aware of the situation, I was granted a one week time period to get my car jump started or new battery before it is violation. From there I call back and they can reset the lockout electronically. In summary that means no violation penalty, reset, or towing fees, saving me roughly $125 to $300 and loads of hassle. 6.) I was cut short, rushed on the phone and hung up on mid-sentence on more than one occasion. This detail is minuscule in comparison to everything else, but if anyone has gone through this process in any way, shape, or form, can relate that it is an intricate, delicate matter that is to be taken very seriously. Communication and understanding of the responsibilities throughout the process is vital to your success. Go to Intoxalock for any and all questions. I truly hope this spares anyone the lesson I learned!

This is worst enhance inspection ever took my car for enhance inspection after he did nothing he told me I have pay for bringing at all pre inspection of which I have done a lot of enhance inspection before at other places and nobody ever asked me to pay for pre inspection and then destroyed my car all in the name of he was checking the car .now I have to repair car all over again before looking for another place to get my car inspected

Above auto is professional and considered of customers. I had my salvage inspection and everything went smoothly. Anything safety related that needed attention was quickly fixed. I recommend Above Auto.

I took my car here for transmission issues. But let me give you a back story. My car was not running because of transmission issues. I called about 10 shops for a quote. All of them refuse to give me a quote without seeing the car. But Rodney, the owner of this shop gave me two quotes. He told me 90% percent of my transmission issue has to do with a minor problem. That is a reset. He told me a reset would cost me $300. But if worse comes to worse, he can replace my transmission with a new one for $1500. I took the chance a gave him my car. He called me the same evening saying the car is ready. He said it only needed a reset. I went to pick it up, and the bill was over $2000:00. I was mad but diplomatic at the same time. I challenged him on a lot of the costs like $80.50 for test driving my car. I also challenged him for charging me stuff he did not do. I told him i was going to call the state police to enquire whether some of these charges were legal. He told me i can call the state police if i want. I called the state police and they told me they can't deal directly with me. They advise me to call the local Alliquippa police. I have reported the matter to the local police and they advised me to go to court. I don't have time for that. I want to warn everyone, be careful of all the fake reviews you read here. Just visit the local police and hear what they have to tell you about this man.

Great place to bring your vehicle. They are honest, respectful, responsive and punctual, and go above and beyond to make sure they are precise and thorough. Who else has such flexible hours as well? I highly recommend!

This place is a big rip off! Tried this place based off of these reviews, which I found out can be computer generated. That is why you won't see many faces with them. He over charge me for the work he did, then tried to hold my car inorder to try to get more money for work he suggested I needed. When I decided to go somewhere else, he would not release my keys unless I payed him 50 dollars more for some made up charge he came up with. My tires were punctured in hopes that I could not move my car, but AAA was great. AAA towed my car to a reputable shop who showed me the unprofessional work that had been done. He was supposed to change my gas lines. They where hanging down, with no anchors, and unsafely fastened. I gave him money for a new starter that he told me I needed but got used parts. Had to pay to have work corrected. I've been having repairs done to my cars and my families cars for years. It's a shame how hard it is to find a good mechanic you can trust, this place is one of the worst! So make sure you do really good research and don't do what I did because you will get the same results that I did! God bless

I do NOT recommend taking your car to Above Auto Inc. The owner (mechanic) did not tell me that my car would not pass inspection due to the window Tint on the front 2 windows until after he took the 1st $75. Then he tried telling me that my car was going to have intake manifold issues and I should just let him fix it. I peeled the window Tint, then it passed inspection and it cost me another $150 to get the Tint replaced. I called around and there are many shops that only concern themselves with mechanical and emissions issues. Reply to Above Auto on 8-10-21: The subject of what is right and wrong is about taking a person's money when you know the Tint is to dark before starting the inspection. You made a statement that Honda CRVs have intake manifold issues and that I should go ahead and allow you to do the work because it's gonna have to be done anyway. Well guess what, it never had a problem for the last year and has over 130K miles. You should not do inspections as a means to create more work to fill your coffers. Also, not every law a state makes is fair and/or just. Furthermore, your fees for inspection are considerably higher than other shops in the Pittsburgh area.

Now days you don’t find people that go out of their way to help a stranger! We were hooked up to our teardrop camper on our way to Montana when our lights didn’t work. We were stuck with no turn signal no brake light basically electrical system fried! It is Saturday late afternoon no RV deal no Subaru dealer open. Looked for repair shop everything closed except one garage that said open on weekends. Called Rodney and he said he could be at his shop within hour. Rodney and his wife went way out of their way to help strangers. They went above and beyond took some hours to trouble shoot but he knew we wanted to get on the road and with his great skill and knowledge got us rigged up to get on the road for our big trip! They spend their entire Saturday evening helping complete strangers! Not only are the skilled, they are super friendly and just good good people! It’s is heartwarming to see their are still genuine good people in this world! Thank you Rodney for everything and getting us on the road for our vacation!

They sold me a car and didn't tell me the air conditioner was broken, cost me a lot to fix it. You would think they would check everything to make sure everything was working

Kelly was able to help me get a document notarized in order for me to get my car back after it was towed. It was on a Sunday and very short notice - Kelly was professional, communicated with me frequently, and very prompt, which I am very grateful for! I highly recommend this business! Thank you Kelly!

Had a buddy (Mel), with a muffler that fell & dragged under the car & needed to have that fixed to get it inspected. He was quoted over $500.00 + inspection fees (to be sent out to do it yet… ) & he was discouraged. & Here, I knew a guy (Bobby D), who knew these guys & told us to check with & see what they say. They Quoted $375.00 with a new Muffler, installed & inspection. He dropped it off & made a payment arrangement & a plan… He (my Buddy Mel), thot they took a minute to finally get to it (3 weeks later), but I saw it as being pretty prompt as we popped in on them, dumped & dropped the car on them with major problems, on the spot without parts or a proper down payment all WHILE IN THE ONSET OF SPRING & them getting loaded up with spring clean cars with police tow stickers on them and a few graduation gifts to be checked for purchases by their parents and with a line of routine & dedicated customers vehicles inspections to be done. When Mel was taken to drop off the fina partiall of the estimated fee.. The car was finished… fixed and inspected. (*if they only sold insurance). He had to wait a month & a ½ to complete the process to get it legal. ;- )
