Chris fixed the annoying noise from the back of my car. I took this problem to the dealer and multiple other mechanics before, and they all just did a bunch of guesswork and tried to fix irrelevant issues.
Chris was also very transparent about different options for me, especially with parts. He was chill and efficient. Highly recommended!
This is the only shop where I will take my car! I have been going to Chris for 7 years now. He does great work and shows me what he has repaired so that I can learn. Unlike other places, he doesn't overcharge or try to replace things before its needed. I highly recommend the C.A.R. Shop for honest, no bs service and pricing!
I went to get my car inspection here and found a helpful and honest mechanic! He told me that my car was in good shape and it passed, but will probably need new rotars by the next inspection. I like the honesty and no pressure to get 'unneeded' work right away!
I called and booked an appointment for a state and emissions inspection on July 1st for July 11th at 3pm. When I arrived on July 11th, after taking time off of work to make it to the shop, the shop was closed. I called and could hear the phone ringing inside. I left a voicemail stating I was outside for my appt. I never received a call back and left after waiting for about 5-10 minutes. I was hoping to receive a call on Monday when the shop opened explaining what happened. But I never received a call. I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere and would not recommend making an appt here.
I’ve been to this shop a few times now, and every experience has been top-notch. There have been a few times I almost panicked over a car issue, and with just a phone call or quick visit, Chris and his team put me at ease. They’re incredibly respectful, kind, and honest. The atmosphere is laid-back, and they never try to upsell, just genuine, trustworthy service. They’ve always gotten me in and out quickly, and their prices are very reasonable. Convenient, reliable, and a place you can truly count on. Highly recommend!
Chris was amazing and fast I need 1 wiper transmission done and everyone was giving me the run around and he got me in same day and didn't overcharge he was polite and very helpful definitely will be gng back
Went in for state inspection. It was done in 30 minutes, and Chris took the time to explain some stuff about car maintenance specific to my situation I wasn't sure on. Makes sense this place gets good reviews

It’s hard to find a good mechanic that treats you with respect and makes the technical jargon easy to understand. Definitely bringing all my cars here.
I personally didn't like this repair shop. They found a trivial problem in my car and suggested me to change for a humongous price. When declined their suggestion, they said in a really bad tone that my car would break and an accident is for sure coming in my upcoming NY trip from Pitt.
Down the line: I went and came back from NY in my car and nothing happened.
Finding an issue and suggesting a solution is fine but don't say bad words to someone who is about to go on a trip in his car. Never visiting this place again.
Hands-down the best I had a $1500 charge from Ford dealer that was $500 from Chris. I had a mechanic at Frick Park tell me that my car was done for and that I would have to sell it and he refused to work on it at all. I took it to Chris and he told me that I just needed to replace some parts and that it was perfectly acceptable. Overall just a great guy, great personality, good small business owner that is worth working with every time.
Chris is an amazing mechanic. He will tell you what is going on with your car and when he can, give possible options for fixing it. His pricing is very reasonable and your car will be safe.
We are so fortunate to have met Chris and his team!!! C.A.R. will be our car repair home for the foreseeable future. Cheerful, kind, expert and very reasonable prices are just the beginning. Chris and Josh got us inspected and great new brake pads installed in no time. He has helped out another family member with some extensive repairs, as well. We think he's just the best!
Chris the owner/ mechanic is a down to earth straight forward technician. He seems to be one of the few trustworthy mechanics left these days. Has affordable rates, no bull business on your safety behind the wheel and won't tell you you need stuff fixed if it doesn't need fixing. Real good guy .
chris is very chill- brought my civic in to put on a new intake and he didnt even laugh at me for not being able to do it myself which is great. hes fun- but also profesh and thats nice. 5/5.
For sure the best mechanic I’ve been to. Knowledgeable, hardworking, reliable, honest, and quick. He was very patient and explained the service that needed to be done. I don’t know anything about cars and he explained everything clearly and made the necessary repairs.
My father used this shop some months back. Was looking for a decent shop that could handle taking care of my BMW M4. It’s not a basic old car so I wanted someone that knew what they were doing. I had some suspension components and coilovers I wanted to install. Got it all done in 2 days and she rides like a dream. Couldn’t be happier my man Chris will for sure be my go to for all my future modifications I’ll have coming up soon. Highly recommend Chris, that’s my dude for now on.

Down to earth, no nonsense, avoids overcharging. This is the rare honest mechanic. I went in for an inspection, knowing I was going to need some work done. I needed new front brakes and Chris didn't keep me waiting. Literally changed the brakes right then and there, in no time and got me on my way.
I took my car to a few different shops and they just couldn't get the job done. Took it here and hours later my car is back and better than ever. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back time after time for work. Chris is trustworthy and honest and his attention to detail is second to none. He doesn't cut corners and is always willing to go that extra mile. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Spread the word. C.A.R shop is taking over.
This person is awesome. He gets the work done quick and on point. No unnecessary talks and definitely not a scammer. He knows his work very well and lives up to his words.
His pricing is kinda high but it’s fine when you are assured your car is in perfect condition.

Awesome mechanic! Honest, explained everything in detail (even with a REALLY unusual problem). Also, fast as lightening to get things done for me on a serious time crunch! Owner is a fantastic mechanic who will walk you through what actually needs fixed and then give you a price that is fair. If you’re tired of being ripped off by the larger shops that charge an inflated price for parts that they get with a 15-20% discounted price and add in even more fees for anything they can think of, then check him out. It’ll be well worth the wait for him to fit you in.
