Amazing church. I imagine being a Pioneer riding a horse and buggy to Sunday services.

I personally love seeing abandoned places. It’s really interesting to find this place with such little civilization around and realize that was a much different time when this was built.

Great site to see. A sign states no trespassing but you have enough room on the side of the road to pull over and admire this historic building.

Just a shell, near a bunch of modern houses. Posted no trespassing. No other old buildings in the area.

Very cool defunct old church. Looks like the metal roof was added well after the fact, but otherwise it appears as I imagine it was when first constructed. Unfortunate it's on private property and you cannot access, but still a cool old structure. The plaque on the front reads "Locust Grove Church - Started May 6, 1895 - Finished June 6, 1895 - M.A. Van Gilder, Carpenter - Dedicated June 23, 1895 - United Brethren Church - Affiliated Methodist Church - Circa 1900 - Last Use Funeral 1914

Absolutely love this one. You can't get on the property, but you can get a great photo just from the road.
