Friendly when you go in make sure you take your copper aluminum and stainless steel separate from your other metal up to building you'll get more that way then you take the rest and vehicle to scale
It went just fine, in fact it went as fine as ftogs fur split 3 ways..... It's a far cry from California scrap yards as far as what items they will accept....Meaning you have to go through more laborious lengths on certain items. Whereas Jackson takes it all without having to touch it.. Unless you want a better price...it's safety measures I'm referring to not clean metal vs breakage ... e.i. pressurized tanks
They dont tell you how much you're nonferrous scrap weighs or the price you're getting for it until long after they've taken it from you and threw it in with their stuff. You can't see their scale and that is obviously because they're going to rip you off. When you finally get your receipt, you see clearly that you have been ripped off. I was in complete shock and wanted to ask for my scrap back but realize that's impossible because they already mixed it with their stuff. BTW.... according to my receipt, the guy that works there can barely pick up 23lbs.... seriously? They are crooks. I will never go back and plan on telling everyone I know about my experience here.
Scales seem off they classify engines and transmission as tin and then even after talking to the supervisor they won't make it right.DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.
20 years welding in a shop and every time I have turned my tips and nozzles in I've never had any problem getting number two copper prices. Today at Jackson I was told that it has to be clean copper to get number two prices and they turn me away. After going to Jackson a handful of times and going other places to get better prices. I thought since they price matched I would give them another shot. There will not be another opportunity to waste my time.
The scale lady is always courteous. The guys are friendly and helpful. I like that they are open on Saturday. And I don't have to drive all the way into Tulsa. Oh yeah...did I mention the scale clerk is nice...
I was very impressed with jackson metal,they price match. There workers were very professional and hard workers, I was in and out at a very reasonable time, I was very happy at the way my items were weighed, I got top dollar for what I had, even seen a employee there going over the yard with a magnetic roller to pick nails, screws, so customers wont get a flat tire. The owner was very friendly and professional. This is a honest and well ran business. 5 stars
