Everyone there was very helpful, and friendly. Also only place open on new years eve. Gave great prices on copper and brass. Definitely will be coming back
The place is debris free, and the employees were very very helpful and friendly. This was my first time there and one of the first times at a scrap yard and I had no idea what to do. Asked one employee and he helped me and before I knew it, I had another employee helping walking me through what to do and even unload the metal from my car. Excellent service here.
Incredible service, they were very very helpful and guided me through the process though I was confused for my first time there. I 100% recommend this place for if you are selling metal.
I can't put into words that would accurately capture how impressed I was with Girard Recycling. Fantastic people. I have been scrapping on off for at least 20 years (Huge hauls down to tiny buckets) and have never had such a wonderful experience. Just one example of many I could give...I brought in two buckets of misc metal. Unsure if they would even take it being its more work to sort it and such a small load. They sorted while I was there just so I could get the higher price. Any yard I would of went to would of labeled it mixed metal without a second thought. Just one example of my experience here. Im not easily impressed and very rarely leave reviews. With Girard recycling I wish I could do more for them as we all benefit from having such a great family owned business in our town.
Sam and his son are fantastic people. Very polite and friendly. I took a load of copper in and was happy with the payout I received. The yard and the shop are well organized and clean as well. These guys will forever have my business.
Best prices for copper wire around and they are open till 5 unlike other scrap yards in the area I will always bring my copper scrap here nick was a great help
Very friendly and welcoming. I have gone to many other recycling places that had different weight than when I weighed myself. I spoke to the one about all this and to assure no funny stuff was going on he even set the scale in front of me and was exact to what I had. Will definitely be going back!
Very amazing family operated business, I called running late after a stressful day, I spoke with Nick who was very polite and understanding unlike most corporate yards. Will definitely be doing more business with these guys and if you’re deciding whether to come here I highly suggest!
I've been in business for 27 years and always try to help out local business it's part of giving back. In good faith I wanted to help out this local business. There is always an excuse why something isn't done, can't get done or won't get done with this company. Or can't get back to you when promissed and cant show up when promissed. Then to add insult to injury I get ripped off on the scrap. I've been steadily getting paid for scrap water heaters for years and our water heater purchases and scrap are 2 very similar numbers. But I give you not only the water heaters but additional scrap to get things cleaned up as well as copper and brass and I get less than 1/3 of what I normally get with water heaters alone?? You should be ashamed of yourself! Everyone in business deserves to make a profit and I do not have objections at all with a reasonable profit. But you can't hammer someone then make it look like that's all there was. This is a small town you won't stay in business long ripping people off.
I see on here where the owners have updated a new location to 1715 N. State St. Girard, Ohio 44420 just 2 weeks ago. I showed up there a little before 4 p.m. and that is not you. When I call you’re phone it’s always “sorry no one can answer the phone”.. You also updated the hours 2 weeks ago as well and specifically today it says you close at 5 p.m. so you should be open right now but I’m not really even sure if you’re actually a real place?

I don’t want to make an appointment. I drove all the way there to what still is not you. Called your number number repeatedly only for it to go to a dead line. This is absolutely terrible for business. Take this down. I would not attempt to go here at all now and the fact that you think I would is crazy.
Take this god forsaken place OFF OF GOOGLE as a business. 3 times I have come here during the hours they state they're open. All three times have failed. Phone number is not in service. Wasting people's time. I should send a bill for time + fuel.
