I avoid this kroger at all cost. Understaffed. checkout lines extend into the aisles. self checkout are annoying. they should observe Meijer self checkout. much more efficient I suppose it's good for Kroger to be busy but the shopping experience is unpleasant. On new year's eve they had one checkout person in the liquor store. checkout line snaked around half the store. this is gross mismanagement of personnel.

I've been coming to this Kroger since a child and I haven't been here in a while, it is soooo dirty in there. It used to be clean and stocked but when you walk in aisles its dirty, merchandise on the floor. I almost forgot I was in Englewood because it now reminds me of the Kroger on W Siebenthaler. They barely have cashiers, it was only 2 cashiers open and I don't even know who was running self checkout. Get it together!

How dare you and the audacity to have online pickups cease at 6pm on 12/13/2025???!!! I know personally someone who tried to place a pickup order in the window of time twice, on 12/13/2025, and couldn’t pick up their order(I’m on speaker phone). The first time someone with the name of Kathleen at 9:11am on 12/13/2025 called and said something to the tune of the store was closing at 6p on 12/13/2025. Was the store closing at 6p or were pickup orders stopping at 6p? So, the person placed another pickup order on 12/13/2025 and on the app it said order was ready for pickup. Person arrives at Kroger Englewood only to be told by the worker that she has no pickup order for her. Employee stated no orders pickup were being fulfilled. It’s around 3p. This employee is blaming corporate and she doesn’t know what’s going on. Person I know asks if the store was closing at 6p or was the cut off for pickup orders stopping at 6p. Employee said pickup orders were stopping at 6pm. Kathleen was not clear previously. Person I know is telling employee that she has anxiety about there not being enough food on the shelves because of the weather and what it does to people in general when they hear weather advisories and stores get overwhelming, people who are limited in mobility or they are under the weather. Does anyone remember COVID-19. Some people are experiencing post traumatic stress disorder. Get this! Meanwhile, the person I know is literally seeing two cars pull up and they are getting their orders!!! What in the world! Make it make sense, Kroger!! Englewood Kroger is right up there with Kroger Siebenthaler being poorly ran and trashy. Corporate, what if it were your family member, friend or neighbor? I AM ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY SURE, CORPORATE, THAT YOU HAVE FOOD IN YOUR CUPBOARDS. Read this carefully. Life is a boomerang.

Very time I do a pickup order it is always running late. I always put a order in to be picked up on the next day and it is always running behind I put in a order yesterday to be picked up today and they just called and said they can't even give a a time when it can be picked up today or it could be tomorrow this is very poor service .

I try to avoid this store. It is grossly understaffed. My last visit was the Saturday before Thanksgiving. There was one regular check out open, three small self-checkouts, and one self check out with the conveyor belt. The lines were ridiculous. It took me 20 minutes to get checked out. I asked to see a manager, and was told there wasn't one there yet. The cashier running self check out was most unfriendly too. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. The lines here are frequently a problem. The lines for self check out snake all the way to the back of the store at times. I've seen people get in verbal fights for accidental line cutting. I worry about violence in this store because of the lines and lack of staff.

We are new to the Englewood area and have been sorely disappointed in the Kroger pick up. The first time it was pushed back by a couple of hours and I just assumed it was a rough day. No problem! But then it happened again, and today a third time….they won’t even have it done today and can’t give an eta for tomorrow. I never had this issue in our former town. I would suggest using Vandalia or Troy as opposed to this unreliable and poor performing Kroger in Englewood.

I have attempted the curbside pick up 3 times from this location and each time my order falls into the "system outage" time frame. This last time I placed my order at 10:48 am on 11/21/2025 to be picked up between 6pm and 7pm, so I can stop there on my way home from work. I get there and I was the 3rd car in a spot. The rest of the spots filled pretty fast after I got there. I sat in spot 1 for 30 minutes watching the car that got there after me get their orders. I was the last car in the parking area when someone finally came up to me at 6:48pm to tell me that they tried to call me at 3:26 pm but my voicemail was full to tell me that their "system had crashed" and they had to push my order to the next day with NO ETA. This has happened now 3 separt times. When I look at my order online each time, it says that my order is ready for pick up instead of canceling the order. I do not recommend anyone to go to this Kroger at all.

Kroger has always been one of my favorite stores to shop at since I was a kid. I love coming to the Englewood location because they always have what I want. Especially their fresh produce! Last week when I came in they were kind of busy which sucked because I happened to be in a rush that day but when I was ready to check out, a lady wearing a red vest named Martina was quick to point me to a register that had a shorter, quicker moving line! Jamie at the customer service desk was very helpful when I came back later that day because some of my digital coupons didn’t get credited to my order. You need more employees like Jamie and Martina! They are amazing!!!

I love this Kroger location. Everything is always in stock. Everything is always clean. It’s a great selection of products. Located in a great area with lots of parking. Happy to see the new gas station build. The employee named Aiden specifically was extremely kind and helpful to me during a particularly frustrating shopping trip and I was grateful to be treated so kindly in a time of such frustration for me.

I will never shop here again, wait times at customer service were ridiculous and didn’t have enough staff!

Staffs rude as hell. If you dont want us using the self scan checkout for larger orders. Try opening another lane. Its literally the ONLY option. Check your employees attitudes while youre at it.

First time I been here in years. Just moved back from Columbus. We'll, I'm trying different locations. This one in Englewood is a little better than on sebinthaler. I took a pic of this corn that was rotten and had Nats flying around it. Their was a lot of workers just walking around it, not giving a care in the world that it was nasty. I can't believe they don't care. Even there other food looked bad. Other spots was looking good. Man, why are people lazy and don't care about their job. I'm sure they wouldn't like it. I can't find a Krogers I like in dayton. I'll try Huber Heights and other places and see if there's any better. I really like Krogers for there savings. I think Columbus and surrounding areas was better at keeping their products up to date. What a shame. Think I'll send this to their corporation. Who knows even if they care enough..smh!!

I guess now they have rentacops standing in front of cash registers telling people which one they can use instead of watching the entrances and exits. If you don't want to do what they want you to they start yelling at you. They just also had a recent incident at that store with a woman being harassed throughout the store. I guess the rentacops don't do nothing about this but instead do things they have no business doing telling people how and where to check out.

My 10 year old son is injured and barely able to walk. He has to get surgery tomorrow and due to already being on bedrest has literally only looked forward to going to the store. So we waited all day to come at night so that there were not very many other customers since he needed the little electric scooter. We spent 2 hours at the store with absolutely no problems. Checking out he needed to go to the bathroom so i sent him. (He can walk just not long distances.) He came back and was coming through the self chekout lanes to meet us at the end of our checkout lane where the "security" guard yelled at him to get off. I immediately seen and told her that he was fine and injured and doing what his parents told him to do. Where she then started calling whoever and demanding him get off and argued with us until we physically showed her his injury. How shameful and disgusting it was to make a 10 year old cry like that for no reason. Had he been goofing off, cutting people off or running people over i would understand but none of that happened... The girl that apologized in the parking lot made him feel a lot better. Thank you so much to her!

I'm giving Kroger a two star because every darn week I order groceries from them they bump my order. I get your short staff or whatever, but don't add so many people to that hour if you can't do it. I would gladly pick a new time I can do verses being told I have to come when I'm busy. I've had to move plans around or cancel my order all together multiple times because they always bump me. I'm very disatisfed with this Kroger pick up. I'm just gonna start shopping on Vandalia because this store can't get it's act together

I've been shopping at this Kroger for years. This "Marketplace" store is where I do my main shopping for groceries. In my opinion, their prices are unbeatable. Weekly sales and clearance items are always available. Plenty of parking and grocery carts. The cashiers and baggers are polite and kind. Customer service is helpful and understanding of your needs, never argumentative. Each aisle is clearly marked, made for easy access. This store offers a clinic, vaccines, pharmacy and a state liquor store. This store also has employees who, with intellectual disabilities that are loved by all, are helpful and have great work ethics. There are other grocery stores in this area but none can beat out the service and prices here.

Not sure why they offer same day pickup. My order was supposed to be picked up between 4 and 5. I get a call at 4 saying it won't be ready until 7. I get a call at 7 saying it won't be done until t the next day. This happens more times than not. If this option can't be done then Kroger needs to get rid of it.

Ordered cupcakes for today when I picked them up they look nothing like the photo. Online shows colorful icing we recieved white plain icing.

I would give this Kriger zero stars if possible. I have tried multiple times to do a Kroger pick up order here and every time it gets delayed. I put in a pickup order this morning for a 2pm pickup, it got rescheduled to a 3pm and then a 4pm. I finally canceled the order and will take my business elsewhere.

The employees are very helpful and there is a good selection. Added bonus, I let my purse in a cart and drove away. I called in a panic and was told one of the folks gathering carts had turned it in. The young lady at the service desk waited on me, giving up part of her break. Everything was inside. She made sure I was the owner. A+ for this store and the awesome employees

This is the worst Kroger I have ever had the misfortune of having to use, due to moving north of Dayton. Their Click List service is an absolute JOKE. I have only been using this store for 3 months, and I cannot count the amount of times they notify me an hour before that my Click List order will have to be moved back 4 + hours, or even the next day. I've also received a can of Pringles without the plastic lid, strawberries with black/mold on them on SEVERAL occasions, several dented cans, bad corn, etc. over these last few months. I sat in my car and watched a worker bring out someone's Click List, open their trunk, and have the customer's trunk smash into the cart because they didn't have it moved far enough away!!! Today was the final straw. I had a Click List order to be picked up between 4:00-5:00 tonight. They called me at 3:00 - ONE HOUR BEFORE - to tell me my order had to be pushed back to 8:00 tonight. I had a birthday cake and candles in this order for a birthday dinner tonight at 6:00. I told them this was unacceptable. They did absolutely nothing about it. Choosing a pick up time slot ahead of time clearly means nothing to them. I told them the situation and they did nothing to make it right. I had them cancel the entire order and said I'd never be back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS KROGER. I'll be driving further to use another company/grocery just to avoid them from now on. They are despicable and I'd give NO STARS if I could.

It's clear that there is a pattern where there are days when more staff are required to ensure good flow at checkout. I have been attempting to avoid going into the store at all because of the horrendous lines, which apparently require a security officer to maintain a semblance of clear walkways. Today I noticed I received a dirty piece of food packaging in my pickup order. I went inside to customer service to ask for a replacement. I was told I may go and get my replacement. I have already paid for the service to pick up my items. I responded that an associate from the store/pickup may make it right. She responded the store is short staffed and so was pickup, so she would not call them to even ask. I do not blame the customer service person. I absolutely believe Kroger us understaffed, because I can see it weekly. This is a review specifically for the hiring managers. Hire people and staff your store appropriately. Of note, there all the other items which I replaced mine with were not dirty whatsoever. It is unclear why an associate would choose a dirty packaged product.

Shout out to Ethan in the floral dept! I had him blow a lot of balloons up for me for a retirement party and he did such a great job and separated all the colors. He was so kind and seemed to enjoy his job. I appreciated him so much!!

I've been getting at least 4 bouquets here a year, forever. They are always so beautiful and last for on average 2 weeks. I love their selection and the prices are so adorable.

Pick up order attempt. Got a call from Kroger. Was told "nothing you ordered is available." We don't have anything. Grapes, out of season. Bread, nope. Cocktail Sparkling Grape Juice... nothing. I then asked about Grape Juice? She replied, "I don't know." (How... if "nothing I ordered is available," do you not know??) I then proceeded to state that the App should reflect items out of season as NOT being available, and should state quantities of other items to reflect low in stock. She replied a few times... "we don't control the app." To which I replied that I was aware that she, or even people in the local store can control the app... but SOMEONE in the huge corporation of Kroger's does!! She offered a refund. I accepted and went to Walmart, picking up every single thing I'd ordered, except for grapes. Update: I then used the Walmart app, and found GRAPES at another Walmart location. I made the drive, and picked them up. Thank you Kroger App for being totally useless, unreliable, and for telling your staff to tell people that items that Kroger's does not have are out of season.

Shopped yesterday and the place is really gross. Took the two pictures over by the cheese and two by the meats. They only clean if there is an inspection coming up. And let's no talk about all the moving of items constantly and the long lines. I shop for 15 minutes and then stand in lines for 30 minutes or more. Poor customer service!

I am extremely disappointed with the cake that I ordered from here. It is so sloppy, I'm embarrassed to bring it to my party. The cake was placed crooked on the cardboard underneath, so when I came to pick it up the icing was smashed and messed up on the back. The writing on it is so sloppy and not even spaced out. "birthday" is written into the side frosting of the cake you can't even read it. AND the cake is uneven on the top. it looks like it's melting, it's that uneven. I will never order another cake from here again. :( I'm seriously super upset.
