I left there “clean” parking lot with two screws in my tires ended up with two flats and the prices on hill street are higher I also waited in line for 40 minuites one day for everyone to drive over and unload there cans because there isn’t a seperate line for going out back I wasted a lot of time here
Recently brought a broken dryer in. I was amazed of how much cleaner and organized the lot was compared to some of the other places around town. The staff was all super friendly, and it was fast! We were there maybe 2 minutes and done. Will definitely be going back!
I brought in a clothes dryer and left with cash (green stuff) in my pocket. On my next visit to Toledo I'm going to bring in an old stove. They take those also.
My go-to place now. Went there the first time with a mix of scrap metal, vehicle parts and some aluminum. Unlike another scrap place I used to go to, I got blown away when I was told, I'm getting a separate cash-out for the rotors I had on my trailer. Unlike the "old place", I now had 3 pay-outs. Scrap metal, rotors and aluminum. They do not take catalytic converters however. No biggie. Super clean yard and such a helpful staff. First time there, it was almost like a tour I was being guided at. Every corner, every stop a friendly face helping me. I left with air in the tires, money in my pocket nd a smile on my face. It was and is worth the 30 minute drive for me.
My husband and son usually drop off all of our metal recycling, but today I dropped off a load for them. Found every person there to be very friendly and helpful. From start to finish it was an easy process and I appreciated all the direction and smiles.
I went to Kripke Enterprises as my first attempt to scrap metal for money. I told them it was my first time and they went above and beyond to make it a successful payday. They walked me through the process and were very patient with me and on top, their facility was extremely organized and well maintained. KRIPKE ENTERPRISES will be my go to place for all future scrapping needs!
Best scrap yard I have ever seen they keep everything clean . The drive ways, road's , parking lot all nice and clean of things that put holes in tires.
Kripke is the greatest Paul is the man our favorite he’s friendly and helpful, Alex is also one of the greats whom we love, as well as Zack we look forward to seeing their friendly faces, we can’t forget about Sheldon and the shorter African American brother I apologize I can’t remember his name but I choose this yard because they treat us like family starting from day one and that’s what makes a great business and we appreciate it and you accept the adoption into your family
Made me stand outside and separate everything then threw it all in the same tote anyway and lost my palladium capacitors saying they don't know what that is. If you don't know what you're doing find a different job because palladium is like platinum and gold it's worth a lot more than the copper they marked it as. I'll drive further for better pay for sure when it comes to making spare cash.
We hired the company to clear out our old building so we could sell it. The crew were extremely professional and totally crushed the project. Very pleased and even got a rebate on recycled steel. Highly recommend.
The weigh-in and weigh-out process is a little confusing at first, but even a curmudgeon like me figured it out! Their signs say it all, "get weighed, get paid". It's surprising the variety of items they'll buy, and it really is easy. Do the environment a favor and put some change in your pocket!
I have used this location to recycle 3 times now. Everyone I have dealt with was helpful and they generally seem to like their jobs. I had never scrapped before and had no clue what I was doing, they made it easy.
Unless you are taking pop cans don't bother because they can't unload a trailer due to inexperienced operators, first was told that he just had to load a truck first and would be 30 minutes, come back over an hour later and still loading that truck, slowest operators I've ever seen
The employees are not knowledgeable about the procedures and not helpful. They also have an attitude. I went there this morning for the first time. The guy at the entrance tells me what to do. I follow the directions given. As I am putting downspouts into a bin by the building that the guy told me to do, another guy yells what do I think I'm doing. I tell him what the guy at the gate said. He says he doesn't know what he's doing. He then tells me to get what I put in the bin and put it back in my truck and go re weigh and come back and they will get it out of my truck. So I do that. I come back and I stand by my truck for 5 minutes while an employee is sweeping up dirt. I ask they guy when someone is going to come over. He says just take what I have inside since it was only three pieces. He watches me go inside. The lady inside says I was supposed to go through the other door to get it weighed. She lets me through the door inside and the guy who yelled at me was there. He had an attitude and said how am I supposed to weigh it in there. I said that what I was told to do by the guy outside. And that they need to get it together. He said well if you weren't doing things the wrong way it wouldn't be a problem. Well if any of them knew how to do their job and how to help customers then it wouldn't have been an issue. I'll just go to Omnisource. I've never had these kind of issues or been treated like this there.
So heard about them on radio so I went to check the place out had some cans and other metal. Worker brought out racks and I put cans in one and other metal in other rack bin. You unload outside so rainy day would not be good time to go. Worker took rack inside and weight each bin separate. Then go to other office and receptionist pays you for what you brought
Everyone very friendly. Nice clean place on cement ground your not driving thru dirt yard with scrap metal laying all over for you to drive over.
Clean, professional, fast, generous, friendly to a fault. Plus bonus days, giveaways and a free hot dog today! These guys are a world apart from anywhere else in the Toledo area.
Told us we could dump our trailer there over the phone before coming out. When we got there, they had us sit around for nearly an hour before telling us that we were not allowed to dump it. They were aware that we were told we could dump the trailer before we came out.
These folks DO NOT know how to load a trailer. DO NOT come here unless you are delivering local without a scale.
31000 on the Drives. 33900 on the trailer with the Tandems all the way back. Took them 3.5 hours to load. Looked like a circus. Loader told me not to worry about scaling.
DO NOT COME HERE. Until they figure out how to load this place will cause tickets and violations without concern. I told the lady when checking out, and she laughed. BAD BAD.
This is my first experience with this company. They didn't touch my load for 5 whole hours. Once they started unloading, they took 1.5hr. In total, they wasted 6.5hrs of mine. Hopefully I dont ever get sent this company again. For anyone else, take this into consideration
How well this facility is maintained needs to be mentioned first and foremost. I can confidently say that I've never been to a cleaner more organized scrap yard. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even feel right to use the words " scrap yard" to describe Kripke. You won't have to worry about long lines...or nails in your tires. Every time that I have went to Kripke, I've had a good experience: friendly staff.good prices on metal, and you're in and out in no time. Be prepared for an altogether new experience from what you're used to.
I am a 1 man crew doing sheet metal sheds and I have taken 10 truck and trailer loads of cut offs and like they say air in your tires and cash in your pocket they aren’t lying. Great place to go if you’re looking for a good deal on your scrap. 10/5 stars. Thank You Kripke you’ve helped me alot over the past 1 1/2 will always go here even if it’s out of my way.
These guys are awesome! Just got done scraping the guy that gets your info he explained what to do where to go so nice and friendly we will def come back to scrap this place was very clean too!!! Love this place!
