R&M policy you enter at your own risk so bring extra tires/plugs they don't provide plugs. Luckly one of their employees buys his own plugs and came out and helped me. Millions in equipment but not one skid steer with a broom attachment to sweep where public back up to shred pile. R&M may give you the best price, but you pay for it in tires, the employees deserve 10 stars and raises.
I went yesterday 10/2/2024 had some #1 copper... they bought it as number #2 copper and dumped the bucket of copper into there bin before I could show them that it was number #1 won't be returning. Go to kripke on central Avenue they will pay you for the correct metals that your bringing in. The other comments on this place speaks for itself.

Clearly said that to me in front of 5 other people refused to get a supervisor or manager I stood there.. waiting for one he asked me to leave so I won't be back.. Sold a load of scrap to them at .45 per pound took another load in and they said they over paid us and the price was only .25 per pound, so they deducted what they over paid out of the new load, figure .25 was still pretty good so brought 2 more loads and they dropped the price to .10 per pound, took 6 loads to Omni source and they paid .45 load
I always take my scrap here. But not anymore. I have good quality old world materials, and the past two times, they have gone out of their way to rip me off. Yeah, they pay more, but you never get it. Today, they took me for double what I was paid.
There are plenty of places to pick from. Go somewhere else. These guys are nothing but scam artists looking to get over on you.
Btw, old brass is green... just in case you may want to inform your uneducated staff. You paid dirty prices on clean 1800s materials.
No worries, the local thieves will still scrap here, one in the same, as is the staff.
Reply: It was a discrepancy of my ticket. Your staff took $2 a pound off my brass at 40lbs because they could tell it was brass. Even though the clown at the scale ised his grinder to grind it and shot the debris right in my face!!! Processed as dirty brass because it was green. I know what I should have gotten. Roughly $205.64, (206) but I got $71. I have no more time to waste with your company.
I will never go to the Lagrange location ever again in my life I went there to take in scrap found 6 screws infront of my truck I picked them up but still ended up with a gutter bolt in my day old brand new tire and of course nothing will get done about it they tell me there’s signs up but signs saying what the parking lot is full of screws yea let’s all go there sounds like fun NOT!!!!! So now here I gotta spend more money to get a new tire cuz this place don’t take care of there parking lot everyone be careful and honestly go to a different yard this place is not worth risking your tires and the price also I know I had more than what they gave me flat out people stay away from this yard it needs to be shut down or hire someone to stay on the parking lot with a magnet to pick up screws and bolts and nails it’s not hard it’s your yard at least keep the parking lot clean I totally understand if u go on the scale and drive to the back for nails and screws but come on the parking lot is a hazard sorry there’s no sign saying about screws on the parking lot some easy job run the magnet after people leave keep the parking lot clean instead of a tire trap so we go to the yard basically to turn in scrap to get money for bills or whatever we don’t go to the scrapyard to damage our trucks to get the money for our scrap just to fix the damages what sense does that make just stay away from this place
The people that work at this place feel like they above you and they can treat you any type of way and talk to you any type of way I got the man on camera talking crazy to me just because he felt like he could don't go here
Don't go here . They give you less money then they should . They cheat you on weight . They done it too me twice now. First time ok maybe a mistake . This time I caught them red handed . What a poor place to do business . Took them 240 Aluminum rims. Paid me for 160 of them . Never again what a poor excuse for a way to do business.
Thee only place to go for your local scrap drop offs and recycling. Point,plank,period. A bunch of good guys and great environment to go to. Thank you

I came in today to scrap some stuff for the 1st time and it went very well and the workers were very helpful definitely a good recommendation for this place....
This has been the only yard I've used since they have opened. I will no longer use these thieves! My last visit was this past Saturday, which will be my last visit! I brought in several 8' aluminum bar stocks along with severpieces and lengths of 1" diameter copper pipe. NEITHER OF WHICH WERE EVEN ON MY RECIEPT! On one of my previous visits the big guy at the indoor scale stopped me as I was pulling out and demanded I give him cash back as he claimed he over paid me!? I gave him money back as he started getting hostile. I had to make changes in my books as I have a business and claim my scrap. These are just 2 of my bad experiences at R&M, and these will be my last dealing with thieves and scandles!
Nake sure you know the prices ! I took in 5 alluminum rims that wasbsupposed to be 55cents a pound! And he told me they get the same as cast!!! 32 cents a pound!!! Use to be the only scrap yard i went to,but not anymore!!!! They lost my buisness!!!
