I am from a town about an hour north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was down in Vinton with a family matter. Halfway on my trip down my break started grinding. I was referred to Red's Auto, on July 1st right before the holiday weekend. I explained to him what was going on and I was only down here for a couple days. If there was any way he could fit me in Nathan said that he could definitely get me in. When I went to the shop we looked at worst case scenario. We thought that my left rear caliper was broke and he gave me a price for a caliber 4 rotors and four sets of brakes. Now any shop could have very easily said. Yep, your caliper was gone and you need four rotors and four sets of brakes. That was not the case when I went to pick up my car the next morning he said my caliper was fine. It was just stuck and just had to work with it a little bit. My front pads and front brakes were just fine. He replaced the rotors in the rear and the brakes. What he quoted me. I end up paying just half of what he quoted. I drove home 4 hours today with no issues with brakes. Car is working just fine. Nathan was able to fit me in in the last second on a holiday week and only charged me and fix what needed to be fixed. I highly recommend this place and he was a great dude to talk to while I was there.
Took my hand-me-down car for brakes and they did a great job, so I came back to replace some more parts. Both times I've been in and out the same day, which is great. Nathan is very knowledgeable, personable, and honest. I'll be taking my car back for more maintenance work I'm too lazy to do myself, even though Jeff got grease on my shifter knob.
I started going to Reds downtown when it opened years ago and had great experiences, it seems to be back to that high level of expertise again since Nathan arrived. He is so knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. Sean Call
Ray and Nathan are amazing! My car broke down just up the road on US 35 and was stranded. My car was towed to Red's. Found out the fuel injectors had gone bad. They ordered the part quickly (WAY faster than the dealership). I had to stay an extra day but they helped get me set up while I waited for my car. They were super patient with me knowing how stressful this all was. They went above and beyond to help me out. Praying it doesn't happen again, but I would have no problems going back to them.
I was travelling from Pennsylvania to Texas when my alternator died and left me stranded. The guys at Reds were EXTREMELY helpful, and went beyond my expectations to get me back on the road again.
They helped me find a nearby motel for the night, and had the repairs finished the very next morning. I am so grateful for the amazing work they did on the car, and for just being decent people helping me out when I really needed it.
Red's Auto Center will definitely be my first call when I'm in the area!
What a day! Left Indy at 3am this morning and my some hose came off. Mind you I’m with my 10 year old nephew. Called Reds to get towed, and they met me at the Love’s gas station. Spoke with Tammy, she’s terrific. John was the tow guy, he’s absolutely amazing! I was thinking about staying at a local hotel, but my sister came to pick me up. Went by the shop and my car was exactly where it was supposed to be! Car is being looked at 1st thing in the morning so I will follow up! As of now even after a very frustrating day, I feel like I had angels all around me!
July 2 - The follow up!! Got my car back the next day and it’s running fine. Made it to my destination! Overall experience was amazing! That doesn’t happen a lot in these situations! Blessed ❤️ thank you to Reds for turning a frustrating event into a great experience.
dump truck broke down called this company and they was right here! The worker Connor is very nice knew what he was doing DEFINITELY recommend them if your ever in need!
Drove to OH to purchase an older Jeep at the dealership and something didn’t sound right so I pulled into Red’s and Ray and Norm offered to look at it. We found several problems and when I asked how much for the inspection they said, no charge. I wish everyone could be this kind and professional. We talked a bit and they gave me a quote for what needed fixed. Thank you so much for accommodating us on such short notice at 5:00pm on a hot day!
Took my wife’s minivan in because the brakes were squealing and Ray set us up for a brake job. An hour later, he called and said the brake pads were fine and didn’t need replaced, so he cleaned them and looked everything over. When I came to pick it up, he said no charge! I asked what about labor?! He replied with “just think of us when you need something worked on”. Well I did think about it and Ray just got Red’s another lifetime customer for both our vehicles!! I always heard the horror stories of mechanics trying to get you for more than what’s actually wrong. Not Red’s! Very honest and fair. Highly HIGHLY recommend this business!
The folks at Red’s were so kind when my car broke down. I live in another state and had no idea where to take it. Red’s was highly recommended by the gentleman at the hotel and he was right! They got my car fixed quickly and even topped off the oil and changed my wiper blades while they were at it. So now I highly recommend them too!
I had my overheating car towed to REDS. The guys were very honest in diagnosing all the issues with it and then also very patient with me in awaiting my descions.
Jon and Ray both did an AMAZING job getting my car fixed up and back on the road. I'm lucky to get a few more miles out of this 4runner thanks to these guys going above and beyond for me.

They accurately identified my problem as the wheel bearing and efficiently replaced it within a few hours.

They are very professional and honest. I needed my box truck fixed. It wasn’t able to get fixed until the next day. So they gave me and my wife a ride to the nearest hotel and picked me back up the following day when the truck was done. ?.
Went to Reds to get my brakes looked at, and the oil changed before a trip to Florida.
They replaced the front rotors and brakes all the way around.
About a week ago, I went back to have my brakes rechecked due to a slight vibration in the steering wheel when I applied the brakes.
I also wanted to get the oil changed, fluid levels checked, and tires rotated.
They could find nothing wrong with the brakes, but after rotating the tires, the car drove better.
I was very pleased with their service and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

My transmission went out and they said they could get the transmission in and replaced by the next week. It took them over 4 weeks, leaving me stuck paying hundreds for a rental car. If I would’ve known it would’ve taken this long, I would’ve taken my van someplace else. I do not recommend.
My family and I were traveling through West Virginia late at night when part of the road gave way and blew not one, but both of our right tires and cracked one of our rims. The roadside assist through our insurance company was less than helpful. They sent a tow truck to the wrong location and told me to find my own transportation for myself, my husband, and 3 children in car seats. We were no where near a town and all repair shops were closed for the weekend. Uber and Taxi services do not exist in that part of West Virginia. I started googling tow companies near our location and was told repeatedly that our car could be towed but no one would help with transportation for my family. By God's grace, I finally found Tami at Red's Auto Center. She began contacting everyone she could, suggested hotels that were close by and she stayed in contact with me until my family was safe. She helped to set up a medical transport company to take my family to a safe location and provided towing for our vehicle. She spent over 2 hours of her Saturday night helping us. I can not thank her enough.
We had the church bus out on a trip and had a tire/wheel issue. They rescued us and fixed a problem caused by a different shop! Great people. We were blessed to find them. Highly recommend.
One of the nicest guy I've meet. Went out of his way to help me. Had a tire that needed plugged but ended up needing a new one. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend to everyone.
All of my automotive work is done at Reds in Gallipolis. Prices are reasonable for both repairs and tires. The mechanics are knowledgeable and explain the reason for the repair. I appreciate their comments and recommendations .
Red's tow truck rescued my family after we got stuck on the side of the road with a sudden coolant leak via AAA. They towed us to the nearest auto shop where we were able to find a part and get our van fixed. The truck driver was so nice. We really appreciate the help!
Ray & (I believe his name is) Mike, are AMAZING! I was in a pinch trying to help my sister before she deployed overseas for a year and needed to drive her original Bronco several states away. Realized the night before I needed to leave that the rear brake line was leaking brake fluid. Every other shop laughed at the idea of getting me in to do it on short notice, but this shop was so kind and not only got me in, but were finished very quickly. Labor was extremely fair and so were parts! Thanks to everyone at Red’s Auto Repair for helping a stressed mama that was helping her big sister as she serves our country! ❤️
I took my truck in to be serviced and staff was very welcoming and friendly. Sam did an amazing job finding what was causing the noise my truck was making and the price was very reasonable! Will be coming back. Ask for a Mechanic name Sam.
Patrick the tow truck driver was a really nice guy my grandson thought he was funny and the dispatcher whose name was kat was really helpful getting me set up for a tow would recommend them to anyone
These guys are the best. They go the extra mile and are the nicest guys. We had a tie rod go out 1hr 1/2hrs from home, they had it fixed in 30mins. U guys are awesome. Prices are reasonable also.
Towed our truck from Gauley Bridge West Virginia to their shop in Gallipolis. Had the truck back on the road within 24 hours. GREAT response and GREAT service.
Horrible judgmental people. Would never refer anyone to Red's. Car broke down on the way to visit family across the state. Instead of fixing the car and helping a stranded single mom these horrible people choose to harass her by calling the police. Who ultimately had to leave because they found she was doing nothing wrong. The owner and his crew should be ashamed of themselves. They definitely know nothing about hospitality.
Have always been treated kindly and fairly. Have no problem referring people to Reds. Vehicles are there a little longer than I think it should but the kindness and fairness offsets the wait.
