How does this place have 4 stars when I e gone thru 100 reviews and every single one is a 1 or a 2. Not a single 3 or higher! I just started trash pick up like 6 months ago. Every few wks my trash is skipped. I put it out the night before and always in the same spot. Last week it was skipped again. I called & they said they'd be back out to get it. 2 days later I called again. They said they'd be out within 48hrs, it's still there & pick up is tomorrow again. Now I have 2 trash cans full of trash & if it's skipped again I'm cancelling & going with the other company. Who I hear is cheaper anyhow

Rumpke driver skipped my trash pick up again! On top of missing my pick up, they were 3 days late! No weather delays, no holidays but for some reason they never picked up on on my scheduled day- its now Saturday and they flew past my house- Last month, they neglected to pick up my trash and I was charged extra fees for addl bags added to my next pick date. I had another week of trash bags to add to my container, because they failed to do their job, but I get charged for addl bags? Done! Terrible service all together, too much stress & hassle for me and the Customer service representatives arent any help. I wanted to stay loyal since I was with Cyclone prior to the ownership change. I miss Cyclone and their great service! I will change my trash services next week.

This has become a recurring issue, and the handling of it is unacceptable. My garbage was not picked up Friday. I called that same day and was told a message would be sent. No one came. When I called again today, I was informed pickup will not occur until Friday, yet I was still expected to pay for the missed service. I was then told my original call somehow didn’t count because I didn’t continue calling over the weekend, and Monday being a holiday. Customers should not have to repeatedly follow up to ensure a basic scheduled service is completed after it has already been reported once. This is not the first time this has happened, and leaving ten bags of garbage sitting in my driveway all week, with a dog, is more than an inconvenience; it’s a sanitation issue created by your failure to provide the service being billed. After another 20 minutes spent arguing with a customer service representative just to receive a credit, it was finally issued. A customer should not have to debate for reimbursement for work that was never done because of your rediculous policy of having a costumer call more than once after the service day. Why was the garbage not collected on the scheduled service day? After I reported it and a message was sent to the driver, why is the responsibility now on me to ensure your employees complete their job? Billing for services not performed and placing the burden on the customer to chase resolution reflects poorly on your company. This needs to be corrected going forward. I do not recommend this company and if I had the choice I would change who provided my service.

Disappointing service. Never picked up my regular trash or the other half of my couch on scheduled bulk pickup. Called every day. They told me to leave everything on the road and they will come get it. Day 5, trash and bulk are still on the road and now they want me to pay a fee to pickup the other half of my couch. Conflicting information among employees and did not receive regular service that we paid for.

Adding on to my previous review. After 19 days I finally received a dumpster. Even though they tried delivering 2 hours away from me. Called today to see when I can expect it to be emptied, as its full. You know because i waited 19 days for it. I talked to 3 separate people. All saying they don't even show I have an active account nor a dumpster. Does anyone here know what they are doing?! Called the number suggested in my previous review and go figure they were no help. So now im stuck with an overflowing dumpster with 0 idea when it will be emptied. Should of just stayed using republic.

Did not get out of the truck and move can so arm could pick it up emptied 2 cans and left a full one 12 inches off the street by mailbox. If the bags are all over the ground they have to pick them up. I don’t get it you try to have everything nice and neat for these guys give a holiday tip and you still get crap service. All to frequent with Rumke. Don’t bother calling in they’ll blow you off too.

Scheduled for a dumpster to be dedelivered, on December 5th.. Was told it would come the 15th. It never did. Then I was told the 19th, again never showed. Called back and it "will definitely be delivered the 22nd" And as you can guess. It STILL never came. Waited for calls & emails back, never got those either. Wanted to switch from republic because I heard rumpkee was better. Definitely not looking much better!

My neighbor and I witnessed a Rumpke truck driving with its bed partially up pull at my electric line causing damage to where it connects to my house. I have called the office and reported this incident or checked on the status 15-20 times and the “department that handles this” is always conveniently not available and never calls me back as the representative says they will. It has now been nearly 6 months. This isn’t a company I would trust or that seems to have ethics.

I see others review on here about missed pick ups. Twice in one month my recycle can was missed. I call Customer Service who says they will escalate to management and a week later and almost garbage day and no pick up. This company is ridiculous. Its ashame my city has contracted them. Never had such lousy service. Going to speak with my councilman to see if they can contract a better company in the future. This company absolutely stinks. The drivers seem to pick and choose which houses they want to avoid as to which one they pick up at. Unreal!!!

One of the worst businesses iv ever dealt with. They raised there prices with out confirmation, they turfed my yard now every year, they charged me for services iv never received and now they’re trying to charge me an additional fee to even come pick up my trash that’s been overflowing for about a month now. The guy I spoke with on the phone just kept talking over me. And now for the third time iv called to try and resolve this I’m still waiting on a call back I’m not holding my breathe on. If you are a business owner I couldn’t recommend more to go somewhere else. I’d put negative stars if I was able too.

One of my cans was left half full on Thursday. Called Thursday before they closed. Was told if it was still there in the morning to call back. Called Friday morning. Was told they'd pick it up that day. Still there on Saturday. I left a message for them to call me Monday. I called them Monday morning. They said there's a 48hr window for "missed pick-ups". Great. That means they'll be out Monday. Nope. Called Tuesday morning. Was told again there is a 48 hr window. I told the girl named Cole that even w the 48 hrs, it should have been picked up Monday. Its now 8:30pm Tuesday, and guess what? Nobody picked up my trash. Im not very happy about this.

Signed up for service 3.5 weeks ago and our trash hasn’t been picked up at all. I have 3 weeks worth of trash sitting at the curb and have called over 10 times to try and get the issue fixed and still nothing. Not to mention they BILLED me for trash that still hasn’t been picked up 🤣

I was a Cyclone customer for years and even convinced most of my neighbors to switch from Republic Rumpke bought out Cyclone and our service has been TERRIBLE! Their driver dropped our trash bin into the truck and drove off. The next day, a Friday, I called and the rep ordered me a new bun. She told me it would take 5 to 10 days and I should still put my trash out on regular pick up day. Of course they didn't puck up my garbage bags. I've called at least 6 times over 2 weeks because they havent delivered my trash bin. I called yesterday and was told she would send an email over and call me back. When she called back she said I was on the delivery schedule for a new bin for today. When I got home from work today, there was no new trash bin so I called AGAIN and she told me they tried to deliver the new bin but there was already a new one at my house. This isn't true and I have a camera on the front of my garage and no truck showed up. She asked me to verify my address, gave me a different address than the one I just gave her to look up my account and said they must have gone to the wrong address and she would send off an email. Its been really hot in Ohio and I have 2 weeks of garbage piled up in my garage. I pay my bill on time. I've been lied to by Rumpke staff every time I've called. What happened to customer service??? I asked for a manager and she told me to habe a good day and the call ended. To say im angry and disappointed is an understatement.

Terrible roll off dumpster service. Seems no one from scheduling to dispatch is on the same page resulting in costing their customers time and money. Management has zero interest in making things right. Ashamed that Rumpke dumpsters were ever on my property.

When the recycle gets picked up they dump it so fast that it flies/spills all over and they drive off like they didn’t see it raining garbage. I go down and clean it up and I call to report. Nothing changes. When you set extra garbage out to be picked up that doesn’t fit in a can, it’s a coin toss if they are actually gonna take it, even if you call ahead or follow guidelines. I call when they don’t take the garbage and am told they will put a request in for someone to come back out same day and pick it up. No one has EVER shown back up. We called a couch in to be picked up and we wrapped it in plastic wrap and followed all instructions and set it out to be picked up. We watched the guy take the garbage that day and he emptied the cans and left the couch. We had to go outside and ask him to come back for the couch while he was getting the neighbors garbage. He came back swearing and got it but I’m sure it only because he got caught.

2 times I’ve not had my dumpsters emptied and when I call about it, they want to charge me $93 for an extra pick up! It’s not an extra pick up, you didn’t pick up when you were supposed to!! Then they can’t even come until 3 or 4 days later when it’s time for regular pick up!!!

Im beyond disappointed. I ordered dumpster service for my buisness, as we just purchased a new property. Dumpster rental with weekly removal. The dumpster was scheduled to be here Thursday of last week. It never came. Every time I call I get the run around. Im put on hold for 20 to 30 mins at a time before the call disconnects. I am going to begin searching for alternative companies if I don't get a response. Save yourself the headache, and don't use this place.

My trash gets picked up on Mondays. On Monday of this week Rumpke emptied my trash and threw my yard waste in there truck. When I called them about it I was told I would get a supervisor to call me never did . Had to call them back . The supervisor was suppose come to the house to look a the video I have of them throwing my can in the truck. Of course he never showed up . I guess they think it's a joke we'll I don't. So if you are considering use there services DONT.there rude they lie they steal trash cans and think it's not there problem. Videos don't lie . I've given them a 1 star rating. So know I don't have my yard waste can so I'm going to stuff my trash can with my yard waste . Do t bother calling them they tell you WHT you want to hear then never show up.

I have been missed for 4 weeks now and I called once twice and sometimes three times a week. They are always apologetic and are like well come get it and never show up. I am so upset with this company. They are not doing their job. I will be looking for a different company because this is bullshit.

Well it seemed like a good fit when we first signed up. I utilized their commercial (business) trash services for one pickup per week. Then eventually had the need for two pickups per week. Well it has slowly turned into a problem. They randomly do not come to do a pickup, but when I call customer service says they did even though they did not so the drivers are just skipping us and lying. Customer service is absolutely no help and extremely rude. Let me start with since I switched to two trash pickups a week, it has been pretty consistent at about a 99% consistency rate that they pick up my garbage every Tuesday and Friday before 7:00 a.m. Well this week my business dumpster has been completely overflowing because they did not come for my scheduled pickup on Tuesday apparently, And now it is 6:20 p.m. Friday and still have not shown up to do my Friday pickup. My bill is paid on time and in full every month I have never had a past due balance or anything like that. This is what I'm currently looking at, we can't even throw out our garbage for the weekend when it's going to be hot and humid. So I guess it's time to start looking for another business garbage service in the area

Rumpke the trash company. Lets see where to begin in early April I had to call because for some reason the driver missed our house out of the whole block and i live in the center of the street. Fast forward to memorial weekend i put it out on Tuesday because it was a holiday week i0 understand. On Tuesday the driver apparently came and took out grass clippings, but for some reason they forgot our trash. I called that day to rumpke to let them know what happened. The dispatcher apologized and said someone will come in 24 hrs. Thursday comes no one i called again. Dispatcher apologized said give us 24 hours. Well now it is friday no one came. I have had the trash out on the curb for 5 days now. But the company said give us 24 hrs. Dispatcher were apologizing but the trash still sits.

We pay for unlimited trash pick up and they haven’t removed the trash for over 3 weeks. The driver lies, never gets out of the truck and says the bags were frozen to the ground. Our camera shows him never getting out. Plus when we head out to assist he quickly pulls away. Customer service promises a person will call back, they don’t. They say a driver will be back out to pick up, still they haven’t.

Unfortunately, my experience with Rumpke Waste & Recycling has not been positive. One of the biggest issues is their frequent and unexplained price increases. These hikes often occur without any prior notice, leaving customers frustrated and feeling blindsided. Additionally, their service has been inconsistent. There have been several occasions where trash pick-up has been delayed, sometimes not happening until the day after the scheduled service. This unreliability creates inconvenience and potential sanitation concerns, particularly during warmer months. While Rumpke has the potential to provide quality service, these ongoing issues with pricing transparency and scheduling make it difficult to recommend them at this time. Improvements in communication and consistency would go a long way in rebuilding customer trust.

We switched to Rumpke just over a year ago. Tim has been great to work with should we need anything. Our driver has been excellent to work with should we have any issues upon pick up. Payment is easy and more economical that our previous waste handler. We were able to increase our pick ups to twice a week for less money than once per week with other company. As a growing small business this was an easy decision.

We had some issues in the beginning of our service with Rumpke for our dumpster but customer service helped to remedy it quickly. Now everything seems smooth and we have not had any other issues. If we need an extra pick up, we just contact them and they take care of it quickly. Pleased with the service.

Company asked me to submit a review. These are the issues we’ve experienced over 4 years of service with them. Overall, ok trash service. - Inconsistent pick-up times, often between 2am-5am waking us up. - Trash cans are thrown after emptied instead of stood up causing cans to crack and bust in the corners. - Lids not returned to can and just thrown all over yard and driveway as well. - Any trash that animals have gotten into and scattered around the bins isn’t picked up and again scattered around the yard. - When I reported a really extreme situation, l asked their office for a more consistent pick up time closer to 6am or later due to the animals in the area getting into the trash. They said they couldn’t do that but the workers should pick up any trash scattered due to this issue. I explained that this wasn’t happening. The office said to send pictures of when these items occur but nothing has changed since I’ve sent photos. - Trash pick up has also been skipped a few occasions even when bins were out the night before. When I called, they’ve sent a crew out next day.

It’s been two weeks, and you still haven’t picked up my garbage. Once is an accident, twice is negligence. I called to let someone know, and they guaranteed me that someone would pick it up yesterday. That didn’t happen. I called again today; was guaranteed it would be picked up by 6pm. Never happened. I even had the city of Westlake call you and verify that it would be picked up. You legit have one job. How is it possible to fail so hard at it? Update: you’ve also thrown my recycling can, that I’ve paid for, every single time you’ve emptied it without bothering to put the lid back on. I called to talk about reimbursement seeing as I can’t very well get credit for my service due to not getting a direct bill, and you haven’t returned my calls.

When shopping for a rubbish removal company. DO NOT CHOOSE RUMPKE. Very poor customer service. After their front loader truck ripped down my overhead communication wiring they denied responsibility and refused to pay for repairs. Christine Mixon sent me a denial letter and after 3 days of messages she still would not return my calls. I then contacted Ron Schnug which claimed to side with his driver and still deny responsibility. Sad for them there poor business practices have lost them three accounts.
