One of the few very honest mechanics. Everybody else I called about an issue with my truck thought it was the transmission, took my truck here to Stan and his guys. Diagnosed it with me there turns out it wasnt the transmission. He changed a few things to try and correct the issue but figured out it needs engine work. Thank yall for not selling me something I didnt need and for the HONESTY all the way through the process and pointing me in the right direction!

I would recommend Raco to anyone experiencing transmission trouble Stan and his crew have went above and beyond for me with my van and truck they rebuilt my transmission in my van 160,000 miles ago. I stopped by recently to have him check the health of my transmission because I am a expedite driver I travel thousands of miles every year and do not want to get stuck out on the road. He did a thorough check and even updated the programming I stopped today with my beater with a heater dodge on the verge of taking it to the junkyard he figured it out in five minutes now shifting like a dream I would recommend these guys to anybody

I cannot recommend Raco Transmission enough! Stan and is whole staff have gone above and beyond to take care of my family. After breaking down out of state on a holiday weekend and not knowing who to call I just started calling everyone within an hour drive from us. Not only did Stan call me back on a HOLIDAY when he was closed but also knew exactly who I should call for a tow and started my truck first thing the next morning to help us get back on the road as soon as possible! His company is what a true small American owned business is supposed to be! He cares about his customers and is an incredible transmission mechanic! Every time I have had a question he has taken the time to stop and explain exactly what is going on! I have not only gotten to meet his incredible staff but also his wonderful mother and children and they have made sure that we have everything we need as we don’t have a running vehicle at the moment! They have brought us everything from homemade cookies to local cheese and most of all wonderful conversation! This is more than just a transmission shop, this is family, this is community, this is a caring small business.

On Friday July 1st the transmission in our 2017 GMC 2500HD began to give me trouble, we had a trip planned to pull our camper to East Harbor State Park leaving at 5:00 pm on Thursday July 8th, I explained the poor timing of our transmission to go on strike and he told us that he couldn’t make any promises, but he said that they would do everything they could to have us going despite it being a four day holiday weekend. Well they were awesome! They had our transmission fixed and back to us by 3:45 pm on Thursday July 8th just in time to hook up the camper and leave! Now I understand that things don’t always go as planned and it doesn’t always work that way, but they saved our vacation this time!

Called to set up an appointment to have my truck looked at. They told me to just come anytime. I went there right after the phone call and they didn’t even look at my truck. He said he didn’t have the time or patience to try to deal with whatever could be wrong with it and told me to go somewhere else. Needless to say, I am not happy and I will never recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for wasting my time.
Everyone was so nice, kept me well informed of what was going on with car. They went above and beyond what was expected (way above)while never charging me a cent more than estimate. Fantastic work and service, went there with a transmission that was slipping and they rebuilt it and it feels great. Went above and beyond my expectations. Will recommend Stan and his shop for every automatic transmission issue that there is!
Had my Jeep 4 weeks for a $30 part. And yes i found transmission part all over internet. Blew my computer by not unhooking battery before welding skid plate back on. Got Jeep back 5 weeks in shop and windshield wipers not working. They said wasn't there fault! Stan the owner said he put a new computer in but once a mentioned court in said he didn't he just found fuse to computer. If you want to wait on your vehicle for weeks and listen to a liar go here.
Absolutely wonderful people, from the owner to the lady at the desk. I drove from 2 hours away and he made sure he was able to accommodate me. Not only that but went above and beyond what he needed to do! Thanks!
Raco keeps you updated with how fixing your car is going and does a really good job very quickly. I would highly suggest them to anyone who needs transmission work done.
Did not communicate well but when they did, they're friendly and informative. The store took a while to get the job done but overall they did a good job.
They think everybody is stupid,they tell you one price,and the tell you another once the work is done are your car is in their possession.Then they threaten you with taking ur car if it takes you sum time to pay and thats less then thirty days.
