I had the best experience at this store!
I've got a Mercedes and it's pretty finicky. I stopped into another location and they didn't test my battery and alternator correctly, leaving me thinking I need a new alternator ($1K installed!) I felt like the test was improperly done, so I called then went to this Advance. The test had been done improperly, and my alternator was fine. Then they thought to test the aux battery, and wouldn't you know.... it was useless.
James went above and beyond to get it taken care of, and Chi was a big help while I searched other parts. I'm thankful for these two and will definitely be returning!!!! Best parts store I've personally encountered! :)
It's alright. Definitely not woman friendly. They always try to upsell me the craziest things because I'm a woman. My brother is a mechanic, and they think I'm stupid.
The young man scanned my vehicle and couldn't give me a printout of what's wrong with my vehicle or even actually tell me what's wrong with it. Just said possibly a misfire. The guy is definitely lacking experience.
The guy ran a diagnostic test on my car and told me it was my alternator. So, I stayed home all weekend waiting for a shop to open on Tues because it was a holiday weekend. We'll, my car was dead and called AAA to tow my car to the shop. AAA ran the same test and said it was my battery. He jumped my battery, I drove to the shop, got my battery changed and back on the road in an hour. Could have had that battery taken care of at Advance Auto on that Saturday and been able to enjoy my weekend with no stress if they knew what they were doing :-/
First time stopping at Bridgeport Ohio shop and parts expert was very helpful and found the part I needed and got it ordered. Thanks for all your help speedy.
Justin is amazing, he helped me find the item I was looking for by actually contacting his resources for help. He is good at what he does, you will have a customer as long as he is on shift. Thank you Justin!!
Friendly staff( most of them) and they try to be helpful, but sometimes they don't have what I need in stock when there website said they do. It happens on a regular basis. I haven't figured it out yet.
They are friendly. The staff has knowledge on their parts. Prices are very competive. Things are bery easy to find in store. Will install windshield wipers and batteries for free. They will check codes that the computer gives in your car for free.
