The driver was nice but the dispatcher on 2-27 was terrible. He was very rude. He answered the phone by saying they are busy and best they can do is put on a list, and when I had to call for update as young girl was waiting 3 hours at this point in unknown city, the update was: the more I call the longer the wait very rudely. I had only called once. I called 701 Towing to see if they could pull out of ditch but the wait was longer but they were extremely nice and understanding. I get you are busy but you are doing a job and no need to be nasty.
If I could leave zero stars I would, I had a car towed to a dealership and the after hours staff at interstate towing told me to leave my keys in my car, I gave them the make and model they said okay make sure you lock the keys in the car as it will be easier for them, I did that, however they had troubles towing my car since they couldn't get inside the car, the lady who was helping tried to tow my 4 wheel drive car as you would a 2 wheel drive, she realized that isn't going to work so she added two extra lifts to get the car fully off the ground, towed it to the dealership but they can't fix my car because guess what, the keys are locked inside. I tried calling interstate towing to complain and the so called owner acted very childish repeatedly saying we did not tell you to lock the keys in the car when in fact they did. He would interrupt me repeating that same sentence. After 8 times of lying to me he just said, well you're going to have to figure it out yourself. This company takes zero accountability for they're employees mistakes, this company is very rude and condescending. Don't go through these people if you don't want a headache. $280 just for a lady to almost break my 4 wheel drive car, and to be told figure it out yourself after they messed up. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM
Trash company. Poor communication skills and overcharge people. Horrible customer service. Very unhelpful and fos. You'll be able to tell upon arrival. Have fun. I would give 0 stars if it was possible.
A couple weeks ago I had a vehicle locked out on me with the keys inside. I called in and they responded in a timely manner. Adam was the one that came out and got the vehicle unlocked within minutes, very good customer service, and responded quickly. Especially being in the middle of the night (sorry about that haha). Otherwise very good service. Go Interstate Towing!!
1 star is 1 too many for these thieves. $430 to get my 7.3 back after a 4 mile tow i and my father (Bjorn Flaten) never asked for. And you guys appear to be highly unprofessional seeing how you respond to peoples reviews. This whole operation is highly highly shady and I truley hope someone sees this review and chooses anyone else to tow their vehicle. 0/5 stars is what I’d like to give this company but Thats not an option.
"Interstate towing" - more like highway robbery! Minor fender bender and the GFPD called these thieves without my consent. So $430 for a 4 mile tow that I hadn't asked for in the first place. $25 clean up fee with no cleanup needed. $75 storage fee for the 30 minutes it was there and $50 gate fee to get my property off their lot. Only giving one star because no stars isn't an option - but it's definitely one too many. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Kelsey was sent out to tow my car. She went above and beyond to take care of my vehicle, making sure to not damage it. Absolutely recommend calling them if you need a tow.
They crushed my car after having it for thirty days. I was told the rust on the rotors was proof that it was abandoned (I was battling a sudden injury and had no idea it was even taken until 3 weeks later. My car had a TON of personal possessions, many of which were irreplaceable and/or expensive tools and they just destroyed everything!!!? I was in their office on day 30 and they basically said "tough luck" because my car has already been "processed" and crushed. They said they didn't remove any of my things and it all got crushed with my car - yeah right. They've towed me before and had my info but they didn't bother contacting me. I still don't think there's any legal way they could've done it so fast. This loss was and still is heartbreaking and they have zero effs to give.
Brought my car in to get a little bit of work done… it ended up being a major engine and computer problem. The shop manager (Matt) and the owner (Adam) kept me updated and in the loop with every step of the process. They would call and ask before they did any work in case i didn’t want them to do. They were all extremely professional and dedicated to me, the customer. Only complaint is when you are there in person, their phone keeps ringing off the hook… but i guess that is a good thing. I would highly recommend.
They came and took my vehicle off off the property that I live because my roommate had a problem with me. Is this for real? You can just have a problem with someone call you guys and you'll come and pick up any vehicle? From anywhere? Because of a roommate squabble wow.
I have to say our driver Adam Saved us from being stranded on the side of the interstate 29 just north of Grandforks. We came down to the states from Manitoba for a little day trip and some shopping. Well on our way back home our car just died (alternator would not charge the battery and left us stranded). Long story short Adam was Amazing, he got to us very quickly and was able to take us just shy of the border where we had CAA waiting to take us the rest of the way home. Highly recomend, and thanks again for your awesome job :)
Adam saved my holiday when my tire blew out on I29. He was in the area, and came as soon as he finished the job he was on. He gave me tips on how to be safer if I ever had to pull off on the highway again, and after looking at all my tires, encouraged me to replace them before I continued on to Fargo.
His dispatcher was also very helpful, providing me with an honest estimate of when the driver would get to me, and offering advice on where I could get replacement tires, given that I expected to arrive in Grand Forks after most places closed.
Highway robbery. Do NOT let the police call these crooks as a 'curtesy call' for you. This company will charge you $400+ for that 'curtesy'. When I called, they ever bragged about how they use the court system to make it happen. There are other operators that will charge you $75 and not try and scam you after an accident. The city of Grand Forks Police department, trust them, not this crook.
EDIT: More to add on how shady this place is. I asked to get access to my vehicle the next day. I knew I was going to be charged for it. I told them I had medical equipment and personal items I wanted out. The person on the phone demanded three different times what my condition was or what the equipment was. I refused to tell him. I told them I would call the police (I did) if they continue to refuse access. The only let me in after I called the police, so when you suggest I wasted the police time, realize, if you were an ethical business I would not have had to. Stop shifting the blame when you are at fault.
I was a combat medic/combat nurse, these scammers think by calling me too weak to handle a Prius? I hit a deer going full speed on the highway. After I stopped, I checked my car, and backchecked to see what I hit to make sure no one was injured. I just got my bell rung, *I* go looking to make sure no one else is hurt. *I* cleared the highway of debris. Their response to an accident, fake charges. They stated they cleaned it, and charged me for it. Look how long there GPS has them out there. The guy hooked up my car and that's it. They charged me for stuff they never did. Look at their reply to me? My story can be backed by two sheriff officers.
I'm proud of my service, I'm proud of my actions after the accident. You should be ashamed of taking advantage of the situation, lying about your 'service" you provided, and your actions afterwards.

Look at my reviews history, I rarely/never go negative. Look at there's, every time defensive. There is a reason 1 in 5 reviews give you a "1". Again, their reply speaks to their character.
They did an amazing job recovering my property and had an insanely fast tow truck arrival time while I was on the side of the road (Gateway drive). Thanks Matt and especially TIM for the special help. Thank you one hundred. ? ?
Interstate was awesome compared to both my Hyundai and Progressive. Hyundai representative told me a tow truck will be there in two hours but came back in 4 hours saying they can’t find a towing company. Progressive said I’m on my own when they saw where my car broke down. Both left me out to dry and asked me to find my own towing.
Interstate delivered. They said they’ll be there in 1.5 hour, and a flatbed truck turned up and picked my car up. The driver, Damion, was a nice guy and fun to hang out.
We called them road service for a brake chamber to be installed in our trailer. They did replace it and 75 miles away driver notice abs light to came on to the trailer , we stop at Ta that was available and they found that it was improper installed. we have the invoice and comments from the technician about this issue. We called them back and they start giving us all reasons not to recognise their fault. Will never trust this shop again
Absolutely fantastic customer service from Mr. Tim today as I got caught in a high snow drift while avoiding an accident. He was kind and knowledgeable and that sincerely helped put me at ease throughout the process. It was quick, convenient, and I have no complaints!
Hopefully I won’t be needing them again any time soon, but I would definitely use this company again.
One of our drivers broke down outside of Grand Forks late one afternoon-hauling a heavy load. Dave and Adam were so helpful in providing assistance to our driver AND our trailer! They got the truck to the shop for us and all ended well! Thank you again for the wonderful customer service. We greatly appreciate it.
I went in the ditch on the south end of East Grand Forks this morning. Dean was out to me in about half an hour, which I thought was pretty quick given my location. Dean was very friendly and he got me out in no time! Highly recommend and will call them again if I ever need!
I had to get my truck towed to the mechanics due to extreme loss of transmission fluid. I called over there and the guy who answered was very friendly and told me someone will be on the way shortly. He gave me an accurate ETA (not that it matters I wasn't in any hurry) and told me they would charge the mechanics. Super.
The five star service really came in with the driver. He called me and made sure I had an updated eta and verified my info and who I was. When I got there we talked about the truck and said that he can take the keys and bring them over to the mechanic and that I didn't have to do anything else. After that I had to get to work and took my wife's car. About halfway He calls me again and confirmed which mechanics location I chose (it was Braatens and they have two locations in town) so I told them the south one please. And he called ahead to verify where to put the vehicle and that it was coming and gave them the keys. Super friendly guy and hopefully i won't but if I ever needed a tow again I would use them and for sure recommend them. It came out to $125 for the fee which honestly isn't bad at all. I billed my insurance that.
Everyone was really nice to get me the help I needed. They took my phone number and kept me updated when they were coming to get me. Mr. Dean was the one who came and got me out of the ditch. He was really nice and easy to communicate with. We had to take my vehicle to the motor pool. I was stuck with him the car for a while but he made me comfortable. He’s more like a big teddy bear. I just want to say thank you Mr. Dean and for the entire team at interstate towing and recovery!
This place is AMAZING! They came and unlocked my vehicle for free! I had a 6 year old out something in her ear. I accidentally locked my key in my vehicle due to the fact I was panicking! After hours of trying to break in, calling my insurance company, onstar, and the police department, this was my last resource. This is not considered an emergency however it is considered a non-urgent emergency. I did not have the funds as I am a single mother. It was a Sunday, so it’s weekend/after hrs and they had no problem assisting me to get my daughter to the emergency room. They were very kind and fast! I’d rate them 100 out of 100 if I could! Thank you guys so much!
We had a great experience with the work they did for us. We had a large trailer flip over today, and the wreckers got there within 30-45 minutes and did a great job.
If I’m going to be honest, it was a little pricey for their services. But the drivers were nice, and went above and beyond to help us. So it was worth it in my opinion.
THIS COMPANY IS AMAZING! Broke down on the way to the airport. They came and got us 45 minutes away, rapidly. Got us to Grand Forks rapidly and ensured we didn't miss our flight. It's not often you think about rating a tow company, but when the service is this amazing, you literally have to! Thank you so much Interstate!
I needed my vehicle towed due to the starter needing to be replaced. The person with whom I spoke on the phone e was very cool. Some places won't tow a vehicle that's in a garage, but the Interstate folks didn't blink an eye about it. Price wise they were very reasonable. I expected to pay $300, but was charged $75. The driver was very personable. An all around positive experience.
Not the cheapest prices around for a repair, but they got me rolling with a new rear end in 6 hours from the time I made the phone call. They went above and beyond any other shop I've dealt with to get the job done as fast as possible. The cost was more than worth it.

Nice guys work in this company. Just got help with my broken semi trailer. Showed up in 30 mins which is really fast for that type of service. Highly professional. They are working with semis as well.
After locking our keys in our car, we called Interstate to help us out. I'm not sure how long trucks usually takes from call to arrival, but it arrived within a half an hour of us calling. Once on scene, Matt quickly set to work, getting us our keys within 5 minutes. He was courteous, professional, and friendly when interacting with us. The services as well weren't overwhelmingly expensive. Overall I would say we had a very positive experience and would consider using them again if we run into further issues.
