I had a wonderful experience with Franky at this location. My battery was on the fritz and Franky was kind enough to change it for me in the rain! He really went above and beyond to help me out and I truly appreciate him!

I just want to say that they were top tier there with customer service. I went to buy just a battery terminal, and there was a young man there that changed it for me and all. Really can’t get any better than that. Thank you ❤️

Where do I begin with my experience at this store in Waxhaw! Incredible service, friendly and knowledgeable employees (Dakota and Frank are both fantastic), answered all of my questions, installed my battery quickly, and even let me know that I could come back to the store if I ever had any problems. I would highly recommend visiting this store for all of your auto needs!

Honest, trustworthy and very helpful. I have shopped in this store many times for our business. And will continue to do so. I was helped with a battery warranty situation I was unaware of and saved me $230. Integrity still exists.

I needed help with a battery yesterday. Dakota greeted me with a smile and told me he would help me figure it out. He tested my old battery and it was determined I needed a new one. After I purchased the new battery he installed it for me. He was very kind and professional.

After getting no help at Auto zone for my heater in my car I came to Advance Auto. Dakota did some troubleshooting and found out it was probably a fuse. Told me which one. He went and got the fuses I needed and I came home and replaced it and problem solved. From now on this is my go to place. Dakota went above and beyond to help. Thank you!

This location in particular is my favorite. I will literally pass the other ones up, just to go to this one. I’ve always gotten good answers to my problems, and solid help solving it, or at least pointing me in the right direction. They do a lot of hands on things for me that I wouldn’t know how to do otherwise, and I have no one to ask.

After getting the run-around at other auto parts stores regarding my battery that I had purchased from a premium out-of-town company, I reluctantly went to get a "third" opinion at Advance and was greeted by a guy named Paris, I explained my situation and Paris was more than helpful--he went over and beyond to test and explain what was going on-mush more what I had experienced from the other auto parts stores-even from the company I spent $300 on the battery originally. I have not had this great of customer service ever. In maintaining 4 vehicles of my own and taking care of even more family & friends vehicles, I continuously spend a ridiculous amount of money at my previous auto parts chain, and now plan to spend it at Advance, all because of the awesome customer service received from Paris. Update 1/2023 It's reassuring to know that at this location, that seems to be its obvious that this location is struggling with constant turnover and short staffing over the last few years. Most employees, including management, severely lack any auto parts knowledge and old school customer service that is essential in any retail business. It's like since the pandemic, this location has lost its way attracting credible, knowledgeable and friendly staff members-except 1 person who has been an icon in this community by word-of-mouth as being THE guy to ask for that has the knowledge of the products he is selling and will take time to explain anything you ask in a friendly way. He is the only reason that I, as well as most of your regular DIY people, even continue to spend our hard-earned money at Advance instead of across the street. You have a goldmine employed there and his name is AL PEREZ. He has been there for years and he continues to be the only person that has the knowledge of all the products and advice on all parts sold at Advance. I am one of at least a dozen customers that have tried to offer him a job, but he humbly denies all offers and is LOYAL to Advance. He is an excellent salesman, educated on the products and parts sold, and is a model for excellent hometown customer service with a genuine offer to help anyone who comes in. I've seen him changing batteries and wiper blades in the pouring and freezing rain so many times, and never a complaint. I speak for so many of your regular customers when I say that AL PEREZ is the only reason we still shop here at Advance Auto. I sincerely hope that during all the turnover and struggles to find an adequate staff at this store, he is appreciated and praised by his superiors as he is valued tremendously by all of Advance Auto Parts customers.

I wish they place a star for -10. This place is gone bad. I walked in to get a set of DTRL, waited 2 minutes for getting noticed by the manager who is tasked with restocking, then he called for someone to help. He could not find the parts number in the website. I googled it an gave him the number. Then I cannot hear what he is talking because loud music, radio conversation and employees verbal altercation. Needless to say I will never walk back it to this store. What happened to customer service, courtesy and professionalism?

I'm not usually the one to leave bad reviews, this was my go to place for simple parts. Had spark plugs ordered after I spoke to the employees. Well a few weeks later after having my car towed to the shop for misfires, the shop told me that I have the wrong plugs in the car, which came from here. Employees are nice, but I would double check any part your putting in your car.

Lacking customer service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking this store off my list of places to get parts. I went to exchange a flasher unit that didn't work. As I walked in, the gentleman behind the counter was on a the phone and called for someone else to help me. As I explain my situation, the gentleman behind the counter, who's on a phone, managed to step into our conversation and say we don't make exchanges for electronic parts. It's a $4 flasher. It's barely electric. Disappointing.

Amazing customer service! They go above and beyond. I called with an inquiry but did not leave my number. Chase ( I believe) found what I was looking for, looked on the caller ID, and called me back immediately. Great people and super helpful!

Al was extremely helpful at helping me find the parts I needed and offered great service. He even came out to my car to see what was needed. Dakota was very helpful at the register. Great location and exceptional service.

They thought I was stealing something. Guy even called someone and they told them they were watching us the whole time. It’s not my fault your alarm thing does not work or did you think I was stealing something because am Hispanic.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. We left and went to Auto Zone directly across the street. Auto Zone is a much nicer cleaner store. The girl behind the register had absolutely no intention of getting up to help us to find what we needed or getting anyone to help us. The best is we were the only people in the store!

This is the advance Auto parts store located in the Food Lion shopping center in downtown waxhaw North Carolina. Staff here is generally friendly and helpful store is clean and neat easy to find items and the guys are willing to help you look things up and get you what you need.

Placed order online for curbside pickup. Got there and there was not a spot or sign indicating what to do or what next steps are. I could have called the store but I decided to go in. This process could be a little more clearer. What I really appreciate is that the service was still great and when the part you ordered isn't exactly compatible with your vehicle, returns are easy.

Customer service is not the strength at this location. I wanted to return antifreeze that I purchased for 14.99 each at Advanced Auto Parts because I found the same for $9 at Wal-Mart. I had the receipt and they told me that they couldn't return it because the receipt was missing a barcode at the bottom. This was the receipt given to me by their company, how is that my problem??? The guy then said, "take it back to the original store that you purchases it from, we didn't give you the receipt with the missing barcode at this location". You're all one company, why should I have to go through this as a customer especially for something that's clearly your fault??? There are literally 3 other auto parts store less than a minute from this location.... guess where I'll be taking my business???

Best part about Advanced Auto is the location. It's so close to my house. So, if I have an emergency need for something, they are close. Although, they won't carry specialized parts.

Agree completely with Tony's 1-Star review...the immigrant manager of this store should be fired asap. I reserved a part online that showed status as In-Stock for this store but when I arrived the next morning to pick it up it wasn't at the store and the manager said it was my fault for not waiting long enough before I came in for it. Go to the AutoZone across the street until this guy gets deported.

Had to get the battery changed on a Prius. These are not easy to find and it took me 2 days to find a store that had this battery. The staff at this location were incredibly helpful - the entire transaction from purchasing to installing was well handled by the staff. This store just moved to the top of my list the next time I need an auto part !
