Great 6 Star place. We were traveling to Massachusetts pulling a Travel Trailer. One of the tires on the trailer needed a valve stem. I don’t think they normally fix trailer tires, BUT THEY DID!!! Great people, all of them. GO THERE!!!! Al
Showed up as a panicked female travel nurse who is not from this area whom happened to be quickly losing tire pressure from running over something. Steve i believe was his name-very much so, saved the day. He patched it and filled the tire back with air and i was on with my day in less than 30 minutes. He went above and beyond!
The worst place in the world to buy a spare part. The boss treated us with hatred, with racism. turning a vacation day into a bad memory. I don't recommend it to anyone. day 12/19/2024.
Lynn Shumate is absolutely the worst store manager in auto parts history. This woman doesn't care about her customers. She only cares about dollars. 3 years ago I quit using AutoZone because they couldn't deliver parts to my business in a three day period. Even after talking to corporate I never got a response as to why. Now three years later, I give them another try after being reassured by employees that they'd see I got my parts, here I am again waiting on parts after ordering them 5 days ago. Ordered Friday, put in order comments to deliver, nothing comes on Monday, call at 4 Monday and ask if they can deliver Tues morning and they say yes. 10 am on Tuesday they call to ask if I am ready for my part..... Of course I am. Now here it is 11:15 and still no axle. AutoZone, do you really not care as a corporation? Is that why you just let her continue to run the store?
I try to do all my business at this location. Great staff! Extremely helpful. It seems like they always have what I'm looking for or are extremely eager to get it for me.
The employees here were very helpful answered all questions and even helped me find the things I was looking for. Was in it out and fixed my problem within a few minutes
Monica at the Elkin Store went above and beyond!!!! I went in for a battery check, which was good. So through the process of elimination we looked at a starter. Being new to the area, I didn't know anyone in this town to help me fix my truck. Monica called a friend to help me out. Her and her friend came to my house after work and changed out the starter. They fixed my issue and I am up and running. That is what you call excellent customer service, going way above and beyond!!! She is a God send!!! So very grateful!
Erik was amazing! Wiper broke on my trek from Maine down to Charlotte, NC .. and of course it’s pouring today. Helped my find the right wiper with the proper connector and even put it on for me! Life saver!!!
the manager at elkin autozone (1678 bridge street) would not replace my starter that was under warranty because and i quote "you need a valid drivers license for us to do a damage swap" mind you i worked at an autozone and i had already spoken with the manager at mooresville location (where i used to work and got my origional starter) and they had told me previously there would be no issue then i go to a different store tell them what happened and i quote "that manager doesnt know what hes doing" WHICH IS TRUE!!!!!! he put me through so much after driving 45 minutes for nothing then was extremely rude to me over the phone when i explained i had my NJ license and wouldnt be getting my NC one for another month he said "sorry cant help you" for those that dont know you dont need a valid license you dont even need a license to do waranty or anything because at the store that helped me it was 2 managers doing it :) so this guy doesnt know what hes doing and is disrespectful all because he LIED if he didnt lie how did i get my starter THE SAME DAY from a different autozone???
Excellent service! They didn't have they part I needed and could order me one and could have it the next day, I explained i was from out of state and needed to get back. So, they helped me locate what I needed so I could continue my travels. I'm very thankful for the two people who were working the counter that day. They went above and beyond what I was expecting.
Called and asked a simple question got ride service, and no one knew what I was talking about, then was told we have em you can come look at them..... Greatttttt.... Cuz I totally would have called to ask if you had the specific part I was looking for if I wanted to drive to twelve stores to find the part...... Do better.
AutoZone is the only place that I can find parts for my older vehicles that I own thanks to the company for having the parts I need keep up the good work great people and clean environment
They went above and beyond to help us. Wolf and Peter ( from taylorsville store) were amazing. Peter checked on us periodically while my husband replaced a part on our car. We were traveling due to a death in the family and they truly made a difference. This is the type of thing that will make us repeat customers for life. Peter, thank you for your encouragement.
I called ahead for parts as I am located about 15 miles from this store, sadly the closest store to me. This is the 3rd time this has happened, they tell me they have the parts I need and then when I get there they do not have what I need. As I said I called ahead to not have to make 2 trips! They have no respect for a loyal customers time or loyalty in this store! I will shop other Autozone stores in the future because I have always received good service elsewhere for many years in many areas, from SW Florida to Vermont and many locations between. This store I will avoid even if I have to pay a little more elsewhere.

Due to a blown headlight: Midway through a 12-hour road trip found this Autozone. Resulted in upgrade of both headlights with better lighting in my 4Runner for an affordable price. Employees were very friendly and helpful & Keith even came out of the store to assist in the lightbulb swap!
I love that the people at auto zone are always helpful and knowledgeable. I've went to other auto parts stores and have been given the wrong part and have to return and do the process all over again. That's a frustrating experience. I've never had that happen at autozone. They will install some parts as well like batteries or wipers. I was even offered assistance putting freon in my a/c! I also like their rewards program. Great store!
Great service! Friday our radiator cracked and we barely made it off an exit to a gas station parking lot let alone able to make it two more exits to auto zone. We called auto zone and told them the problem and Bob brought us a new one. Excellent service and extremely friendly! Yall made us able to make it to WV for a great riding weekend. Thank you!!
I’m happy everyone else has had a good experience here however mine was not. I called to see if I could bring back a socket wrench set that was missing a socket when I purchased it and was told no I would need to drive an hour and a half back to the original store and return it there. When I inquired why seeing as it is a chain and they should be able to return it at the Elkin Location the manager, Rusty responded that it was impossible for the socket to be missing and insinuated that I must be lying. This was rude and unprofessional seeing as how A “manager “responded with such a disrespectful comment. I work in retail and this would never be tolerated in any of our stores. I will however be reporting it to corporate.
I like this place, the staff attend to your needs promptly, courteously, and professionally. The always have good sale items and the motor stands they sale are the best I've found for the money. They also have a decent selection of aftermarket race wires and small block Chevy parts. Also over bought alot of good tools here, they hold up very well and have a lifetime warranty. One more thing, don't forget if you require a specialty tool to change a part with a collateral payment you can usually rent it here and then return it for a refund. Everything I have bought from Autozone has been great so check em out
I'm in the elkin aurozone all the time they know my by first name down there and I never have a problem they know exactly what they're talking about if I tell em I need a part I get it immediately its always a good experiece when I go to autozone
