Kathy Dix is such a sweet and honest person. She's the owner of Just Plain Country. She's friendly and cares about her customers. The store is interesting, clean w/ good prices and so many options. Mom and I loved it!
Such a delightful experience in Walnut Cove NC! A little bit of everything and something for everyone. The best prices on DIY floral stems and pre-made bows that are beyond compare. And the staff? Just as wonderful and even inventory knowledgeable as you could hope for. But let me warn you, if you only have an hour or two you may want to wait. This is a full-on adventurer's dream!
Talk about variety! Old and new, big and small, Just Plain Country Store has it all! This upstanding and outstanding store is a reflection of its propriety!
Just Plain Country store is an array of antiques and vintage country items. There is definitely something for everyone. I go there weekly for the stuffed peppers, purchased 3 sets of fall flowers. Kathy is amazing as well as the other staff. I could spend hours here, and plan to do so soon. Please visit, it is a small business with an amazing atmosphere!
Absolutely love everything about The Just Plain Country Store! The owner, Kathy, is a sweetheart and all her staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely a fun place to shop with all the 150 vendors and different items coming in constantly!
This place is great. We stop by every chance we get. We find something every time we stop in. If you don’t fine any antiques they have great homemade snacks. The people are great very helpful and friendly and go out of their way to make sure your shopping experience is great.
Visited this wonderful store while staying in Walnut Cove for a few days. We met a sweet woman named Cathy. She let us know where the restrooms were and that there was more to see downstairs. We shopped around and both my wife and I found a few things that we could not live without. The next day we decided to go back and pick up a couple more things that we eyed the previous day. We once again had spoke with Cathy, whose heart and soul came from God above. We inquired about a sign but we were told that it was not for sale as it was owned by the store. Well lo and behold that sweet woman gifted us that sign. My wife and I both made another purchase and could not be more blessed than to meet Cathy. You will know her when you see her as she has the bluest eyes imaginable. Thank you Cathy for your hospitality.
So much to see and great prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There's also a downstairs that's full of stuff. Each "stall" is a different vendor, so there's quite a large variety of items.
We drove an hour to visit this place and it was most definitely worth it! A awesome store with something for everyone! A great place to find a unique gift. Lots of handmade items, antiques, vintage, baked goods, canned goods and lots more! The owner Kathy is such a sweet lady and everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. We will most definitely be back!
Selection is ok. Lots of new crafty stuff along with vintage. But I really want to let you know that even though the store says it closed at 5 they are kicking you out at 4:45 and aren’t nice about it. They won’t even let you look downstairs at that time and are hollering out is anybody in here. They need to advertise the store closes at 4:45. They also already had the door locked from outside at 4:45 and had to unlock it to let me out. If I was a vender there I wouldn’t be happy.
Such a gem hiding in small town Walnut Cove. Cathy is precious & so helpful. Her staff is the same way. So many goodies to find. Love this place. Stop in for a shopping trip. You won't be disappointed.
We knew this place closed at 5, came in after eating at El Cabo at 4:20. Immediately the start was true and telling us they are closing. While downstairs they even started shutting lights off and when walking out they had the door locked at 4:45. If you want to get out so bad close earlier. It was extremely unwelcoming and rude! Left feeling unsettled, why be so weird and rude to people. Just came to buy stuff. My girlfriend bought some stuff still, yet again, just not friendly or welcoming staff at all. Our interactions with several was dry.
My wife really enjoyed visiting the Country Store yesterday. They have everything you're looking for, thank y'all for the dessert we enjoyed that. She even got a Barn Quilt for her birthday ?
We’ve visited 3 times so far and each time is a better shopping experience than the last. Kathy is super friendly! I love how there’s always a new selection to check out and prices are very reasonable. If you’re in the area, I highly recommended stopping by - there’s so much to see!
Visited for the first time today. The people were so very friendly and my husband and I so enjoyed the gospel music while we shopped! There is just so much here to look at, make sure you have a lot of time to spend when you come. It being our first time, we got a free dessert. We got the apple turnover and German chocolate cake. Delicious!!! We will definitely be back.
My husband and I went in for the first time Saturday and oh my goodness!!! I literally could have spent the entire day there. My mom and sister are coming into town in a few weeks and we will definitely be going. Everything is very neat and flows well. Even if you aren’t looking for anything in particular it’s such a neat place to just look. Brings back so many memories when you see certain items. The staff were all so kind and helpful. We never once felt pressured. Every time anyone passed they greeted us with a friendly smile and hello. Very family feel. Highly suggest stopping by if you’re anywhere close to Walnut Cove!
Nice place to visit. On our trip we saw lots of old antique items and many new craft items. We were there looking for old coffee pots. The staff was friendly and helpful.
