Set to the store to speak to JB who I was told to find something fairly unusual. His first sentence to me was "I don't spend my time looking for power steering pumps for boats". I guess this store is just like every other automotive store these days. If they can't punch some keys on their computer and find it, they can't find it.
I went to O'Reillys to purchase fan belt dressing. At the counter was a girl with a nose ring and I asked her where the fan belt dressing was. She looked at me like I had two heads. Two other employees were in the store and one of them was a few feet from her and he heard my question, nothing from him. She pointed her finger at him and he seemed like he didn't want to help her, finally, he said aisle 6. Why would you place a new employee at the counter with no experience of products? Shouldn't she first stock the shelves to learn about where the products are? That's the reason I quit purchasing products from Auto Zone. Nothing but women and none of them had any auto parts training. I left O'Reillys and visited Auto Zone and an employee walked me where the product was. This was a big difference from my last experience at Auto Zone. O'Reilly must have cut the salaries to the bone for the help they have.
They don't want to honor a lifetime warranty. Multiple employees told me they would not warranty a radiator with a lifetime warranty after a few years.
At a first glance this store may seem bland, may seem flavorless, and overall boring. And that is exactly what I thought…. Until an employee guided me to the keychain section…. A marvelous place with many wonders to dote upon, I spent hours and hours and settled with the marvelous “Gear Shifter” key chain….. what hero led me to this section? What knight in shining armor unveiled this wonder? Some would say he’s a company man…. I just call him Zack
They were very helpful. The other auto parts store were no help finding a water pump fitting but the guy that waited in me knew what I needed and they had the right fitting
I've had good luck there. Staff has been friendly and helpful, most parts needed have been in stock. That alone is beyond the norm for today's standards.
Fairly knowledgeable staff as far as parts stores go. And so far they have had the correct part I needed for different jobs with little to no headache.
Went in at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. Only one other customer and the two sales people were too busy listening to his story about how bad cops are and bragging about going 100 mph and he was using the F word and GD and instead of stopping him the clerk was agreeing with him and never even spoke to us. Very poor first impression.
